They called me back and said the collar was but if I wanted to pick it up he would should me what to check for including how make sure the fit was fitted correctly. He also showed me a display system he has at his house how to make sure all the setting should be set. They didn't charge me anything for the service. Great people and have always had great response if there was a problem.

Best part is the rechargeable collar! We have had our system since 2013 and still going strong. Goes for months before recharging and easy to do. Best decision for our pet. And the customer service is above and beyond!!

I interviewed 3 invisible fencing companies before settling on Pittsburgh Pet Fence. I was a bit apprehensive about going this route with our dog, but up to this point we simply could not get her to stop running/ripping up the gardens. Ed is great to work with. He is personable, knowledgeable, and a competent trainer. Our back yard property is already fenced, but our pup kept wanting to run through the gardens. PPF was able to set up perimeter fencing to maximize Chloe's use of the backyard while keeping her safely out of the gardens. We also wanted her to be able to be in the front yard without concern of her running to the road. Ed came out the same day of installation and personally trained Chloe. He quickly acclimated our dog to the cautions and she caught on quickly. He leaves you with an exact program to follow to continue the training, as well as, his assurance that should you need additional consultation you only need to reach out. Absolutely fantastic. Ed Fogarty is wonderful work with. He is friendly, enthusiastic, and totally sympathetic to the concerns of pet owners. His installers are prompt, professional, and just as friendly as he is. We had a relatively large install on a working farm and Ed and his crew went the extra mile to make sure our system was securely installed to withstand the tractors and other heavy equipment we use here on a daily basis. Ed returned (to train us!) to train our dog, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Additionally, Ed stands behind his system and products and will always return your call, no matter what question or problem you may have. I pride myself on being "capable" and seriously considered installing a store-bought system by myself. Ed was really great with our dogs and everything, from the install to the training was flawless. We are really happy with our fence - we live on a really busy street and having the dogs protected gives us peace of mind.

I called and spoke to the owner and the next day they came and installed my fence. The installation crew arrived right on the scheduled time and were courteous and professional. The owner spent time with my puppy and did the training and worked to ensure I understood the equipment and system. Great! The communication is fantastic! the installers were amazing Joyce answered all my question and Ed well I cant say enough about Ed i have a pit bull mix and a lab mix with 2 very different personalty's. I can't say enough positive things. From the very beginning to the very end, it was so easy. I submitted a request for a quote and got called very quickly by Ed, who was able to give me a quote and answer all of my questions over the phone. We lucked out and got an appointment in just a couple weeks even though it was the busy season. The installation was easy and quick. Ed helped us do initial training and left us great material to continue the training after he left. Our dog picked up on the training very quickly. It's been 3 months and we're in love with the fence! Not only was this product wonderful, but it was better priced than the competitors. Would do this again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I recently purchased an underground electric fence from "Pittsburgh Pet Fence, LLC" and we couldn't be happier with the decision. We recently moved into a new neighborhood with a little over a half acre of land and wanted to protect our two dogs (5lb Yorkie "Bruiser" & 35 Mini Golden Doodle "Romeo") from ruining out onto the streets as well as stop them from doing their business in our new neighbors lawn. The owner of PPF, LLC "Ed" was extremely helpful from he very first communication and throughout the entire process. He and his team of installers were very professional and pleasant to deal with answering each and every question throughout the process. After the fence was installed, Ed came out for the training portion of the job and educated us on what we needed to do to get our two dogs to learn the system. He was clear and precise and in fact its only been one week and the GoldenDoodle has already perfected his boundaries and understands the flags, the Yorkie is a little older and still a work in progress but everyday with Ed's instructions its getting better and better. The yard that it was installed in is pristine and the cuts are almost unnoticeable after one week of the grass growing. The best part about this process is that we researched several companies and the fact that the PPF, LLC has the rechargeable collars is a huge A+ for them as you can spend $80-$100 a year per collar for the lifetime of the unit which makes them a premium product in my opinion and well worth it. Installers were top notch. They worked hard, were friendly, efficient and answered all our questions. Ed's spent a lot of time training our dog. His hands on training techniques will be beneficial. His explanations of the system was what we needed.

Very well. Best pet fence we’ve had out of several. The installation was quick and thorough, and the dogs were trained the first day. Really. I like the rechargeable batteries on the collar-only needs to be done every 60 days or so and the charger gives alerts. Great experience all around!

