Even though I wasn't sure if I would repair or replace 6 year old mower, they gave advice, did a simple check of the shaft to detect if any hazardous problem and gave advice and options to further fix the problem. They did this without an appointment and were truly concerned about my safety. Opted to replace the mower and possibly repair the broken one later.

Called and discussed services to repair a lawn mower. Was told there was a 3 week to have a repair done. Have tried to use this same business in the past and received the same message of being busy and a several week back up. Why not hire more people to fix the back log?

I called them up to see if they could take a look at my 2000 Craftsman mower. He (Joe) said to bring it in and he'd take a look at it. Drove down a half-hour later and Joe came out to greet me. After a quick inspection, turned out my mower just needed oil (which I had at home). I offered $20 dollars for his time but he wouldn't take it. I will definitely be going back in the future if I have any problems.

Despite a sign in the storefront window stating that they only service equipment they sell, North Hills Sales & Service agreed to look at & try to fix our push mower, after I tried to mow a rock. I forget the elderly gentleman's name, but he was very sweet, and I think he may like to paint - both when I dropped off the mower and picked it up he joked about it being red and made sure that I didn't want it painted. Back to service - they were able to fix it for us, had to order the part. All in all took about 2 weeks and it's worked well ever since. Only bummer was that we hadn't heard from them after I dropped it off whether they would/could fix it. My husband called and was told they hadn't looked at it yet; I dropped it off on a Friday and this was Tuesday. Husband was laid up due to surgery so he was worried the grass was going to grow too fast before we could get the mower back. As stated, only took 2 weeks from drop off, order part, and pick up. All of the service - labor & parts - came to about $45.00. That's less than some places charge for labor alone.

When I took my snow blower to North Hills Sales and Service, they greeted me immediately at the door and asked me about my issue. When I explained, he already had a pretty good idea of the problem and what would be involved. He helped me get the blower out of my car, and immediately saw some issues with it. Explained that the wheel hubs weren't in "travel-mode", and showed me how to switch them back and forth for travel, or for actually use. He also asked if I had a concrete or asphalt driveway - He noticed that the skids were for concrete and not asphalt, and said he would adjust those for me while he worked on it. This shop has been around since I was kid mowing lawns in the neighborhood. Everyone has taken there small engine repairs there for the last 20+ years. The Dad used to run it, and still does with his son. It is a "Mom & Pop" shop for sure! Nothing flashy - Just good old fantastic work, sealed with a hand shake! They take pride in their work, and live off of "word of mouth" - Which is why they have survived for ever, and is why I am giving them a shout out on Angie's. He told me my problem was most likely build up in the carburetor, and that he could have back to me in just under a week. (Mind you, this is a snow blower repair in the heart of winter - I was soooo happy to hear it would be just a week!) He quoted me a price, and that is what it came in at. Repairs included: Tune-up, Carb Kit and Gasket Kit, clean rest of carb parts, flushed oil and adjusted the skids. I will go there for all repairs to all my small engine and power tools in the future! Just good old fashioned work ethic and promises... What the world is lacking these days!

I have used North Hills through the years. It's a family owned business. He has been there for I don't know how long. And, I don't know how long he will be there. He is as old as I am. He is old school, and stands behind his work. What he tells you, you can take it to the bank.

They have been in business since the 60s. They give excellent service at good prices. They know how to repair any small lawn mower or small engine kind of gadgets. They are excellent. We will always use them. My father-in-law used them back in the 60s. They have been around for a long time.

They did excellent job. It is a locally owned business, with expertise and courteous service.

The person I delt with was named Joe. He was knowledgable, personable, pleasant, helpful, honest and fare among other things. There was no charge to evaluate the lawnmower. The price quoted was the price charged. The service was done on time and done well. Joe offered me good advice to avoid the same problem in the future. I would not hesitate to return with other needs or to recommend this company to others.

THE OWNER WAS VERY PUNCTUAL WITH RETURNING OUR PHONE CALLS. HE ALSO WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO FIND PARTS THAT HE DID NOT STOCK TO FIX THE GO-KART.
