The initial installation went well, however, the installer broke my antique grandfather's clock. That being said, we were able to work through the repair of the clock at Molyneaux's expense. Now, 6 months later, the installation is already failing in my family room. The installer tucked the carpeting between the hardwood flooring and the carpeted area and it's already shredding and becoming threadbare. This was NOT cheap carpeting and the installation shouldn't be failing after only 6 months.

Sales wise great, installation was not so great. We picked this locally renowned company based off their reputation but were ultimately disappointed because our walls were scratched at install. Some scratches went all the way into the drywall. We were offered repair but honestly did not trust their techs to come back and do anything else for us.

Estimaters and installers came on time, worked hard, and did a professional job

Cindy Benson was very professional, knowledgeable and was very helpful in helping me decide what tile I wanted to match my new counter tops. The installers (Gene and Dave) were also very professional and did a great job with the backsplash. This is not the first time I have used Molyneaux, they have down carpeting for me also and the experience was stress free.

Molyneaux had previously installed carpet in several rooms, and they performed an outstanding service. Because they provided excellent service, we asked them to return to install carpet in our guest bedroom. From the inception of placing our order through the final steps of installation, we found them to be professional and courteous, and the installation was completed to perfection.

Cindy Benson came to our house with several different samples for us to choose from and we loved everyone of them. She helped us to decided which would be best for our space. We love her recommendation. The installers came and did a fantastic job. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. We will be using them for our next flooring project as well.

The only problem we had was there were black fingerprints on the walls when the installers left. We didn't notice them before they left. We were able to fix the problem ourselves with a Magic Eraser. Molyneaux was told about it and offered to wash down our walls but it wasn't a major problem so we told them they didn't need to come. The installation was done professionally and the results were definitely to our satisfaction. We would use this company again.

Met with salesperson, Cindy Benson at the store and discussed project, possible colors, etc. Cindy then came to my home with carpets and padding as I wanted to see the padding since I was doing hallways as well as stairs and might want different pads in different places. Cindy explained how she was doing the measuring so that the carpet would be in the same direction. This is important because the nap could look different if a piece cut was put perpendicular and I could see the difference. The workmen came on the date and time scheduled and did a good job. I was particularly worried because I have painted mop boards and was afraid of a lot of nicks and dents requiring touchups after the job. They did a very careful job and I had no problems. They did all the carpet cutting outside and cleaned up everything.

We just moved into our condo and discovered that the master bedroom carpet needed replaced and the moving company would be delivering our furniture in three days. Stopped into Molyneaux Tile, Carpet and Wood and Cindy Benson guided us through the process of showing us carpet samples and drove right out to our home to measure our room. She said she would have it done before the furniture was delivered and it was. The installers went right to work and were done in no time. Everyone was very professional. I was very pleased with the attentive service provided by Molyneaux and our sales associate Cindy Benson. We took advantage of their shop at home service and Cindy called before the visit to determine what I wanted. She arrived promptly for the appointment and brought a wide variety of selections. In the end I chose something very different than I had originally indicated, but with her samples and her guidance we were comfortable to go another direction. Cindy was also very helpful in choosing the padding. She even directed us away from the more expensive padding by saying that it was more than we needed. The instillation whet very smoothly. The instillation crew was prompt (called to tell me when they would be there), courteous and expert at their job. They worked the entire time (4 hours). We had removed most of the items from the basement, but they were fine with moving and working around some larger pieces of furniture. They removed all of the old carpet and padding when they left. I am very pleased with my beautiful new carpet and my room looks wonderful. I will definitely call Molyneaux in the future with my flooring needs.

Installers were professional and polite. Overall great installation job. Found a few hard spots (like balled up padding) when walking around. Not sure why but will definitely follow up with them. Carpet has a great stain guard as I had to wipe up a couple spots and they came right out! Customer service was excellent.

Called day before to set time and arrived on time. Moved all furniture without damage, very professional crew. There was a problem with carpet in family room and someone came out the next week to address it. It was determined that the entire carpet would need to be replaced and this was done promptly. We are very pleased with the quality, installation and prompt response to problems. Would definitely use Molyneaux again .

The selling and job went very well. Cindy Benson came to our house and provided samples and measured the job. We paid for half of the job and set a date for the installation. The carpet was in earlier than expected Molyneaux called to see if we wanted it installed earlier we changed the date. The day of installation it had rained prior to the installation. Some of the carpet was to be installed on steps that were exposed the workers suggested to delay installation of the steps until the weather was dryer which we agreed. We did not have pay them till the job was complete. The weather cooperated several weeks later and the steps were completed and the remainder of the job was done. Cindy called us after the job to see how we liked the installation. job was done perfectly very satisfied.

