P & W Construction Inc.

We are modifying a pole building that was on the property we purchased to be a horse barn. Doing the work ourselves, we encountered a planning issue that required modifying the spacing of the posts in the existing structure. We had some ideas of methods, but we wanted an outsider opinion from someone with more expertise. I actually contacted a structural engineering company first, but they said they don't have good experiences with pole buildings and recommended I contact a contractor who has expertise in pole buildings. I called P&W Construction and left a message on 11/18/13. My call was returned late afternoon 11/19/13. The guy listened to my description of our issue, asked questions in order to make sure he fully understood, and was able to make a recommendation over the phone. His recommendation agreed with the plan we had already devised, so we feel more confident continuing with the alteration. It was only a 15 minute phone call, and we were not asking him to sign off on the structural stability of the building. It was simply advice, and sometimes that is hard to come by with companies without them wanting to charge. I was even wondering if anyone would return my call considering my somewhat odd request for advice and therefore there probably wouldn't be much chance of them making money off of me. My brief encounter with this company would prompt me to return to them for any future project estimates we needed.
