They were on time, they gave quality service, the price was a little higher than I would have liked, they gave a good financing option.

Very disappointed. All I needed was for this guy to start up my a/c -- a 30min job, but all he did was to write up a crazy- overpriced estimate -- 10x what another HVAC contractor charged -- & act as though it was the most difficult, dangerous job in the world. I had purchased a service package through Angie's for Phillips, but not only wouldn't he do the simple system start-up for that price, he wouldn't refund the package I had purchased -- resulting in my paying $99 for a rip-off estimate. While the tech was very nice, I could immediately tell he lacked much HVAC knowledge when he acted completely confused by the zoning system in my house & started asking really dumb questions about it. Then, to cover his lack of knowledge & perhaps set up a sale for even more work, he then started criticizing the system he didn't have the knowledge or experience to understand. (The system has worked perfectly since being started up by another company two years ago -- it took them 15mins) If you want a nice guy who's prompt & wears blue booties, this might be your company, but if you need knowledgeable, reasonable & honest HVAC service, I would steer clear.

Long story short. The first sign of winter I try my furnace to see if all is good. When it does not turn on I call Phillips. For the last three winters, I call Phillips. Winter 2015 comes around and I call. I get bad news this time. 13,000 worth of bad news including a Carbon leak. My partner says " get a second opinion" So, I get a second opinion. Turns out the Thermo Couple needed to be replaced. Home Depot for $13.00 and the Company that did the Second opinion showed me how to install it. Then I had the local Fire Department come in to do a Air Quality / Carbon Test for FREE and there is no leak! REALLY!!??? I would not recommend Phillips, Try AirServe

Our furnace was nearly 60 years old and was dying a slow, agonizing death. When John Phillips, Jr. came to my house to give me my "free" estimate in regards to what I would need in a new furnace and what it would cost, it was very comforting to know I was dealing with a true professional who not only cared about what I wanted and could afford, but was very pleasant throughout the process. After my husband and I talked it over, we decided to hire Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning not only for a new furnace but chose to also have central air installed and we were not disappointed. John explained what would take place and that it would only take a day (and it did) and come spring, the A/C would be completely installed. When the day came to install the furnace, Austin and Kevin were the professionals who arrived on time, kept working the whole time and not only completed the work in one day but did one heck of a job doing that. They even hauled out my old furnace. Kevin and Austin were friendly, courteous and knew what they were doing. They respected your house and the space they were working in by cleaning up and making sure they did not get anything else dirty. It was a pleasure to have them install my furnace. I would recommend Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning to anyone who wanted top-quality professionals to install their heating and/or air needs. This company will be the caretakers of my new furnace throughout its existence and then some.

My experience with Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning (Jim Phillips) was phenomenal. Jim was initially contacted to provide an estimate to extend my current hot water/radiant heating system to a new section of our home, the kitchen. To my dismay, I was informed by Jim (and every other heating professional that visited my home) that not only was my preconceived solution inefficient, but the current house system was inadequately designed. (Which explained why the house would never get above 62 F in the winter despite running the furnace constantly.) As an engineer by profession, I prefer to know the specifics of any job before committing to a decision. Jim was more than willing to sit down with me to discuss the specifics, offer his professional opinion, and to explain his assessment in detail. Estimates from several companies were obtained and ranged up to $20,000 for a job that was initially budgeted at an order of magnitude less. The estimate from Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning was not the lowest nor was it the highest from all the estimates. Based on my interactions with Jim I felt the most confident in the quality of work that would be performed by Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning, unfortunately I was not able to afford the full-service solution. After discussing the specifics of estimate with Jim I proposed a second option which would provide the necessary mechanical solution to correct the heating situation in my home while minimizing the associated labor costs. This option involved working with Jim to provide the specifications on a new, properly designed system and myself to perform the labor for installation. In addition to the consultation on the initial design, Jim also provided continuous support (i.e., late-night phone calls) while I taught myself how and how not to install the system. Jim also offered to loan out his personal tools so that I could complete the project without having to buy specialized tooling. In the end I spent several thousands of dollars on hardware, developed a new appreciation for the plumbing trade, and depleted my vacation hours performing a job that I would have hired Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning to do, had I budgeted correctly. Jim was the only person willing to go out of his way to accommodate my needs. Without his generosity I honestly do not know how I would resolved the situation I found myself in. I would have no hesitation to work with Jim again, although if there is ever a next time I hope to be in better financial shape such that I can afford to utilize all the services Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning has to offer.

