I apologize - this is long. Our project was completed back on 8/2016. We had issues going into the project which in hindsight should have been enough for us to drop them and find someone else. With me being pregnant at the time, we wanted to project completed before our baby was due. We had issues with the initial permitting and our township office. Meredith couldn't produce proper drawings for out porch roof to be approved. It took weeks for Ty to hire an architect to get the drawings completed - he thought just handing a pencil drawing on a scratch piece of paper was sufficient... Fast forward after completion of the project - the crew was courteous and efficient. A few months later we noticed (during fall rainy season) water running down the front of our house, leaving our front door area wet (it now has a ROOF). We called and called and finally got them to come out. Their solution? Add caulking... We tried for 2 years to get them to come out again and we got the run around (that's if we were able to actually talk to some one.) We finally got another roofing company to come out and inspect. We thought maybe they used to incorrect flashing. After inspection, we found out along with incorrect flashing, the ENTIRE roof was installed incorrectly and water was leaking in between the siding. Luckily everything was covered by the GAF warranty and we weren't tied to using Meredith to make the repairs since it was 2 years after initial install. The management practices of this company is appalling and is the reason why contractors get a bad name. Not to mention the staff turnaround. They are swindling thousands of dollars out of homeowners and employing contractors who do not know how to do proper installs. Their license needs to be revoked. It's down right shameful. All went well. Zack, the sales rep, was friendly and didn't pressure us at all. He took his time to make sure we understood the options and the process. The crew that did the work was very efficient and did a great job of cleaning up both days they were here. They were a little more expensive than another company, but they were high quality all around. The roof looks great!

I contracted with Meredith Home Improvements for a new roofing project. I had 4 estimates and they weren't the lowest (2nd lowest) cost but I felt more comfortable with them from the get go. Cameron (our salesman) was open and honest at the forefront. The team led by Danny arrived at 7:30am and were completely finished and cleaned up by 3:30pm. Very professional and informative throughout the day. Andy from Meredith was here as well and very helpful. The job was done wonderfully and the roof looks fantastic. I would have full faith in hiring them for a job in the future.

Our experience, as always with Meredith, was excellent. When we signed the contract, we were given an approximate number of weeks out until the work would start. The timing was spot on. Our dumpster was delivered on the start day early AM and the crew began work as soon as it arrived. Everyone involved with our project was professional and courteous. Our new roof looks amazing and our yard was left in the same condition it was before we started!

When about 20 tiles were ripped off the roof by The Big Wind the other day I had to scramble to get it fixed before the rain and snow came again. These guys came in same day I called to check the roof and bid replacing it since it's 25 years old. I had a bid from last year already when I had needed a repair. This company's bid was significantly lower... I'm talking less than half the other companies bid. The sales guy showed me what they would do on his IPAD. They put padding/insulation down under the new shingles so even if they would blow off water will still not get in. 25 year warranty. The work looked and ended up being extremely professional. They came that night to repair the roof free of charge since I had contracted for the new one. Then they called a few days later to schedule the new roof. Sent 6 guys and had the whole thing done in one day. Looks great If you need a new roof definitely get a bid from these guys.

Very responsive and communicative. Within a very short period of time, somebody was a my house to provide a quote after damage evaluation and another trip for a fix. Pictures were taken along the way to walk me through the damage and repairs. Overall great experience and plan to hire again for future work!

I have worked with various types of contractors and many companies. It is very difficult to find anyone to call you back, complete the work on time, or be in clear communication with you. I’ve waited weeks and months for jobs to actually be completed and it’s extremely time consuming and frustrating to constantly be following up with people you supposedly hired to do a job. Meredith returned my voicemail within 5 minutes, gave me an estimate that day, and had the work completed the following week during the only dry few hours we had all week. I got a clear explanation of what was needed, a fair estimate, and professional contract sent over via email for my records. It was one of the smoothest and fastest transactions I’ve ever had when hiring help for a house project which is especially appreciated when you’re dealing with leaking issues. They gave me several updates throughout that week because they were tracking the weather (it was a crazy weather week in February) to try to find a time they could do the work. I can not recommend them highly enough and will never call another roofer again. Thank you so much for your great work and for making the process so easy!

