Description of Work: Trim 5 maples, remove 2 dead trees on upper yard

Description of Work: They took down three dead Ash trees so they cut them up and gave to my son for fire wood. They took away the debree as well.

Description of Work: The cut down 2 large wild cherry trees and 3 large hemlock trees in my back yard. They stumped all of the trees and removed the waste. This is the second time in 4 years I have used them and I am very pleased. They show up at the date and time they stated, worked safely, quickly and professionally.

Description of Work: Removed two trees damaged by snow. Agreed to come back in spring to remove stumps. Took quite a few phone calls to have this done. Overall did a good job was here when I needed them in Winter because trees had fallen in street.

Description of Work: Had 2 trees cut down and a lot of shrubs and smaller trees removed from our backyard, and had our front yard tree pruned some.

Description of Work: We've used Neighborhood Tree Service many times over the years. He's removed about 5-6 trees and pruned a couple. This month, he removed a tree and ground the stump and also ground a large stump from a previous tree. Not only is Jeff and his crew hard workers, Jeff is genuinely a nice guy. He's been a pleasure to work with.

Description of Work: Removal of 9 trees - 5 of which were 80+ foot pines and one of which was leaning on a residential structure and the other four large trees were in narrow confines surrounded by power lines and the residential structure at 602 Kirk. Equipment access was somewhat limited and significant climbing was necessary. All debris removed. Also removed of numerous small trees and nuisance trees from a border area at 2801 Custer. Cut and stacked wood in fireplace lengths for our disposition as requested. Jeff respond to the site on the day of our call, quoted a competitve price and had the job completed within 5 days of receiving our purchase order.

Description of Work: I used the service of Neighborhood Tree Service to trim my front maple tree about a month ago.

Description of Work: He was supposed to cut down an 80' tall tree that was hit by lightning, and was also supposed to get rid of the stump and roots.

Description of Work: He did not perform what I paid him to perform. We were told by Jeff, the owner, that the price over and above the quote for cutting down our oak tree would be $300. This was for grinding the tree stump and all apparent roots. He also told us and wrote on his proposal that all debris would be hauled away. We agreed to these terms of $1,500 for cutting down the tree and $300 for the removal of the debris and grinding the stump to ground level. The tree was cut down and the debris was piled upon the stump. I realized this when I went to plant perennials on the mound in our yard. It was 10" of debris over the above ground level stump and exposed roots. I immediately called Jeff early in October. He did not return my phone message. I tried again on October 17th. Again, he did not return my phone message. Then I called another company to come and remove the 10" of debris. Once it was removed it was apparent that the tree stump had hardly been ground at all and there still were above ground roots. The company which I called removed the debris which completely filled a pick up truck up to where the cab sits on the side panels. The workman who shoveled the debris and removed one root investigated the cost of renting a stump grinder. He was told that it would cost $90 for 4 hours plus $25 for the rental of a trailer to haul it. It would, of course, also cost us for his time and work.

Description of Work: I had called this company a series of times, probably seven or eight times. I continued to call them because they had already marked trees that were supposed to be taken down. I called a different number I had for them that Jeffery had written on the back of his business card. The call was answered - I'm not sure if this was a home phone or a cell phone. He apologized for not calling back and said he would come by to finalize things in the next three to four days. I stayed home those four days because I wanted to be home when he came he never showed up. I waited a total of two weeks for this man to show up and get the trees taken down and he never did. Very disappointing and I would not recommend using them. I'm getting my tree work done by someone else.

Description of Work: We got an estimate for the work in July, but were told that the best time to trim our trees would be in September. We called in September to schedule the work. It took a few tries to get hook up with Jeff on the phone, but he came back to look at the trees. They performed the work, bringing a bucket truck down our driveway and trimming two trees in our back yard. They did a good job trimming the trees away from our house and cutting the branches close to the ground. They also did a great job of cleaning up. They brought a chipper truck and took the tree branches right to the chipper to get rid of them. They also cleaned up the leaves and debris around the house and actually charged us $50 less than the estimate. We were very happy with the service.

Description of Work: The work was all around the house, but most importantly in the backyard, necessary to create enough sun to grow a new back lawn/garden, which was dying out due to 15 years of heavy tree growth. Cut down 1 small, 1 old/tall, and 4 med trees. Thinned 7 to 10 other small trees ringing the backyard. Intensively pruned and lightened a very old and very big (4-story) horse Chestnut (statuesque and central to our century home's street appearance). Pruned and thinned a tangled, thorny, 2-story ornamental Cherry/Hawthorn? Pruned 2 large Lilacs, and a Dogwood. Removed several scrubby and ailing prickly bushes. All stumps ground.

Description of Work: This contractor cut down one large tree to about half the stump and cut a few others all the way down and then ground the stumps. They took a half a day or so to complete the job and cleaned up all the wood and refuse and dumped it for us when they left.

Description of Work: N.T.S. came, gave us an estimate and removed the tree branches from our roof as well as taking the rest of the tree down because it was now unsafe. Their crew came in the late afternoon with a bucket truck, a huge chipper/shredder & stump grinder. One of the branches that was leaning on the tree fell just after Jeff had walked under it. It missed him by a hair. They had the broken branches & tree taken down, the surface roots and stump ground below surface level, and the yard & roof cleaned up in three hours. They were very professional. And our neighbors were so impressed that N.T.S. got several more jobs in the area.

Description of Work: Jeff removed a mimosa tree and ground the stump out. It was located in the bank beside my driveway. He went over the same day I called to look at the tree and had it out the next day! He is courteous and his service is very fairly priced. Jeff removed a huge fir tree from the front yard of my rental property last summer (2005). He gave me a very good price and cleaned up the site beautifully.
