First time to use them, found through Angie's list. Very responsive. We had a bathroom sink that was not draining and a shower head that was leaking. They also checked our 10 year old heat water heater and reported that it was working fine and had been well installed. The guys were right on time and very polite and cleaned up the work areas. Very happy. Will use again. Price $100 - $15 Angie First time customer = $85.

I had Pawlak to come out and install a water heater in a home that I rent out. They were very willing to work with me and my schedule. They came out on the day that I said on time when I said. They put the new one in and took the old one away. They made sure to clean up after themselves. I thought that the price was just what they quoted me. It was very hassle free.

They are licensed professionals and their quality of work was exceptional. I really did a thorough search before I chose to go with them, and their price was fair.

Easy to make appt, showed up on time, courteous, professional, quick, billed and done!

They cleaned up after themselves and we were satisfied with the price. They were able to come right away because it was an emergency and on a holiday.

The job went well. They showed up at the time they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. I was satisfied with their work.

Source of water leak identified quickly. Fix required no new replacement parts. Water leak stopped.

The drain in my basement floor was backing up on occasion. When it started to happen more frequently, I called Pawlak Plumbing because I had used them for previous plumbing work. Since it wasn't an emergency, I had to wait two days (which was fine). I was told that someone would be by in the morning but the plumbers didn't actually show up until about 12:00. The two guys that came were very nice and got right to work. I was impressed with how quickly they figured out where the backup was occurring. Within a half hour they had the drain snaked and were on their way. A few days later I got a postcard in the mail from a different plumbing company that said they charged $75-85 for drain cleaning; then I wished I hadn't paid $125 to get my drain cleaned.

I can't say whether Pawlak plumbing was on time or not, because they never gave me a specific time. I can say that when I made the original appt they told me "late morning/early afternoon" and accordingly, I expected them to arrive somewhere between 11:30 and 12:30. They did not arrive until 1:15 or so. So take that as you will...I prefer set appt times but understand that some professionals need flexibility in their schedule. I guess what bothers me about that is that when the plumber did arrive, I told him what I had scheduled him for; a storm conductor pipe evaluation and videoscope of the sewer lines. He said he was unaware of the storm conductor pipe evaluation and would only be able to get to that if he had time. (Isn't that why they don't give specific appt times? So they can allow for extra time on jobs?) He set out to perform the videoscope first. Locating the housetrap took a bit longer than I would have expected for a plumbing specialist, my realtor had to identify it for him. He set to work on getting the camera in there, but found that the configuration of the plumbing system was not functional and therefore he could not get the camera in the sewer lines. He advised me that the basement bathroom would have to be remodeled and the plumbing system re-configured before he could complete the inspection (and also that if he were me, he would not buy this house until the seller completed that work AND until we had the videoscope inspection completed...he said the seller should pay for it the next time). He did not perform the storm conductor pipe evaluation, but it was a moot point because I had every intention of walking away from the deal after what they found. I was charged $125 which is the hourly rate for videoscope, even though they had not been able to do the job. I felt maybe I should have been charged less than the full rate, but was happy to pay anyway because the inspection had saved me a lot of potential future misfortune (in this sense, I feel I got more than my money's worth)! Even though there were things that I didn't like about the company's way of doing things (scheduling issues with time and requirements, charging me the full rate for uncompleted work, etc.) I really did like the plumber, Justin, as he was personable and not afraid to be forthright with me about the situation. I also believe that had they been able to complete the videoscope inspection, it would have been quality and thorough work.

They picked up replacement toilet I wanted and arrived at the scheduled time. Unexpected problems increased installation time. Work was high quality and done in professional manner. Does not accept credit cards. (The $190.00 above was for labor and does not include price of toilet and seat.)

I called the company and Tim Pawlak returned my call the same day. I explained that we had a leak from the pipe under the laundry tubs. We scheduled for his workers to come to my home in a few days. His two workers came when scheduled and completed the job in 1/2 hour in a professional, courteous manner. They refashioned the old pipe and the drains in the tub are now working better than before and there is no leak.

I had originally contacted this company because they were listed as performing work involving french drains and/or sump pumps, but it turned out they do not do that type of work, so I asked them to replace very old valves that I could not turn. They replaced them with levers which will be easier to use.

The plumber was knowledgeable and helpful. He explained what would be tested and what didn't need to be.

They showed up on time, got the work done quickly and didn't charge an arm and a leg

After they repaired it the first time tthe toilet still leaked. They came back out & the second time they set it crooked, angled to the wall behind it. They came back out a 3rd time and fixed it correctly. They were nice and prompt about coming back out and didn't charge me any more but it was an inconvenience to have to find time off work to be at home 3 times on a weekday.

Was able to schedule the work quickly. Arrived on time. Completed work within one day and actually finished a bit early.

We have ceremic sewer pipes under our basement & were told that we should snake it every so often. The did come & do that, but told me after the job was complete that we could have had several lines snaked for the price, because they charge the same price for that job whether it is 15 mins (which it was) or an hour. I was disappointed that they didn't say that initially, as I would have had another pipe done. The guys were nice & definetly knew what they were doing.

They were here promptly. They worked neatly and quickly.

Contacted Tim to arrange to have the broken faucet fixed. No estimate was provided at this time. He was booked up, so it took two days to get someone to come out. It was not an emergency, so that was fine. The two gents who showed up were very professional and cordial and they diagnosed and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. They had the necessary parts on hand. Unfortunately, they didn't give me an idea of what the cost would be at this point either, saying that they 'didn't handle the money' and indicating that Tim would bill me. I finally received the bill in the mail a week later. Based on what was done I felt the price was fair, but I wouldn't say "outstanding." If they had quoted me this price on the phone I might have shopped around. If they had quoted me this price on site I probably would have just told them to go ahead and fix it, since they were there. Overall I'm happy.

Excellent! Exceeded our expectations based on past experiences with other companies. The service man was friendly and patient in explaining everything. Work was done efficiently and everything was cleaned up. We have referenced Pawlak Plumbing to neighbors and would definitely use them again! The coupon was a nice plus.

We had a strong odor of sewer gas coming from our basement and called Pawlak Plumbing very early in the morning, before office hours began, for a service call. The owner called back about 1/2 hour later and gave us some suggestions to cure the problem and if it didn't work within an hour to call him back and he would be to our house that morning. His suggestions worked. I truly appreciated his return call so promptly and the fact that he took the time to explain how I could easily solve this for no cost. So many others would have simply charged me for the service call knowing I could have resolved this myself. I will call this company again for plumbing work.

Excellent work. Before, there was a maze of copper pipe supplying all the items listed above. Instead of just replacing the existing pipe layout, they redesigned the layout and we ended up with a much neater design - fewer pipes, all joints at right angles, much more appealing to the eye. The work was done efficiently and professionally.

They get back to me right away. They show up when they say they will. They are very neat. Mark is terrific and very thorough. If they are running late they will actually call you.

They came out quickly. There were two workers, they did the job quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this company to other people and use them again myself.

They gave me a time estimate and a price estimate but they were actually much faster than their estimate. They were very efficient, cleaned up perfectly, and were professional throughout. I highly recommend them.
