Description of Work: Came out December 8th took some measurement said he would email me in a month never heard from him again. I bought this service thinking he could give me an idea for my kitchen then if I liked it he would do the work I think my job was not big enough for him. I did pay $49.00 that I am hoping can be returned to me.

Description of Work: Bathroom remodel

Description of Work: I called 4 times and left 4 voicemail messages (and I called all different times of the day), and I didn't even receive the courtsey of a call back. I really liked what I read about them on Angie's list, but am not sur why they wouldn't be professionals and return a phone call. It's OK if they're too busy, just call me back and tell me so. I had a significant renovation project, so it wasn't like I was call for a scope of work that's too little for them.

Description of Work: We had been in search for the right contractor for a while when I spoke with Rob from Pittsburgh Remodeling Company. The other contractors we interviewed were either too expensive, never showed up for an interview or we felt that they would not be able to adequately make our vision of our dream bathroom come to life. The minute Rob came to our house we new that he would be perfect for the job. He was very friendly and professional. He listened to our wish list, added some suggestions, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Rob was very sensitive to our concerns about staying within our budget. We worked out a deal that we would do some of the work ourselves, ie demolition, painting, so that we could stay within our budget. We wanted a modern, unique bathroom retreat and that is exactly what we achieved. Our bathroom was not an easy remodel. It was a complete tear down to the studs. We also extended the width of the bathroom by over 2 feet into our bedroom, moved a closet door, moved the plumbing to add a bathtub, and moved the existing shower to the other side of the bathroom. Throughout the remodel, Rob and his crew(Chris, Jeremy, Scott) were always on time and always very friendly and courteous. We had many different types of materials to contend with including, split-face stone and rosewood planks for the wall surrounding the bathtub, a pebble shower floor, glass tile for the shower wall, travertine floor, resin, and glazed tile above our sink. We had initially planned on having the contractor who built our concrete trough sink also design a tub for us. But when that didn't work out, Rob was very flexible and had some great suggestions when we changed the design. We love the outcome even more. He had to also delay his work when the other contractor making the sink took a little longer than we had anticipated. He never complained. Rob was always very accommodating. Pittsburgh Remodeling Company was very meticulous in their work- even filing down all the sharp edges of the split-face stone. Rob also built a shelf outside our shower area out of the rosewood that looks amazing. Rob even made us a little shelf out of the extra rosewood that extends across the bathtub and also sanded a piece of wood we've had for years that we are going to use in our bedroom. He went above and beyond what any other contractor would do to make us happy. When we were initially not satisfied with the pebble shower floor, he redid it for us. He said he would do it until we were happy. Now, it's perfect. We used the electrician Rob works with and he did a great job installing recessed lighting, sconces, and a pendant lamp. We also used Rex Glass at Rob's suggestion and we love the shower door and mirror they installed. We also had Rob and his crew design and make our cabinets for the bathroom. It was great and convenient to have experienced carpenters working with us. In order to save us money, they used the expensive rosewood only on the outside cabinet doors. They used plywood and cherry stained to look the same as the rosewood everywhere else. The results are amazing and exactly what we had envisioned. In short, we are thrilled with the outcome of our bathroom. We can truly say the results have exceeded our high expectations. Working with Rob and his crew was a great experience and we can recommend them without any hesitation. They were honest, trust worthy and above all true craftsman. They took great pride in their work and did everything in their power to make us happy.

Description of Work: I emailed this company on Saturday, 8/25, requesting an appt to review/bid on kitchen updating in my home. In less than 48 hours, I received an email advising me that they no longer perform work in my area, and suggesting another contractor. Though this company will not be working for me, I will gladly remember their name and suggest them to anyone I know who is looking for this type of work. Such a high level of professionalism and rapid response is, sadly, almost unheard of anymore, and certainly when the company won't even be taking the job. In my opinion, their taking the time to respond speaks volumes.