I cannot say enough about the great service provided by Meredith Home Improvement to resolve our roof issue. I worked with Cameron from the initial consultation until the completion of the work. Cameron inspected the entire roof, took photos, and identified the recurring leaks were caused by the aluminum ridge vent installed when the house was built. He advised this type of ridge vent is rigid with multiple sections that can pull apart due to wind, rain and the house settling. Cameron recommended that replacing the existing ridge vent with one made of fiberglass would provide a permanent solution. I found the cost to replace and install the new ridge vent very reasonable, especially since I had previously paid another roofer $500 to caulk the ridge vent on two separate occasions, but continued to have leak issues. Cameron was knowledgeable, respectful, courteous, and patient; he answered all of my questions and concerns. Even though the weather was horrible, Cameron and his boss worked to get the new ridge vent installed as soon as they were able to get on the roof safely. I am extremely satisfied with the ENTIRE process, and I will definitely use Meredith again for any future home needs or improvements. Thank you for giving me peace of mind!

Good its the little stuff, nails, sticky strip backs all over yard, slow down a little and finish properly

Meredith provided a professional and timely quote, showing us samples of the materials they would use on our roof. Their price was very competitive with another quote we received. We contracted with Meredith and their work crew arrived as planned and did a great job in less than three days, start to finish. We discovered a minor problem a few days after completion and Meredith sent someone over to inspect and fix it the same day we called. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

What a great company! Good prices, quality work, crews showed up exactly on time, cleaned up after themselves, polite and professional. I had one question after the work was finished and it was answered within minutes. Excellent firm to work with. I would highly recommend to everybody.

They were very Professional and always available to answer my phone calls and emails when I had questions. Very Knowledgeable about the product and what I needed to get and what I didnt need to get. Had many different options that I was able to choose from. The pricing they gave me was exactly what the quote was. Over all I am very impressed with my new roof and satisfied.

I want to preface this review with one caveat: I don't normally rate companies that I don't actually hire. I normally feel that it is a real disservice to them and I hate reading reviews of that nature. However... Their website clearly says that they work with slate roofs. We scheduled a date for someone to come out to look at the work I need done and I told them on that call that I have a slate roof. They call back the day of and tell me that they do not work with slate. Is their website out of date? I'm going to assume that I was lied to on the phone since their website has a whole page dedicated to slate roofs that states, "Meredith Home Improvements proudly offers all of its customers with slate repair and new slate roof installations. If you are in need of slate work in the Pittsburgh area, you’ve come to the right place."

After a bad contractor experience, Meredith Home Improvements came out for a estimate. Zack was very professional and did an excellent job showing the product and going over the work. We had 2 other estimates done too and Meredith was the best priced. It was a good month from the initial estimate and the time I contacted Zack to sign the contract to start. In that month time Zack was not pushy or calling to see if we decided. After signing, (keep in mind this is at the end of the season after a rainy summer) they dropped off materials the following week and a week after that the crew was here on that Monday like they said. The crew started on Monday morning and was finished by Tuesday afternoon. The crew did a great job. They worked quick and paid attention to detail. I would absolutely reccomend Meredith Home Improvements. Couldn't be happier.

They answered my call promptly. They do not do roof repairs, only replacements.

The roof they installed 6 years ago was installed completely incorrectly and now has shingles that aren’t attached and my roof is leaking. I have mold growing in my rafters, too. Since May I have repeatedly called them and after two of their reps finally came out in September and were shocked at the terrible state of my roof, assured me that they would get back to me. After two more weeks of no response, I called and was told that Ty Meredith would contact me. That was a week ago and still no call. I am now getting legal advice.
