From installation to training, Ed, Maurice and Justin were great! Maurice and Justin had the fence and flags installed in no time. They were punctual, friendly and very professional. Ed was as well friendly, punctual and very professional. He truly is a dog whisperer. He really knows his stuff when it comes to training dogs. It hasn't been a week yet and I'm already able to play with my dog in the yard with no worries of him running away. If you're on the "fence" don't hesitate to hire Ed and his crew. You won't be disappointed!

Showed up on time. Went above and beyond in regards to the install. Very professional installation. Very happy with the product. Training was completed in one day and my dog took to it very quickly. Product and service was great. We had our invisible Pittsburgh Pet Fence installed last October when the weather was starting to turn and we were running out of daylight (not the best time to train, but we needed it before winter.) Ed and Maurice were great and obviously dog lovers. Our dog Stanley got "corrected" a few times. He doesn't necessarily realize the extent of his boundaries not because of any defect in the product or training, but because Stanley is not a very smart dog. I mean he eats his own poop for pete's sake! Despite his lack of intelligence (or because of it) we all feel comfortable leaving Stanley outside unattended (even my young kids.) Also, plenty of people walk there dogs right past our house and Stanley doesn't even think about approaching them. So, I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I just had my pet fence installed and the process could not have gone better from the first call to the training visit from Ed. I originally found PPF on Angie's list and was blown away by the amazing reviews. After doing some research I called and spoke to Ed the owner directly. He spent a good amount of time telling me about the history of the company and what makes his product better than the rest. I was impressed by the passion he had for what he does and for keeping people's fur kids safe and sound. When I decided to move ahead with the purchase I dealt with Joyce on the phone and by text and email. She was always very pleasant and prompt in responding. When Maurice arrived to install the fence he was a great guy and did a fast and very neat job, explaining things to me as he went. It was quite muddy that day and he made sure to be careful in my home and cleaned up after himself. That afternoon Ed came himself to train our pup and us. He was extremely informative took lots of care with our doggie! We are still in the early stages but my Frankie seems to be catching on nicely and will be running free around the yard in no time I'm sure. I can't have asked for anything to have been performed better. We are extremely pleased with the product and can leave our dogs out fully confident that they will be safe in our yard. Twice i have had to contact Ed to get another collar because we keep adding to the family and in those interactions he is extremely helpful and expedites the new collar to us.

The service was terrific. I originally called and spoke with the owner. He took my call and spent great deal of time speaking with me over the phone. We had an installer come out the following week. The owner then came out the same afternoon and showed us the system, how it worked, and spent time training all three of our dogs. He left making sure I completely understood what training was needed. He was also extremely friendly and personable.

Everyone was incredibly professional, prompt, and hard-working. We had other work being done the same day and the Pittsburgh Pet Fence people were great about everything. The training was extensive and worked well - my dog was pretty good within a week and 100% trained within 2-3 weeks.

It could not have possibly gone any better. From the first phone call, they were incredible, they communicate well, they are straightforward, they properly manage expectations and they care about what they are doing. The installer Maurice, was a very hard worker, and used his time efficiently, while also being respectful of my property and answering any questions I had. He was also very polite and took pride in what he was doing. This is the kind of person you want working in and around your home. He also cleaned up after himself. Ed- the "top dog" came to do training with my 2 dogs and explained everything from top to bottom, also taking time to answer questions. I am very critical of having people around my place to work and I would have these guys back- no problem at all. The system and this company are exactly what every dog owner should have.

About 2 years ago we had the invisible fence installed by Pittsburgh Pet Fence. There were no issues with installation and the workers were very polite and efficient. The owner, Ed, came the same day to train our dog and show us how everything worked. We have a 85 lb lab mix that is so very active. We live on the corner of a busy street and this fence has been been wonderful! Our Copper loves his freedom and we love ours too! Recently we had an issue with the collar charging. Although it has been two years, it was great to learn that Ed and Pittsburgh Pet Fence are still consider us clients and resolved the issue quickly and professionally!

I actually had a fence that I personally installed from Home Depot. It worked for a while, but then the wire kept deteriorating in spots and it was difficult to locate the split. This fence works great and has a lifetime guarantee! The cost was not much different from the one I did myself and the collar and product are a higher quality!

He even kept my 3 daughters engaged with a few magic tricks. My 4 year old, Abby, is now infatuated with doing magic. She puts a quarter in her hands, tells me to close my eyes and blow on her hand, then while my eyes are closed she drops the quarter behind her back.... and TA-DA! They should really include the magic show as part of the service! :) Seriously though, if you live in the Pittsburgh area and need an invisible fence, this is your company! Excellent customer service and I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the investment.

I never thought I'd keep my Jack Russell in the yard. The other day, I kid you not, he saw a cat a few doors down. He barked like crazy but didn't cross those flags. A great product from a reputable company!

I performed a Google search for a local Pittsburgh company to provide an electric pet fence for our new puppy. I found Pittsburgh Pet Fence and made the call. The owner, Ed Fogarty, immediately answered the phone and over the phone was able to review my property and provide me with a quote for installation within 5 minutes. This was great as it avoided the hassle of scheduling an appointment for him to come to my home and further delay the installation. The price was fair and we scheduled the work to be done. On the day of installation, Ed's employee arrived on time and walked with me around my property to determine where I wanted the training flags placed. The installation only took an hour or 2. Ed came to my home later that afternoon to provide instruction for me on how to use the system and training for my dog. Everything worked great. We were very happy with the service and continue to be very happy with the system. I like the fact that Ed Fogarty is a Pittsburgh native and local company and, therefore, able to provide personal assistance, if it is needed. My dog recently ate part of the clasp of his training collar and Ed was very responsive in helping me obtain a new collar. Very easy, very prompt and very professional. Service and price were phenomenal. Ed was punctual, thorough and very professional. Additionally, they provide reference materials for you to self manage possible problems. The rechargeable collars are a lifesaver vs having to buy a new battery. Also, the unique multi warning for approaching the barrier has kept my 2 dogs in flawlessly. Have recommended this provider to friends and family and will continue to do so. The fence was installed and all my landscaping was put back to its original condition.

Everything has gone smooth as butter. My great Dane Nylah has not left the yard at all since the installation. It only took a day or two for Nylah to learn the boundaries and she only got zapped 2 or 3 times . two months later now Nylah knows those boundaries still and we've had no problems at all...this system is all they say it is and more. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone. I must note that my dog is huge, a great Dane who is very curious and loved to run. Even a shock collar we had didn't keep her in the yard...but this system from Pittsburgh pet fence company was better than I ever could have imagined. Best money I've ever spent

After checking out several similar services on Angie’s List and speaking with owner Ed, I had him come to install the pet fence system. Ed and his worker were prompt in arriving when they said they would; were polite and pleasant to deal with; and thoroughly explained what they needed to do and how the system worked. After the installation was done Ed spent time teaching us how to train our dog and had my son practice to get comfortable working with Tambo. The whole experience was good and more than met my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.
