The person who came was very professional, helpful and answered my questions and inspected my garbage disposal and made good recommendations to avoid problems. Luckily, it was a minor usage problem and not something that needed major work! I'd use them again.

Tim's employees were great. They answered our questions and made solid recommendations when needed. They were punctual and polite the entire 4 days they worked on the bathroom.

I am very pleased with the result. Mark knew exactlly what to do to remedy the problem and he did it in a timely manner. He was very curteous and professional. It was, however, necessary to call him back because a leak occurred, but it was because of a defective part. He replaced it and the problem was solved. I would definitely call Pawlak again for any of my plumbling needs.

Overall very goood experience. Arrived when scheduled, total time on job was around one hour. This included disconnecting and removal of existing water heater and connecting new water heater. Quality installation, no problems with connections or water heater. Price including installation very reasonable. Only issues were communication related,and I probably needed to ask more questions. We did not know any details (make, model, warranty, etc.) other than size of the water heater before it arrived. I was asked my present water heater size, and if the same size was what I wanted. No options were given in that size. Also, pricing was not discussed until bill was delivered a few days after installation, but it was right in-line with what others noted on Angie's List. I was, however, pleased with the water heater that was delivered, and as I mentioned, the price was very reasonable.

I had used Pawlak Plumbing before with very good service and results, so I phoned them about the sinks in my basement. They scheduled an appointment around my schedule and the plumber arrived promptly. He fixed the problem with the utility sink drain and suggested ways to prevent the problem from re-occurring. The other sink wasn't backing up at that moment, but he checked out the situation thoroughly. I liked that the plumber explained what he was doing and why. He explained what I should expect in charges. He was professional and friendly. This is the third time I'm used Pawlak for large and small jobs. I recommend them highly. They are honest, professional, and perform quality service.

I called on a Tuesday and they came that Thursday. Came the exact time as scheduled and called first. They brought two plumbers and were out the door in 30 minutes 4 stars to this company. I would recommend them anytime. Very professional and quick!!

There doesn't seem to be any guesswork. There's always two gentlemen that come to the house. They are very, very professional, very friendly, courteous. What I think is going to be a very involved job turns out to be a half hour. They don't push anything on you. They're happy to suggest things to you. This is the third time I've used them and I just had to say they are just fabulous.

When I set up the appointment with Pawlak Plumbing, they said they would arrive in the afternoon. The plumber arrived at 11am. Fortunately I was home and available at that time. We started with the outdoor faucet, where I explained that no matter what hose I put on the faucet, it leaked. The plumber told me that it was just a bad hose washer and I should just replace it myself since they cost $0.10. I had to tell him that I had tried several hoses and they all leaked on this faucet and didn't leak on other faucets before he looked. Once he looked at it he determined that the threads were damaged and that was the cause of the leak. He was able to replace the faucet without any trouble. After that we went inside to the upstairs bathroom. I explained that when the toilet flushed, it filled with water and then drained slowly but didn't remove any of the waste. The plumber said that he thought it was probably a problem with the vent stack on the roof and he wasn't allowed to go on the roof. I asked if that would affect the other toilets in the house and he said it would. I explained that the other toilets were fine. Then he saw a box of wet wipes in the trash and asked if we flushed those. I said that I didn't think so but someone in the house might have. At this point the plumber said that he was sure a wipe was stuck inside the toilet and we'd need to replace the toilet. He suggested that I could replace it myself or buy the toilet at Home Depot and have them replace it. I didn't get the feeling that he was trying to upsell me, but I did think that he didn't know what was wrong with the toilet and was jumping to conclusions too quickly. We moved on to the shower drain which was draining slowly. I explained that it wasn't a problem every day, but every few days it would back up and we'd end up with water up to our ankles by the end of the shower, even if the drain was free of hair. He turned on the water and watched it drain and then explained that it looked good and I should be happy that it works as well as it does because his shower at home is worse. I pushed him to keep going so he took apart the drain assembly and cleaned some of the soap/shampoo residue off of it but wasn't able to fix the problem. Finally he looked at the cold water supply line to the sink which was leaking. He immediately said that the problem was that the packing nut was too loose. He wanted to show me how to tighten it but found that it was already as tight as it would go (something I already knew). After some struggle he was able to get the valve unscrewed and replaced it quickly. The plumber from Pawlak was very friendly and he did fix 2 of the 4 problems I asked him to fix. The fact that he was constantly jumping to conclusions was very frustrating and slowed the entire process down a lot. I would use Pawlak again, but would probably ask for a different plumber to be sent.