Our salesperson, Jenn Skeels, was very punctual, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about carpeting in general and Molyneaux's products in particular. I had already spoken to Jenn on the phone prior to our in-home showing, so she came prepared with samples she thought would meet our needs and preferences. Jenn gave a thorough and persuasive presentation on why Molyneaux's products, services, and warrantee beat the competition. While we considered our choices, Jenn measured the room, and then presented us with prices for the carpets we'd selected. When I spoke to Jenn on the phone prior to our in-home appointment, I told her that our budget was under $2,000 (about $5.33 per square feet, inclusive of padding/installation). Although we hadn't solicited any other quotes/bids, we had visited Home Depot and priced out carpet/pad/installation, so THOUGHT this was a reasonable cost to carpet our master bedroom with a quality product. Jenn was confident that she could work within our budget, and added that Molyneaux was currently running their annual VIP sale, which reduced the cost of carpet/installation by as much as 50%. When she told me this, I briefly thought we might actually come in UNDER budget. However, once we had selected a carpet, and Jenn had measured our room and calculated our price, the total was slightly OVER our budget. But we were persuaded to buy the carpet, and we set up the installation. We were given a guaranteed installed-by date three weeks out, but told that if the carpet arrived early, we could move up our installation date. In fact, we were able to have the carpet installed within two weeks, a full week early. The installers (two of them) arrived in an unmarked van and wore no uniforms, but they were polite and capable. The entire process took about three or four hours (I can't remember exactly how long), in which they removed the bedroom furniture, removed the existing carpet/padding, installed the new padding/carpet, replaced the furniture, and cleaned up the area. I checked in from time to time, but otherwise did not supervise the work. The installers were friendly throughout. At my request, they even installed carpeting on the wooden block that was used to cover the laundry chute in the floor. I was pleased with the finished result. The carpet was beautiful, the quality was excellent, the installation was flawless. Over the next week, I walked on it with and without shoes, lay on it, vacuumed it, introduced our children and pets to it...even cleaned up an accident. The ONLY thing I was less than delighted with was the thickness and springiness of the carpet. Jenn had told me during her presentation that Molyneaux uses only one kind of carpet pad for all their installs, a 3/4" pad. Although the sample felt soft enough to the touch, under carpet it was very firm, not as yielding or as springy as I had hoped. I believe Jenn's explanation that a softer, more yielding pad would not prove as durable over time, and respect Molyneaux's commitment to quality. However, since our master bedroom is not a high traffic area, I would have liked the option to choose a lower durability/higher comfort carpet pad. My carpet is every bit as silky as I could want, but not as springy as I would have liked. I give this information not quite as a complaint, but more as feedback. I am still uncertain how to rate the value-to-price of Molyneax's product and service. My impression is that they are rather expensive, and if it weren't for the VIP sale we would probably not have done business with them. It is entirely possible that I was naïve about what it would cost to install carpet in our master bedroom. It is possible that I was overestimating the quality and value of the products we had priced out at Home Depot. It is possible that we got a superior product from Molyneaux, one that will withstand the test of time better than anything else in our price range. Jenn had also told me that Molyneaux's post-installation customer service and quality guaranteed is the best in the business. Only time will tell how true that is.

Their prices were significantly higher than the other companies we've contacted but one thing that was nice is that, with any issues you have, they take care of it. You don’t have to contact the carpet manufacturer and they come to your house. You don't have to go to their show room. They bring samples to your house based on what you are looking for. They take all the measurements and that was kind of nice. I understand why they're expensive and that's because they cover everything and if you have any issues, they will take care of it. Their person was very knowledgeable of all of they had. They're a very good company but I decided to go with a local company. I called and they came out the next day so they're very quick. They even called back immediately.

The crew , Tony and Francis were very professional , courteous , and knowledgable about their trade . They made the installation very easy and pleasant , an excellent crew. !!!

This was our third purchase from Mark Commander of Molyneaux. No hussle. No gimmicks. Just a straightforward, professional business transaction. That's why we continue to have confidence in Mark when he visits for a consultation. On the day prior to installation, Kim called to confirm and provide a time window for the job. Scott called from the warehouse to advise that he and his son would arrive in 30 minutes. Right on time, they checked the jobsite and really went to work. Moved the furniture, took up the old carpet and padding, swept the floor and installed new padding. The carpet was cut, put down and trimmed. Precisely! This is a very professional father and son team. No cell phone calls. No texting. No random 20 minute smoke breaks. Their work is incredible: accurate, tight fits along the baseboards and where the carpet meets the flooring in adjacent rooms. No paint dings. No beat-up baseboards. No sloppy, loose edges or threads. No mess: all unused material was removed. The jobsite was spotless. Molyneaux is a local family business. They communicate. They have top-quality craftsmen. They care. Think about the last two words: THEY CARE. That's why you call Molyneaux.

Pre-Sale / Quote: We are usually adverse the the shop at home gimmick, because we have been very annoyed and pressured in the past. This is not the case with Molyneaux. It is actually a plus. They come and do all the measurements (which you have to pay for with others) and then can give you an exact quote. They can also see your space and give advice. There was no attempt at up-sell either. Install: The install was great. They move furniture for you (others charge for that) and communicate very clearly. Took about 3/4 day. Overall: Their price is slightly higher than the big box, but it is worth it. And it is not that much higher. The service, warranty, and peace of mind add up. If I had to ding them on anything, it would be that I needed a few doors trimmed and they were not equipped to do that. That may not be their responsibility anyway. So, just a word of advice. Make sure your doors will swing over the carpet.

