Moorcroft Flooring

On a recent house rehab, we used Jake Moorcroft and Company to topcoat the hardwood floors. Our budget wouldn't allow for a full refinishing and the floors were still decent so we opted for the topcoat. The steps were pretty rough so Jake recommended they be completely refinished. I've used Jake before for complete floor refinishing (down to the bare wood) and was completely satisfied so I knew he would be more than qualified for a top coating. A top coating is where the surface is dulled down and a fresh coat of clear is applied. Along the way, we asked Jake to do a few other tasks which he did without any extra charges. After the work was complete, we were very satisfied. Jake Moorcroft and Company is reliable, their prices are fair, and there are no surprises.

He and his son were very polite, punctual, clean and respectful. They were professional and came at the time they said. The job was started and finished in the time quoted. The result was better than I ever could have imagined. I would use them again and recommend them to everyone.

I could not have been happier with my experience. This is a family business run by Jake Moorcroft, and his only employees are his wife and adult son, John. They were extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and providede a detailed estimate and timely work. They gave me the best price of anyone around, and used high end equipment to do the job. The were very neat and friendly, and I trusted them completely. They actually put various sample stains on the sanded floor, so that I could personally pic out my favorite and see how it would look. Shortly after the work was done, a different contractor scratched up the brand new floor. Jake and his son came back promptly and made the repairs, and even left me extra stain and finish in case I had any future damage. You could tell they cared about their work and reputation. I have recommended them in person to countless people, and I had to put them on here for others. Believe me, I have experienced numerous horror stories with contractors since purchasing my house, but this was the only one that went flawlessly! You won't be sorry with them!