Jim Phillips came out and gave me a (free!) second opinion on an expensive job that had been recommended by another company. The scheduling, timing, and service call were all handled very professionally. Most importantly, Jim's expert diagnostic skill saved me a lot of money on a repair / replacement of my furnace that ruined out to be unnecessary. I very much appreciate this expert and professional service call, and will be switching to Phillips for my regular furnace service.

Between the guys in my house and the people back in the office helping me order appropriate heating and cooling units for my house, the team (mostly all last named Phillips) worked all day to install the new units. On the outside, they really did an excellend, clean job creating a whole new slab for my compressor unit. On the inside, they redid all the duct work and piping to the unit and were very respectful of the space, running the pipes near the walls and along the contours of the room rather than just slapping them up through the middle of the room. They have good financing options and helped get me through the sticker shock of suddenly having to replace both units. After installation, they do a complimentary, "Start Up," service to be sure that the units are running as they should. They have been able to work with my busy schedule and will do the courtesy of calling ahead when they are on their way to give me time to leave work so I'm not sitting around the house all day. The air conditioner worked well through the end of the summer and the heater is, thus far, working just fine. I am extremely happy with the service I've received and will recommend them to anyone.

They installed our furnace and later on did our ac.......always do a good job and keeps our stuff running good!

Exceptional. Even though many other homes had similar furnace issues, Phillips was able to get to me and replace the furnace within just a day or two. The technicians were also a pleasure to work with, especially considering they were running on little sleep due to high demand for their services.

It went very well. They were very professional as far as advising and explaining what they were doing. They also gave us some options of what we can do with the air conditioning system for the future in regards to watching for any potential problems.

They are wonderful. They're professional. They solve any issues that come up and their response time is incredible. We've been dealing with them for many years (about 20+) and they're always great.

They never bothered giving me a proposal. I was very disappointed. They never responded. I called them and sent them an email. He just ignored me. He showed up on time. They could have responded to my request for a proposal. It means to say that they're not interested in doing it. They don't have the courtesy to do that.

Our experience with them was fine. The price just stayed at the $55 Big Deal. I was not home when they came. My mother-in-law was here and she said it was a very pleasant man who came. They did exactly what we asked them.

I have a very old whole house unit (20years) so , I get it checked every year before use.Phillips always does a good job and if there's a problem they explain it and give options. No scare tactics. I like that most of all. Professional, clean. Good enough for me!

They did the inspection and it was good. They have fast service and was easy to get an appointment.

Things went great, there was one technician that came out. We didn't have to pay more than the 55.00 dollars even though he replaced a part when doing the inspection. I would definitely use him again in the future.

Jim Phillips did an excellent job explaining the process that would be involved to re-route duct work. He knew exactly what needed to be done.

Our furnace stopped working sometime during the night and it was -5 degrees outside and about 40 inside; the water pipes in the kitchen were frozen. I called Phiilips Heating about 5:30 am and the answering service said they would fax over our request for service so it would be there first thing when they came in. I got a call before 8:00 am and someone was here by 8:30. The service person, Ian, said they did not have the part and would have to order it and pick it up and they would be back in the afternoon to put it in. We were afraid it would be more like tomorrow. He was back by 11:30 am with the part and had it installed and working pretty quickly. The furnace heats better than it ever has before. In the past, if it got below 20 degrees outside, the temperature in the house would drop sometimes as low as 62 degrees and we would get out a space heater to stay warm. We are now toasty warm and very happy with the service. I know they were very busy that day and we really appreciate the quick response and the outstanding professional service from Ian and Phillips Heating and Air.

It was fine. They came within a week from our phone call. They made some recommendations as far as routine maintenance for the filters and stuff like that. It took them within 45 minutes to finish the job. They were cordial and professional.

Service was very good. The other company (Proudfoot) told me my unit needed to be replaced. Phillips found out that I only needed to have my fluids adjusted.

It was great. Its the best money I've ever spent on Big Deal. The guy who came out cleaned it real good and made sure everything was working properly. He spent a lot of time on the furnace. I'd recommend them o any body.