The sales person, Mark Commander was great to work with ad very helpful. Their prices are somewhat higher than a big box store but the quality is much better. They installers were very courteous, polite and hard working.

Expensive -offerd 30% dicount but when asked for final price said it was already applied. The quote was $4000 and she quickly said the original price would have been $12,000. Maybe she should check her math- 30% off $12,000 is NOT $4000 for a final price; the price would have been $8000.

Molyneaux was very efficient and professional in both selection and installation of our carpeting.

The salesman and installers were very professional. It couldn't have gone smoother and the price was very fair. The whole process was very customer friendly.

You can set up an in-home free estimate via their web page. We used their site on 6/5/13 to request an appointment. We requested the appointment for Wednesday the 12th at 6 o'clock. They didn?t respond to their web page. We went to the store over the weekend and set up an in-home appointment for Wednesday the 12th at 7 o'clock with Cindy. Their showroom had a lot of options to choose from. Mark called on Wednesday the 12th to confirm the 6 o'clock appointment that we scheduled via their website. We canceled his appointment. They need to confirm their web appointments earlier. We assumed since we didn't hear from Molyneaux they weren't coming. Cindy arrived on time and went over the kitchen plans and suggested we put in a new subfloor and change our base boards. They will put something up against the cabinets that will match the cabinets. Her estimate was $4,631. Her original estimate was $8,386 but she took off 40% for some reason and then $400 dollars in coupons. Thought maybe we were buying a car. We decided to go with Molyneaux and signed an agreement on 6/26/13. Cindy wanted Molyneaux to do a pre-inspection to see if we would need subflooring put in the kitchen and if the linoleum in the hallway would need to be taken up. We actually weren?t ready to put in the flooring until our kitchen renovator had taken up the old flooring. We had to pick a date for when the floor would be installed and we picked August 26th. They said it would be difficult to move it up but we can move it back. They called several times to schedule the pre-inspection even though I had said I would call them when the floor was ready to be inspected. Finally everything was in place and the old flooring was up so we called and scheduled them to come out on Tuesday 8/20 in the morning. Jeff came around 9:30 and talked to our contractor. Jeff seemed very knowledgeable. He talked to our contractor about raising our cabinets to make sure they did not look like they were sunk into the new laminate flooring. Everything looked okay and they said we are on track for the 26th. He took a sample of the hallway flooring to see if it had asbestos in it. We never heard one way or the other. On the 23rd, Nick dropped off the laminate to acclimate to our house. He called first and came early in the morning which was nice. On the 26th Dave and an assistant came and put in the floor. They were here from 6:45 am to 12:30 pm. They didn't pick up the old hallway floor but they did put down a subfloor in the kitchen. Also the installer said we basically had to have a transition between the kitchen and hallway. This was something I specifically asked NOT to have between the 2 floors. The installer said the floor had too many angles and nooks and crannies and if he didn't put it in now the floor would buckle and they would have to come back to fix it and put in a transition anyway. He also said it would be difficult to transition it nicely because of the height difference. Both Cindy and Jeff the pre-inspection guy thought a transition would not be needed and one of the reasons the floor was pre-inspected was to determine if there was going to be a height difference. The other reason the floor was pre-inspected was to determine if the kitchen would need a sub-floor put in. When I called Cindy about the transition she asked if they put in the sub-floor because, if not, she would work up a refund for us. We told her they did put in the sub-floor as far as we knew and Cindy said the scheduler had told her we didn't need it (based on the pre-inspection?). Apparently internal communication isn't what you would hope for. And apparently, you the customer may have to pay for that. The installer did a nice job on the floor. And except for the transition between the hallway and kitchen we are very pleased with it.

I had a sales person come to my house to show samples. They never told me they had different thicknesses and levels of quality. I had asked for the best carpet for wear and tear since I have a house full of grandchildren here every day. Little did I know that I was sold the bottom of the line carpet. Less than a year later I found that the carpet under our feet where we sit on the couches and chairs was all worn and frayed and looked horrible when you would walk into the room. The worn spots were very visible. After much back and forth and sending pictures and having someone come and examine the carpet they finally decided that they would replace it but it took me quite a bit of contacting them and the management to get the problem resolved. I ended up paying more money to get the top of the line carpet installed. It might sound like an easy process but it took me more than a week to empty three rooms of furniture, accessories, toys and other items. After the installation it took me over a week to put everything back together again. Then a year later I had to do it all over again... it was NOT fun! Lately I see hints of the same spots becoming slightly worn so the top of the line might last five years instead of just one. I hope I am wrong and that it lasts longer. I had replaced a carpet that was 25 years old and even though it looked old there were no large worn spots...just a hole where my dog had chewed. I am hoping this carpeting holds up.
