Description of Work: I called with a question on the possibility of repairing an old mantle clock. He was helpful but pressed for time.

Description of Work: They did a tune-up on a grandfather clock in my home. Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Will use them again.

Description of Work: The wooden piece was not reattached. The hour hand still dangles. They supposedly cleaned the works, but judging from all the dust on the inside of the case, I don't think they did anything.

Description of Work: Took my antique mantel clock in. Needed major work including new chime bars and a good cleanup. They did everything necessary and stuck to their original quote even though they found additional work that needed to be performed. They also provided a 1 year guarantee which I had to use a month later for something that had been unforeseen earlier. They were very kind about the new repair and did not charge for the work. Their service, kindness and honesty are something seldom seen these days. I will continue to use Paul's for all of my clock repair and highly recommend them to others.

Description of Work: They cleaned my grandfather clock that is over a hundred years old. They weren't able to fix it in my home and told me, up front, they might not be able to do so. Very professional and will let them take the timing mechanism to their place of business once I save up enough for that repair. I knew this could possibly be an expensive repair and am happy to find someone whose expertise I can trust.

Description of Work: Paul and his wife were excellent! Because we were moving, our grandfather's clock and wall clock had to be disassembled and then set up in our new house. They also refurbished our 100 year old bim-bam mantel clock. All 3 clocks work beautifully and keep excellent time!

The time and care they took to assess and fix our family heirloom was priceless. Paul explained everything and treated the clock like it was his own. Any one who owns an old clock knows that it is a part of the family and Paul and his wife really appreciated our clocks significance to us. Thanks to them, our clock has its heartbeat back.

Description of Work: My wall clock was not performing as I thought it should. I had to wind it every day in order for the chimes to work. When I first got the clock I would only have to wind it once a week. I called Paul's clock repair and they suggested that it most likely just needed cleaning. I took it to them, they said that if anything else needed done they would call me. They thought that extra work would be highly unlikely. They called me when the service was done. Just the cleaning and oil. I bought it home and it was not much better. I thought I'd give it some time, got involved in other things. I stopped winding it and using it. I called Paul's Clock Repair several months later and was told that some clocks needed to be wound several times a week. Finally I call the manufacturer. They told me that I was not winding it tight enough. That I should wind it till I could not wind and further. They said I could not over-wind. Since following the manufacturer's advice the clock is working as it should. I am not sure if Paul's Clock Repair could have told me of this. I'm sure that the cleaning did not hurt, but not sure if it was needed.
