Pat was very responsive, showed up on time and was very courteous. He re-stretched carpet in 3-bedrooms. He did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. I would hire Pat again without hesitation.

Carpet was pretty badly bunched up in two rooms. Pat came and stretched the carpet in both rooms. Would use him again anytime I need something done with my carpets.

The bubbling and lifting of her carpet started only about a year after it was installed. My mother-in-law called Empire to have the carpet serviced. The man who came charged her $100 before he would even do anything, then told her he couldn't do much unless her furniture was cleared out of the room. He refused to move anything himself. He just pulled on the carpet in the bubbled area a bit, then left with her $100. The lifting problem got even worse. We were concerned that she would trip on the raised carpet and fall, so we stepped in and found Pat D'Ambrosio on Angie's list. My husband contacted Pat. Pat immediately returned the call and we made arrangements for him to repair her carpet the following week. He arrived on time, despite terrible snowy weather and ice that morning. I was present in my mother-in-law's home the entire time Pat was there. Pat moved all the furniture out of my mother-in-law's living room, lifted the carpet edges all around the room and re-stretched the carpet with a power stretcher. He trimmed the excess carpet, then re-tacked it. He also worked for a long time on an area where the seam strip had been glued to the carpet backing. He said that was the reason the carpet had buckled so much in that area. This repair process was quite involved. After three hours, the carpet was smooth and taut and looked like it should have after the initial installation. My husband's mother then showed Pat where the same lifting problem was happening in her upstairs hallway (another part of the Empire Today's installation job). We didn't know about that, so he wasn't aware that repair was needed, as well. Regardless, Pat said he would also repair this carpet the same day, even though he had another job to go to after that. After discussion, my mother-in-law decided to purchase new master bedroom carpeting from Pat, and have him fix the hallway carpeting when he installs the new bedroom carpeting. As a widowed senior citizen, my husband's mother often feels that providers like Empire Today take advantage of her. Pat exhibited honesty, personal integrity, a strong work ethic, and professionalism. She was so happy that the job was finally done right. and that he didn't charge her a small fortune to fix it. When Pat finishes at my mother-in-law's home, we plan to contract with him to replace some bedroom carpeting in our own home. We highly recommend Pat D'Ambrosio.

I called Pat due to the Angie's List reviews that his work was excellent. After leaving a message, he returned my call quickly and set up a time to come out; he could have come out much sooner but I wasn't available. He could see the problem right away and explained what needed to be done and why the problem had occurred in the first place. He worked quickly and the finished product was great. He mentioned that I will probably start seeing bubbles in the bedrooms in the summer because of how the original installer did the work. But he said not to get anything done until those bubbles started to show up. His price was extremely reasonable to do the work. I will definitely use him again once I see any other problems with my carpeting.

Pat arrived on time and proceeded to work, moving furniture to ensure all the carpet was stretched. It was necessary to seam some joints which he did so that the seam is invisible. It was an all day job but Pat worked consistently, other than taking a lunch break, of course, until it was done. The whole job took from about 10 am to 6 pm. I am pleased with the results and would highly recommend Pat.

Pat is a great worker. He arrived as scheduled to give us an estimate, searched to find the carpet we wanted when he learned his regular distributor was out of stock, and called as soon as he got word the carpet was in (several days ahead of schedule.) The installation was scheduled for the very next day. He showed up on time and got right to work removing the old carpet which he cut into pieces and carried out to the curb for our trash pick-up. He worked to re-secure some of the boards of the porch and repositioned several of them to get rid of the "squeaks" we had experienced. He then laid the carpet which had to be cut around several railing posts and did an excellent job. There was a remnant left, which he squared off for us to use as a runner. And he removed all the trash, etc. that resulted from the job. Our porch looks great. I am reluctant to post the cost above, but he definitely undercharged, based the prices we got for the same job from Moleneaux and Rusmer Floors!

Returned our call within 24 hours. Made an appointment for later in the week. On time -- very professional -- and very neat.

Pat came to our house first to assess the job and provide an estimate. Our hallway is very long with at least a dozen bad, highly raised wrinkles. Because they were so bad, I was concerned about my elderly mother tripping on them. Pat pointed out the difficulty of stretching it since the carpet is cut to fit several doorways along the hall as well as some perpendicular walls. I did have some extra carpet available for the installation for him to use. When I showed him the wrinkles I needed stretched out in the Master bedroom, he pointed out additional ones I had not even noticed. Pat came on the date specified and did a great job. Bedroom has no sign on the wrinkles. There are slight lines in the hallway (not raised wrinkles), but I am sure it is because they had been raised up for so long, but they are hardly noticeable and he did an excellent job considering how very bad it was and six door cutouts to deal with. The hallway carpet is now flat and safe and looks so much better. I am very please with Pat and would use his services again.

