Went well. Quick response. Reasonable fees.

We got delayed and an opening came up an the work was seemed to be fit in between other jobs. the work that was done was pretty good. They did have to come back and redo a window that was done fairly sloppy and they blew off two vents that were never completed. Ty the owner is a pretty nice fella but I think he's just go way to many irons in the fire and the project in the end felt like we were marginalized. Also they left a sign in my yard for months that we ended up pitching in the trash and no follow up call.

Meredith presented us with an evaluation and estimate in a straight forward and easy to understand manner. All our questions were answered without a "sales pitch". The work was begun and completed in a timely manner and clean-up was thorough. Last but, not least, they got us excellent financing.

I got a quote from Meredith and they had sent a representative to my home to provide the quote and the details of their service. Overall I was very impressed with their pedigree and the work they have done historically. It certainly appears that the Meredith quality and customer service are second to none! Naturally this comes at a price, however, and they were at the top end of the quotes as far as cost is concerned. In spite of not ultimately selecting Meredith to do the work on my home, I am confident that they would have provided the highest quality workmanship if price were less of an issue for me.

Meredith gave me an accurate estimate of when they would send a rep to give an estimate and when they could schedule the work. Once scheduled they arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job. They were very good.

sales person seemed great. they got to the job when they said they would. then they started and my life has been a nightmare since. day one, on a friday, i get home from work to find the workers gone and their ladders completely blocking my garage and their trailer blocking the rest of my driveway, as tho no one lived there. called all over and they moved it the next day. they start working, pretty short hours, then vanish for days at a time, then ultimately just don't show up for a whole week. no communication. called them to ask when i'd have my driveway and house back (pieces of siding flapping in the breeze seriously messed with my sleep) and apparently they hadn't ordered enough siding and were waiting on it. ok, fine. why didn't u tell me. more short work days interspersed and then their ladder falls on our fence one day and damages it. they also installed the rails and posts completely off kilter. a 2nd grader could handle a tape measure and a level better than these guys and my deck looks terrible. it's now been over 2 months since they started my project and they still haven't fixed the front rails/posts, and my fence is still broken. i'm still picking up their debris and pollution from my yard, and i'm being forced to leave this terrible review, against my nature, because their last communication was 3 weeks ago when i asked when they'd be done with my house and was given the runaround again. i hate that i have to keep nagging, despite giving them numerous chances to make this right. this is the most unprofessional company i have ever worked with and i encourage u to stay VERY clear.

I had work done by Meredith approximately 4 years ago, and was pleased with the results. That was not the case this time - as the people that I worked with then are no longer with the company. My first experience was when the sales rep came out and gave me the quote - $800 for a patio roof (including new plywood, ice guard, and shingles) and $250 for gutters to be aligned and adjusted. Sounded fair - so I booked it. About a week later, a crew came to do the job completely unannounced - and had no idea what they were supposed to do. I wasn't expecting them and didn't have time to talk, as I was in a meeting for work and again, they just showed up. They spent the next few hours not doing anything, and I could hear them from my home office asking a bunch of questions on the phone and just generally not being prepared - didn't have the scope of work, the right materials, etc. They left shortly after and said they'd be back - the only thing they did was tear off the existing patio roof. Fast forward a month - there is still a dumpster bag in my front yard full of the old roof, and now I have a porch without shingles with the plywood getting completely soaked this fall (this was around Thanksgiving). Crews / Guys have come out several times - none of them ever knew was was going on - none of them completed any work - and they all had different ideas of what should be done. Talk about unprofessional and frustrating. I called the office, the sales reps, etc - and the person who I was working with at the office was somewhat responsive and helpful. She kept assuring me that it would be done right. This saga goes on and on - and finally mid-December a crew shows up in the snow and is here for a few hours and does the work. The only reason the crew came that day was because that woman promised they would - and when she called to tell me there was a change of plans and they weren't coming I lost it and told her the job was cancelled if they didn't come. I was in NYC for work. My husband called while they were working and told me that they were putting the shingles over the old, rotten, soaked plywood. I had to call the office and demand that they replaced that wood. My husband said they were here for a few hours, but he didn't hear or see them do anything with the gutters and also questioned if ice guard was put down. They knocked on the door and asked him if he cared if nails poked down through the plywood. He said yes he cared - and they had to go get more plywood to double it up. The crew was instructed to take photos of the job as proof that it was done and done right, but that didn't happen. I was assured that it would. I was invoiced for the full amount 12/19 (which is now doubled to over $2K due to the gutters not needing to be aligned, but rehung) - and I replied back and they agreed to reduce the fee for my trouble, and they were going to send photos and the updated invoice. Yesterday, 1/2/19 I got an e-mail asking for my payment telling me that we "needed to get this squared away" and that there were no pictures. They NEVER sent the final invoice, they didn't fulfill their end of the bargain, and I have NO FAITH that the work was done at all - let alone done complete and right. I have called the office several times today to discuss this situation and the phone goes directly to a busy signal. I am beyond frustrated with this situation and would highly advise against using this company for any reason.