Pittsburgh Pet Fence did an amazing job installing our fence and teaching us (and our dog) how to use it. It has been such a relief to know that our dog is safe in the yard, especially since we live on a street that is often busy with cars. Thank you Pittsburgh Pet Fence for installing our second system at our house in Mercer county. Reliable, friendly and affordable we asked if Pittsburgh Pet Fence could install a fence to keep our dogs safe at the lake. We were very happy that they would come all the way to Mercer county as it is a bit of a hike for them. They installed the fence in such a way that our dogs can be safe but still be able to safely run to the dock and get on the boat. Love the rechargeable collars and the fact that if I have had any questions they have been answered quickly. I have never had a problem at either of my properties with our pet fences. Installers are professional and we have been very pleased.

Exceptional service. Ed and his team arrived as promised, installed the fence in no time, and trained our golden doodle, Maizie the same day. We had the fence installed In the spring of 2014 to protect our puppy from a very heavily travelled highway. We have about an acre fenced in so she has plenty of room to run and play and we never have to worry about leaving her outside where she spends so much of her time. The rechargeable collar is an awesome addition...just place on top of box and let charge all night as you sleep. I provide Maizie with the best: food, groomer, vet care and tons of love. The invisible fence was the best decision that I’ve made in a long while ! Ed and his team were fantastic to work with and Belle my springer spaniel puppy has quickly learned the system . Works great !

Hello, I had my Pittsburgh Pet Fence installation about a month ago and wanted to share my experience. Let me preface by saying I am a retired K9 Sergeant with the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police so I know a few things about canines. Pittsburgh Pet Fence has been a terrific company to do business with. Starting out with evaluating my needs, walking the property, explaining the product, training and even follow up communications regarding satisfaction which have continued even after payment in full. Ed (President/Owner) was energetic and extremely knowledgeable not only about the product he sells but of the nature of our four-legged friends. Once I decided to purchase, (which was a no hustle and no pressure event) Ed worked around my family’s hectic schedule to insure I could be present for the installation. The installer, Maurice, arrived at the scheduled time and after a brief introduction/explanation of what was to occur, he went right to work. I might add that this particular day was rainy, and he had to go in and out of the residence several times. Considering the yard and conditions became muddy and wet, Maurice made sure to not track any of that mess into the house. Installation went without remark and before he left he advised that Ed would be there shortly for training. He was correct, they literally handed off in the driveway, no delay of my day, no waiting for information or phone messages about getting tied up etc. (I am sure people have known these experiences). Ed was professional and courteous and went right into training to insure we had enough daylight to get in our first session. Again, I was a canine guy, so I understand dog behavior, but I never let on. Sure enough, Ed hit all the points right on target and what surprised me the most was he even used the same vernacular I have used in training. My dogs love having the entire yard to run around in. It’s calmed them down, too. Ed’s training was fantastic. They picked it up super quick. It’s the best money we ever spent. I highly recommend Ed. We recommended him to family who used his services & are very happy as well.

My wife and I chose Ed based on his AngiestList reviews and we were not disappointed. Ed and his team were excellent during the installation and kept the yard destruction at an absolute minimum (which I could not have done). If the flags were removed, you'd never know there was a pet fence. Ed explained everything very thoroughly and his service was top notch. We're only a few days in to the training but we are so excited to let our very energetic dog run free, who had put stuck on a leash the last month after we moved into a new house. Ed also assured us they are always available should we have questions or concerns. Great experience, we highly recommend this company. Worth every penny when you consider the entire endeavor of installing one of these. As a side note, we purchased a 400 dollar wireless unit originally and this blows it away. Simply outstanding. We adopted a rescue beagle from Foreverhome Beagle Rescue (who I also highly recommend) in 2015. We were told by the agency and countless other stories and articles online that "invisible fences don't work with beagles" because of their very strong nose and stubborn single-mindedness. After Snoopy's initial training, we've only experienced one accident where he left the fence (and he immediately sat and waited by our driveway) and one instance where he slid in the mud and got a shock and came right back in the three years we've had the system. And to be clear to other people familiar with beagles, I've seen him bolt full speed after rabbits, squirrel, and deer in our yard and just come to a full stop right at the edge of his fence. The system works. We recently added a collar to the existing system for our second rescue beagle and so far, so good. Ed is professional, personable, and really has a caring knack for training dogs. Look at the other reviews, and ask your local neighbors who have his system. You'd be hard-pressed to find a negative thing about Pittsburgh Pet Fence.
