Description of Work: They have done tuning of furnace. He noticed a leak from one of the pipes and told me that he will get back to me in couple of days to discuss repairing the leak. I have not heard back from him till date.

Description of Work: Contacted office and requested inspection and proposal on replacing air-conditioning system. Advised that a Mr. Phillips was available for a 10 am appointment that coming Monday morning. I stayed home for his appointment . He did not show and did not call to reschedule.

Description of Work: I've used Phillips in the past and have been happy. On this occasion my air conditioner blower was not working. Phillips told me the repair work would cost $1800 but would sell me a brand new unit for $3000. We contacted another company and they replaced the blower motor for $280. I do not want to use this company again because I believe they were trying to manipulate me into purchasing a new AC unit.

Response from Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning Company
Our technician arrived and found that the furnace was heavily sooted and also found large holes in the faceplate and heat exchanger. This furnace is leaking carbon monoxide into the living space. We advised the client that the furnace is unsafe to operate and cannot be made safe, the furnace needs to be replaced. The client asked us to clean the furnace anyway so that he can get another month out of it. The furnace was condemned due to the cracks in the heat exchanger, not because it was too dirty to use. Cleaning the furnace would not have helped the situation and may have made the danger worse. We then advised the client to not use the furnace ( we left it off at the electrical switch ) and to contact Angie's List for a refund as we did not clean the furnace.

Description of Work: Biannual furnace check; company rep was on time and explained what he did. He made us aware of a part that would eventually need replacing but did not pressure us to replace it now. We are very pleased, and always have been, with this company.
