Nichols Welding service

It went very well and he was very nice and professional with a fair price. Only time will tell how great his work is but when I left there I believe he done a great job.

My house has a grease trap in the basement floor. One of the bolts used to secure the lid broke from rust. You could see that it was previously welded in place and the welds deteriorated over time. (I have been in the house 12 years and this was the first occurrence that I know of) Joe Nichols brought his big welding rig on his truck and ran his cables from the front of my house to the back door of the basement. First he ground both the bolt and the stud in the ground to expose good metal. He then re-welded the bolt back into place. Joe went right to work and fixed the bolt in a short amount of time - less than an hour. There was more time setting up and tearing down than actually welding. He worked with me to put up cardboard and wet towels to protect the painted floor, wall, pipes, etc. from sparks. After he left the only evidence I saw that he was there was the bolt was back in place. He charged me his minimum charge which includes the road trip to the house and one hour of labor.

Nicholas was very helpful and easy to work with. He offered to make the repair the same day, while I waited no less. The welding was just what I needed and he even fixed another place that was cracked. Definitely would recommend him...

I called and talked to Kenny in the morning. He said if I could bring the chair over I could wait while he made the repairs. I arrived about an hour later. Showed Kenny the problem welds. He made the new welds and used a grinder to smooth out any rough spots in the welds. I was very pleased with the results.

I called Kenny with a description of the work that I needed- a welded repair to an ornamental steel fireplace grate. He said and quot;Bring it on over, maybe I can fix it while you wait.and quot; After looking over the grate, he said he could have it ready in two hours. He did an excellent job on the repair. He charged me $25.

He was great, took care of it while I waited, Went out of his way to check over the other welds to make sure that they were good. Great work and great service.

They were excellent, honest, and careful.

They came and inspected the job. They determined the best way to do the job was to burn holes in the steel header plate to get the I beam. The they jacked up the header against the I beam then they welded the I beam and the header plate together.