We are in the early steps of the sales process and wanted to share the professional and team approach that Meredith Home Improvement utilized in educating and providing a price for their service. The sales professional did a great job utilizing video footage of our current roof condition and helping us as consumers to understand our current situation and then educated us on the process and products utilized for the roof replacement. One of the few vendors that asked what our future plans for the house was - which helped align the proper warranty and future home improvements and seeking a solution within budget. The process was not pushy but rather - professional and well thought out - we look forward to making a good decision as to our roof replacement moving forward.

Started well and ended with terrible quality and terrible service. Very professional person surveyed and quoted the job....Then Roger the contractor showed up. He was initially responsive, but grew worse and worse. He eventually became so rude and harsh to my family that we had to call Ty Meredith and ask him to never let Roger return. The next crew they sent was a young kid who brought his girlfriend to help. He was extremely incompetent and made many mistakes (some we only learned about later). Here are the details of the issues. 1. After promising to never do so, they left the gutter off the house twice with pending storms. The water was directed towards the house and flooded our upstairs bedroom. The second time it flooded into our basement by pouring through the door. The third time I had to get up in a storm and attach the gutters myself. 2. In filling screw holes in the composite trim boards, the manufacturers instructions recommend plugs first and if not plugs a specific caulking. I printed out and showed him the instructions. He continued to use un-paintable 100% silicone caulking. We now have a huge mess. I can't paint any of my trim and they are picking up dirt and look terrible. 3. They put a ladder against a window and cracked the frame. 4. They did a terrible job on the fit of the trim around the most visible door and there are terrible joints between the boards. 5. Some time later, a lot of the siding started coming off the house in multiple locations and we found out that it was carelessly just nailed into the foam board instead of into studs. Initially Meredith was responsive (especially Keith). They removed Roger, they promptly and professionally repaired the window, and they gave us a good discount to cover the flooding and gave us a 13 year labor warranty (initially was only 10 in the contract). Now it is 2 years later. When the siding came off the back of the house, it took many weeks of calling to get them to respond. They finally sent someone to fix the siding. The gutter also fell off and had to be repaired. Now more siding is coming off and it has been weeks and weeks of calling day after day and they either don't answer the phone or don't call back. We still live with the terrible appearance of the dark dirt stains in all the caulking of the trim we can't paint or clean and we live with the siding coming off the house. Losing hope they will ever call us back. Has turned into a terrible experience. Never ever use Meredith.

Fantastically. They were quick start, quick to finish, very thorough and professional with everything that was done, and the best value for the $ that I was quoted (throughout quotes from four contractors). I would absolutely hire them again.

Work was performed as scheduled and it looks great. No issues to date. We had a leak at the time of the the request and Meredith ensured they gave our roof priority.

It went well. They showed up and got a majority of the work done in 2 days. They had to come back to fix a finish up a few things here and there but because they started in January, they had to work around the weather.

Replaced 8 square of my roof and did an excellent job at a fair price. The only contractor that asked me to be there to meet them in person to assess the damage. And one of only two to tell me the true measurement of what needed replaced. Most contractors over estimated by 2 square not knowing I already new it was 8 square not 10.

We had a representative named Zack show up to give us a quote. He was knowledgeable, professional, and listened to our needs. He was the only person who took our budget seriously, and worked to earn our business by giving us solutions that fit our budget. We ended up having Hardie Board installed, which was a surprise as we originally didn't think that was in our price range. The installation crew was quick and did great work. The final product looks great, and best of all, the woodpecker is no longer destroying our home.

They were okay. It took them a little while to get things right but they kept working until they got it right. I had some problems getting a hold of them a couple of times. They should hire a foreman who speaks better English.