Our male dog had some accidents on one area of the dining room rug last year, and would go there every now and then if we didn't get him outside quick enough. We got the carpet cleaned, but that eventually didn't work as the and quot;accidentand quot; was down to the carpet pad. We tried doing spot cleaning, etc., but after awhile the smell would come back, especially if the furnace was on as the heat made the smell more pronounced. We decided to have that section of the carpet pad replaced. Pat was scheduled to come at 9 a.m. - and he was exactly on time - WOW! We showed him the area that needed done. We had the furniture moved that was in the way, but he had to move it a bit more in order to get the carpet out of the way. He got the carpet pad cut where it was stained, and we also found out the floor got discolored from the and quot;accidentand quot;. I was able to clean the floor a bit, just to get the smell out, and also put baking powder in the area to get rid of any other odors. Pat got the pad installed, carpet back in place, and also moved the furniture back where it belonged. Everything went smoothly with no problems. We are pleased with what he did. We were able to find the original carpet and pad installation order so that he could duplicate the type of padding we had. The price was reasonable for the work that he did. He was very professional and we will use him again if needed.

We just had wooed flooring installed and the carpet to one room needed to be reseated. It was a small job but Pat was able to make fit it in his schedule the same day. The transition from the carpet to the wood flooring looks wonderful. The job was neatly done and we are very pleased with the work and how quickly Pat was able to respond.

Pat was fantastic. He was polite, punctual and very professional. He attended to every detail from start to finish. A great person to add to your list of references.

Great! He said they'd be here around 10, actually got here at 9:55. Thought they'd be done around 3, actually finished at 3:20. The room looks great, they cleaned up after themselves and they put a leftover half-roll of carpet pad where I wanted it so I could use it in the future.

Pat was great to work with. He gave me a price over the phone. He kept in contact with me all week until there was a good day weather wise. The morning we spoke he arrived on time and was very professional. He did an EXCELLENT job, the front porch looks wonderful. He cleaned up before leaving. I would highly recommend him!

In a single word: PRECISION! Several carpet installers told me that splicing Berber carpet was difficult and labor intensive, and they were not interested in doing the job. I wanted this particular group of remnants put together for the closet because they matched the carpet used in our hallways. (Who wants an oddball piece of carpet that doesn't match anything else in our home even if it is just in a closet?) Mr. Ambrosio visited, provided a fair price, and performed the job flawlessly. It was labor intensive and took a while to complete. When finished, I looked at the results, was pleased and paid Mr. Ambrosio. Shook hands and said and quot;Goodbye.and quot; This evening I vacuumed a few carpet thread fuzzies, looked at the workmanship more closely... trying to find the five seams in the newly-installed carpet and could not find any visible seams. You have to know me to appreciate what follows. I am an extremely detail-oriented person on everything. Yes, everything! I crawled around that six foot by six foot carpeted floor looking for the seams... for twenty minutes. (Sorry, but that's how I am sometimes.) This gentleman is an artist, craftsman, magician, precision carpet installer... the descriptions could go on forever. I am so happy that Mr. Ambrosio is on Angie's List. Call him. You will be happy too. PRECISION is the word.

Pat did an excellent job. He also noticed some loose carpeting on the stairs and fixed that even though it wasn't part of the scheduled work. Carpet still looks great and it's been a few months.

Pat did a great job stretching our carpets! He got out all the bumps and ripples, was very professional, and charged a very reasonable price.

I called Pat to repair wrinkled areas of relatively new carpet in my living room, dining room and hallway. He was very friendly, efficient and respectful of my home and furniture and went above and beyond to make sure that my carpet was re-installed / re--stretched correctly. Something the original installers failed to do. He ended up having to move just about every piece of furniture in each room and even fixed the stairs in addition to the other areas. All in order to make sure the job was done "right". For almost a whole day's worth of work, I found his price to be very reasonable. The next time I'm in need of new carpeting I will be calling Pat first.

Pat was AWESOME! He came out within a week and took care of my issues. He really knows a ton about carpet. I was able to learn from him while he was here. He also was able to get rid of the ripples in the hallway and bedroom. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is very reasonable as well with price. I will plan on having him install all my carpet for my next home.

He was very polite and prompt. He did great work. It was a small job and he was very pleasant to work with and I would recommend him.

Pat is master of carpet installation and repair. I will never, ever use anyone other than Pat for any type of carpet installation again. The contractor we hired to fininsh our basement did a terrible job installing the carpet, including using glue-down installation instead of the usual tack strips and did a horrible job with the seams. In fact there was an obvious and extremely rough seam going along the length of the floor. Honestly we thought we would have to replace the entire carpet. We remembered hoe great a job Pat had done with installing our stair runner, so we decided to give him a call to get his opinion. Anyway, long story short, he fixed it in 3 hours and you can't see a seam even with a microscope. Pat is a magician with carpet and if you're reading this you would be crazy to use anyone else. Don not hesistate to use Pat for carpet repair or installation. He is by far the best around. Like I wrote above, I'll never use anyone else for my carpets! PS I wrote $300 for the cost of service but I'm not sure if that's accurate. Regarding price Pat is very reasonable, especially considering that you're paying for the master. Both times he did work for us I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable his price was. He's just an honest guy who does honest work. Don't hesitate to call him!

We called Pat on Tuesday night and had him in our house Thursday morning. We are extremely pleased with Pat and his work...everything from his professionalism, manner, to his overall work. He had a great attention to detail and didn't complete the job until it exceeded expectation. We plan on using Pat again for the future and recommend his services to anyone.
