Paul ad his wife were very responsive, calling and setting up an appointment to come to the house within less than a week. They were efficient, courteous and and knowledgeable. They gave me an estimate of the work, took the works and or clocks with them,and gave me an anticipated time to completion . They finished before the anticipated date, and were again prompt in bringing them back fan hanging them. The clocks all were fixed and I'm now enjoying them once again. They were very helpful in explaining how to operate the clocks and future needs. I was pleased to have found someone to trust with some heirloom clocks and would use again.

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon in Europe, and while we were there, we purchased a brand new cuckoo clock in Munich, which was shipped to us here in the U.S. We got it, and of course, it wasn't working, and a piece of the decoration had been broken off during transit (who knew?!). So, after looking on the list here for a good clock repair man, we found Paul! I called and spoke with his wife, Judy, and she told me to bring it in the next day and drop it off with her daughter. I did so, and after a day and a half, his daughter called me up and said it was all ready to go! The piece of decoration had been glued back on (can't even tell it was ever broken), and apparently during shipping the dancer chain had come off of the gears and wrapped itself around other gears inside of the clock. Of course, this was rectified by Paul, and upon my picking up of the clock, his very nice and informative daughter gave me a 30 minute lesson (or so) on how to hang the clock, change the time, wind the weights, and transport it so that the chains wouldn't come off of the gears again in the future. Best customer experience I've ever had, very fair price, and amazing quickness on the fix! Now I just need to find a mechanic like Paul and his family!

We had two old music boxes that we diagnosed as being overwound. I droped the boxes off on Thursday and by Saturday Paul had taken them apart and found the problems. One needed a part that was no longer available and the other just needed oiled. Neither were overwound. Paul gave us some tips on locating the obsolete piece. I was surprised that there was no charge. He said he really didn't do anything but oil the spring. The box works perfectly now. This is a sign of someone you can trust. I recommend Paul

He was good. He came right out when he said he was going to be there and he did what he was going to do. It worked out well. He was punctual, very knowledgeable and fast.

This was a great experience. I have had cuckoo clocks repaired and or cleaned in the past at a much higher price and that took a lot longer to be returned to me. This company had my clocks returned repaired within 2 weeks and they are working great. They gave me a lot of great information on my clocks and also on a 3rd clock that they looked at at no charge. My sister also used this service for her grandfather clock and is very happy with the results. She said this was the first time her grandfather clock has kept good time since she got it. I would definitely used Paul's Clock Repair in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

An excellent service provider. Called to make an appointment to have my clock repaired. Dropped the clock off for service and it was ready 2 weeks later. When I went to pick it up the work done was explained and I was given detailed instructions on how to properly wind the clock and care for it at home. I was told to call if there were any problems as the repair work was guaranteed. I would highly recommend this service provider.

I was given an appointment for two days after my call. They arrived at my house exactly when they said they would and serviced my clock. They were very friendly and Paul took time to explain the operation of my clock and an additional clock we had just purchased.

I have used Paul’s Clock Repair for over 10 years. They are excellent and are the most knowledge people in the city. They are honest, fair and they are very professional.

I called many places both in Pittsburgh and out of town. No repair people could help me. I was interested in fixing a very slow music box and getting a decorative figure on the box reglued. Paul said there were no guarantees but he was willing to take a look at it. We brought the music box to his office and one week later the music box was fixed. I was so pleased. The music had been speeded up, the music apparatus had been completly cleaned and oiled, and the lovely figure had been repaired. We can now give this music box to my grandson for the next generation to enjoy.

To my dismay, while winding a cuckoo clock I had bought while in Germany, it fell off the wall and many pieces broke off. I wasn't sure what mechanical damage may have been done. Also, a grandfather clock I have chimed in an off-key manner and sometimes had a double strike. I arranged for a home visit by speaking with Paul's daughter. Paul and his wife arrived promptly on the scheduled day, and called the day before to confirm and again to let me know they were on the way. Paul worked on the grandfather clock, making it sound better. However a few days later it would not run continuously, and after talking to him it needed to go into their shop. He brought back the cuckoo clock in a few weeks, after it was repaired, and to my delight it looks like new! It works perfectly. Paul explained proper winding and care of the clock. When he brought the cuckoo clock back, he took out the movement from the grandfather clock, to take back to the shop. Yesterday, he brought it back and installed it in the clock case. Paul spent time making sure everything was working properly and aligned, even leveling the clock. He made sure I was happy with how it sounded. He also reviewed how to properly wind it with the weights, and how to change the time. I'm very pleased with my clock repairs and recommend Paul's Clock Repair highly!