Excellent experience. Called them on a Wednesday 9th and set an appointment for the following day. Mark, the employee that came for the call, called me as he was leaving another job so I could leave work and meet him at the house. He arrived on time and began working immediately. Explained what he was doing the entire time and answered any questions I had. Bathtub was draining slow and needed snaked. Also replaced some fixtures in the tub, one of which was the cause of a small leak that damaged the kitchen ceiling which is directly below the tub. While there he also connected a line to the ice maker on a refrigerator. Highly recommended.

Workers were extremely professional, polite, prompt and efficient. They kept me informed as they went along and cleaned up after the work was complete. No compliants/no issues, will definitely use again!

Good experience. I discovered the plumbing problem on the weekend and needed to get it fixed ASAP. One of the employees came out on a Saturday, gave me an estimate, and promised to have a couple people out to fix it on Monday. Monday, they were here right on time and were working literally seconds after coming in the door. They wasted no time and did exactly what they said they'd do. I would definitely use them again.

I used this company last year. They put new valves on water faucets in the basement. Because they were so prompt and professional on that job, I called them again for this most recent plumbing problem. Once again, they came out right away, were courteous, and did their job in a clean and efficient manner. I would never hesitate to use them or recommend them to others, which I have.

Scheduling the work was easy. No issues with payment methods. The plumber was friendly and efficient. I recevied bill in the mail within a couple of days. No surprises. Overall a very good experience.

I called Pawlak Plumbing in the evening for help with water in my basement - it looked like water that was being drained from the washing machine while it was in use was coming up through the basement floor drain. I left a message and requested someone come out the next day. Tim Pawlak called me first thing the next morning, and a plumber was at my house by 11 am. Mark the plumber was great - very knowledgeable about old houses like mine. He showed me where my clean out was located (and explained what it was). He vacuumed up the remaining water with a wet vac and unclogged the floor drain with a large machine. He told us how to further clean the area so that mold would not grow. My father, who is a retired machinist of 40 years, was very impressed with Mark's knowledge and job performance.

They were prompt and professional. They did a great job fixing the leaks and used a soap solution to show me that the leaks were indeed fixed. Running the gas line to the upstairs fireplace wasn't straightforward, and they discussed several options with me. I am very happy with what was ultimately decided and how it was installed. My only complaint was that the second gas line to the basement fireplace was not installed where my husband had marked the wall. It was installed a few inches over, which means we can't center the fireplace on the wall without showing the line in the wall. I didn't notice this until after they left, so maybe there was a good reason for why they did that. My husband was really annoyed, so that is why I gave them a B. Otherwise, they were very competent and professional and did good quality work.

The gentleman were on time and professional. The job was done within the time they stated it would be at the price that was quoted. They went above and beyond my expectations.

The technician was very careful to change shoes upon entering, and got to work right away. He was very polite and was happy to explain what he was doing. The job went very well and we were extremely satisfied with our experience.

Phoned the day before and the person showed up on time. He took his time cleaning the burners for the furnace as they were really dirty. I asked about the occasional smell of gas and he assured me we didn't have any leaks. With three gas appliances in one small space [dryer, furnace and water heater], we would always get a slight smell of gas at times.

They did a good job and did not take long to complete. Their pricing was reasonable. They were a little less professional and left some mess in my front yard.

The tub was leaking through the floor and into the ceiling below so it was somewhat critical. Called and set up an appointment - they came when they said they would and were able to fix it on the same visit. We live in an older home which has weird plumbing and they had the parts they needed. Plus they give a discount for first-time Angie's List clients. Highly recommended.
