 + -1 moreHe gave us an honest assessment of the cost of the repair vs the value of the clock so we could make a decision. The clock needed to be retuned after repair, and Neil picked it up, repaired it, and returned it to us at no charge. Very ethical and reliable provider.
Description of Work: Neil fixed a grandfather clock for us and also rebuilt a family clock.

 + -1 moreClock lost time just a few weeks after repair. . Several months later the clock stopped altogether. it seems the chains jammed into the mechanism and had have it repaired again. Called in another clock repairer and found that the guts of the clock had been reversed and caused the chains to lock into the mechanism. Clock could not be fixed in house and had to be removed . I do not know how the guts of the clock was reversed to jam chains into the mechanism since I have never had to have the clock repaired outside of the house before .. i never saw anyone unscrew the entire mechanism out of the body and I have owned this clock since 1973 and never had this problem before where it jammed up. I have no idea how this happened.

 + -1 moreNeil Rasnick got the clocks working really well. I think he was great, did a really thorough job and told me how to treat the clock after he was done with it. He taught me how to wind it and made sure that I do it correctly. He was wonderful.