The clock hasn't worked for about 9 months. The clock is 10 yrs old. Didnt realize it needed to be checked about every 4-5 years. Paul came over to check it out. He oiled everything and got it working. He exolained to me how to set the time and adjust the pendulem to keep correct time. Not 10 minutes after he left the clock stopped again. I called and explained to Lisa what was going on. A few minutes later Paul called and told me tovtry restarting it. He really believed that it would work. And it did and still does! Paul called back at lease 2 more times to make sure it was working! I would absolutely call Paul again! Hard to find anyone who goes out of their way to make you happy.

When I moved across the country the movers had damaged my clock. Paul's took the entire clock out of it's casing and took it to their shop for a cleaning, calibration and repairs. I was very happy with the service and when the clock has any slight issues, I call them and they guide me right over the phone to correct it. They have also offered to take care of the clock during my upcoming move.

Our grandfather clock which we had never had serviced in 35 years, stopped running. It turns out you need to clean and re-oil them periodically. Paul and his helper came to our house and cleaned and oiled the clock. He also educated us on exactly how to take care of the clock and how to adjust the pendulum weight so that it would keep better time. (all these years we could have had a more accurate clock if only we'd known.) Paul is very friendly and professional and we are 100% satisfied with the service.

Took cuckoo clock to providers home/workshop. Left clock to be serviced/repaired. Paul called a week later(Thanksgiving week)said clock needed new mechanism and chains. Sent money for repairs. Picked clock up when clock repair completed. Paul and family very nice and cuckoo clock knowledgable. I learned a thing or two about these clocks even tho I've owned this clock for over 25 years!

I had called Paul's Clock Repair after seeing his ad in Angie's List magazine. I spoke with his daughter, Lisa, and she explained what may be involved in repairing the clock, and exactly how much it would cost, and how long the repairs may take. Also, if there were any parts that would be needed, she would call me first to make sure I wished to proceed. I took the clock to their place of business, and left it on November 12. I was told that Paul liked to repair a clock and then let it sit around to make sure that it kept good time and worked properly. They have a one year guarantee on their work, and he likes to make sure that the clock is working properly before sending it home. Lisa told me it would be about 2 weeks or so. On November 25, I received a call that the clock was ready - exactly 2 weeks later. But with the Thanksgiving holiday, I waited until the next week (December 3) to pick up the clock. It is sitting on my mantel, keeping perfect time, and sounding heavenly. I highly recommend Paul's Clock Repair. I am extremely pleased with the repair, and with the service. Lisa is a veritable fountain of information about clocks. Please note that they are closed on Monday.

they had the clock for several weeks, as we agreed. it was ready in the time frame we agreed on and it is fully functioning. we are so pleased with the results. Clock repair is a very precise and intricate business, and i am glad that some one still does it. It is wonderful to have my dad's clock sitting proudly on the mantle and working as it should. Lisa handles the business end and explains in detail how these clocks work and how they are repaired. She was great and we enjoyed meeting her.

They came out to do a repair and cleaning and found that the clock could not be repaired in the home. They removed the inside of the clock and took it to the shop. They also saw another clock that was not working, and volunteered to repair it. The service was very personalized and excellent. Both clocks are working well.

I phoned Paul's Clock Repair and left a message on the voicemail about what I needed. Within a few hours they phoned back, we had a brief conversation about what I needed, what the cost might be and how long it would be before we could have the work done. They were very reasonably priced for the work, had a good amount of availability to do the work in a timely fashion, and were courteous and nice to talk with. We set a date, they showed up when scheduled, and actually were able to accomodate my unexpected scheduling adjustment, performed the work promptly and all in all did a great job.

Could not have been better! Estimate and final cost were the same. Turnover on the repair was fast - two weeks and they fully explained what was down and how to correctly put the clock back into service. I gave them an additional antique clock to repair and once that has been completed I expect to give them another one. Without a doubt this has been my best experience with a clock repair.

Dropped the cloc off, repairs were complete in time frame , clock works great. Paul's daughter was very knowledgable on clocks too. She explained how the clock works and what may be wrong. When I picked up the clock she review proper winding and functions. Clock is working well.

After relocating our grandfather clock no longer kept proper time or chimed. Paul's Clock Repair came to my home, assessed the need and explained the service needed. They removed the workings from the housing and took it back to their business and made the necessary repairs in a most timely fashion. When done an appointment was scheduled to reassemble the clock. The clock was reassembled about 1 week ago and my grandfather clock has been keeping perfect time and chiming the hour, quarter hour and half hour, etc. perfectly. They were very easy to work with and explained the process perfectly. I recommend them highly and wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

Great job of getting clock running again after it had stopped. This clock is a wedding gift to me and my wife 41 years ago from my parents, now deceased, and it had never had a problem before. Paul oiled and cleaned it and it keeps perfect time once again. He even gave me a reprint of an article about how the clock works, as it requires no winding or battery, running on the changes in atmospheric temperature, appearing to be a perpetual motion clock. Fixing these clocks is a rare skill and therefore expensive, but it was worth it to me. When I told him I found him on Angie's List, he said he will cover the sales tax, which saved me around $19.00.
