Response from Oxymagic of Pittsburgh
We are both surprised and disappointed with this customer’s review of our services. When I arrived at her rental property, I met her husband there, and inspected the carpets. They were so extremely stained and damaged by his tenants that I strongly advised him not to have them cleaned. I told him he would be better off putting the money toward new carpets. I also told him that I could not assure how well they would come out, and I did not want to charge him for services where the results would be questionable. He originally agreed not to have the rugs cleaned but then changed his mind and asked me to "clean them the best you can.” I told him again that I could not assure the outcome of the work, and the carpet was in fact unserviceable. He again said he would deal with it and persisted in asking that I clean the carpets. I reluctantly agreed to go ahead and do the job, but first had him sign a waiver stating that due to pre-existing damage & heavy soil, there was “no assurance on the results.” I also took a few pictures of the carpet before attempting the cleaning. I cleaned and deodorized the carpets the best that I could, and spent a considerable amount of time on the stains. When I was finished with the job, her husband paid me and voiced no complaints. I later spoke briefly with the customer after the cleaning was complete. Unfortunately, she did not give me the opportunity to explain what transpired at the home. After she abruptly hung up the phone, I called her back and left a message. She has not returned my call. We at Oxymagic take pride in our work. We look forward to continuing to provide great service and value to our many current and future customers.