They took about 2 and half weeks to do the job. They came the day before Thanksgiving and removed all the gutters and down spouts and were not back until Monday!!! There were days that the crew was never there, even though the weather was good. I found out that they did not work for Meredith, but were subcontracted by them to do the job. The gutters were subcontracted out too, they were good quality material and do not have a problem with Steel Valley Gutters. Even before the job was done, every corner seam leaked and had to be resealed. Months later, they were still leaking and they did send someone to repair them. He said that they were sealed incorrectly. He also found that the gutter guards that Meredith had installed were installed improperly as well. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. I DO NOT SEE HOW THEY HAVE AN "A" RATING!!! I thought I was hiring Meredith to do the job, not a subcontractor.

Roof was very good. Gutters and downspout was very poor. I had to call them back twice. Very unprofessional.

It went great. Shark was the crew leader he was professional,fast,efficient. Answered all my questions. Zack was my salesman and was very knowledgable and was not high pressure at all.

The salesman Zack was professional and not high pressure but helped us look at options and various products. The proposal was straight forward and compared favorably to others. Once we decided to move forward, the only "slight" issue was some up front communications with dumpster delivery & pickup. It would be nice to have a single project manager onsite as we dealt with both a roofing crew and a sheet metal crew; both crews were good and the roofing foreman even returned after the job was complete to make certain we were 100% happy with the work of his crew. Be aware the installers are not employees but subs. Again, both crews did fine work and were conscientious about their quality and our satisfaction. We did have a small drywall break in a 2nd floor ceiling, but that was repaired very quickly. There was no pressure to pay for the work until after a final walkthrough with the sales rep. As with any contractor, you need to communicate clearly and ask for that in return. I am recommending Meredith Home Improvement to others.

They arrived on the date that they said they would. They arrived on time every day and were extremely dependable. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable. The new siding was installed exactly as described in the estimate. Everything looks excellent and extremely neat.

After some scheduling difficulties, two skilled and professional roofers came by and did a great job going beyond what was expected. Very positive.

It was a reasonable negotiation process with the salesman. Once the deal was signed, communications were not very frequent but became better as the work progressed. The roofers came at the expected time. While their language was an impediment, the quality was ok. A nail came through an interior wall and they did not fix it. They left dozens of nails on the property. In all, the quality was ok and the roof looks good. The window subcontractors were fast and effective but left scratches on the walls. The siding/gutter crew were brusque but incredible craftsman. They did the little things that made the house look fantastic. The project is not quite completed as a storm door was delayed but we trust that it will be completed with consistent quality. The project manager was excellent and the quality control rep was responsive. I highly recommend Meredith and will use them again.

I have more water damage after the contractor finished the work than before with the old roof and no liner on my gutters. This projects has being extremely stressful from the beginning. I asked the company to evaluate our home and recommend repairs. We agreed on roof replacement and re lining our gutter if this will ensure we will not have any water leaks. After the "repairs", on the first rainy day we had a cascade of water running into our house from the front and back gutters. We took video and call the company. We decided to hold payment of the balance pending for the gutters, until they came out to correct the issue. We paid the roof replacement. Ty came out apologies for the issue and told me they will make it right. Then later that week I received a call saying a discount will be added to our pending balance for labor on the gutters but not materials. That he didn't have workers available that can make the repairs necessary to my gutters to make them work properly and if he would to get someone out, he will have to charge more than the original quote. But even when we agreed to pay for the additional labor, he said does not have the men available. A month after this conversation I got a collection call regarding our pending balance with them. I told them the issue I had because of their bad job and that now I need to find a contractor that can fix the problem to avoid additional damages to my home. The pending balance now is $1,500. I had offer to pay $200 a month until the balance is paid off. I had no idea how much would it cost me to repair what they didn't successfully complete, plus the water damage repairs that now our home required inside. I felt the bad job and additional cost to repair their incompetence should at least delay the repayment. I also now have additional cost because of the water damage inside the home damage ceiling plaster, window and floors in our dining room and master bedroom. They denied that payment plan option. Instead they sent me an invoice with red marked note that said "the next letter will be from our attorney". I wish I could post pictures on this review to show everyone the enormous damage this issue is causing inside our home, that it didn't exist before Meredith worked on our roof and gutters. Even when the job was unsatisfactory, I didn't post bad reviews or report them to any agency. This issue is ongoing since December 2015. I was hopeful that they will fix what they contract to do. I am still looking for a contractor that is willing to fix what another contractor started, which its seem more difficult than I ever expected. Specially after this experience. I believed the reviews for this company and expected a large company with name would not put a homeowner in any situation like this one. The Company says as marketing pitch " a favorite for over 35 years so you can have confidence in our workmanship". It's unfortunate this is not what we experience. Homeowners know that if you already paid almost 10k, holding $1,500 it's just a matter of principals.
