We had planned on getting a lot of work done on our house this year, but were not able to start contacting contractors until late summer. We first contacted contractors in our town(Washington, PA), and although a few expressed interest in coming to make an estimate, they ended up being too busy to follow up with us. We used Angie's List to see if there were any contractors within traveling distance who might be interested. By then it was October, and we were pretty resigned to waiting till next summer to get the work done. Still, we contacted Meredith Home Improvement by email to see if they would at least be interested in coming to look at the house and make a bid. Ty got back to us within a day and set up an appointment to come see us. He came within a a few days. He talked to us about our ideas, he measured, told us what products they used, and told us he would email an estimate. He sent us an estimate with a day or two, and we accepted. He told us at the time we signed the contract that it would be December before his crew could start working, and we assumed that with bad weather coming the work probably wouldn't start until the spring, but at least we would have things lined up. In December Ty contacted us and said the start date had been delayed due to weather, but they planned on starting first thing in January. On January 3, two of the guys showed up to get snow off the roof and to get things set up to start working the next day. They worked every day until January 25, except for two days when it was raining so hard that it would have been impossible to get anything done. They came even when the temperature was in the single digits! The crew was polite, considerate, and cleaned all debris. They made suggestions about details we hadn't considered, but always got our approval for anything that wasn't clear. Our house is completely done now and looks beautiful.

Everything went well. My roof was leaking and I was concerned with the weather changing.They worked in the cold and the rain, on Saturday before Christmas and Monday after Christmas. They kept my home covered and dry (even with the high winds and driving rain). Cleaned up each day before they left. Made sure everything was completed as agreed to. I am getting a quote on additional work. It's nice to find a contractor who knows the best solution to your problem, preforms the work as described and at a competitive price. Highly recommend.

They were very responsive and the price was very competitive and they were a pleasure to work with. There were a few minor finishing issues, but they were great in coming back and resolving the issue. We are very happy with the finished product.

It all went well, Mike never tries to high pressure you into spending more money that you need to. You tell him what you want done, he comes and takes measurements and gets back to you quickly with an estimate.

Mike gave us a great deal. He had the best price. The guys did an awesome job on our house. They were very nice and friendly. Mike came and checked on the job numerous times. The job was finished in only a couple of days. I highly recommend Meredith Home Improvements to any job... Thanks Mike for and awesome job!!!!!

I was extremely pleased with. He was prompt. I called him because I wanted to see if he did repair and he said that he couldn't help me with that. I asked if he's got another option, he called me back immediately, came out while I was working so that he could assess the situation. He did give a quote on the siding. I asked him to quote me on windows and he did. He's given me his product sample right away because this was around the Thanksgiving week. He e-mailed right away and he e-mailed back and forth on different stuffs and different questions I had. He really proved that I can't say enough about him. He has everything ordered. I like his simple ness and his promptness. He was polite. I bothered him so much, but he was courteous and efficient. I did not get another quote. I have a lot of friends who have dealt with it and I conferred with them and his quote was excellent. My son-in-law had gone around and looked at the product he was using for the siding and he said that it was excellent. I would definitely swear on and get him to come and give me a quote.

Mike gave us the most reasonable estimate of all the contractors we spoke with. His workers had been with him for many years, were experienced and professional.Their clean-up was spotless and the workmanship was excellent. Although we ran into additional cost with the mudroom problem, I believe the additional price was fair and we were pleased with the results. The work was done within the time promised. We did not have to pay until the work was completed.

He was great. I would use him again if I needed a new roof. He was the cheapest and my personal interaction with him was great. He is very clean and very friendly. He is very easy to talk to about any issues.

Very good overall experience. Performed good work for a fair price. Completed the job in a timely manner. I'm somewhat particular, but Mike Meredith worked with me throughout the entire process, including picking the type of side, details about installation, etc. Even did a nice job of cleaning up. I would highly recommended them.

Mike's was lowest - by far - of the estimates I received. His crew was professional and efficient, and the results were excellent. The neighbors have all complimented us on how much better the house looks.

He was very nice and very qualified. The price he quoted me was $5100. I was very impressed by them and he had his state license card with this one thing that the list features you to ask about. It was a very professional proposal and so on and so forth. I pointed out a couple of things that I wanted to have done and he included it in the contract and he was very professional.

Great. Gave me an estimate within a couple of days, did the work within a week despite being very busy due to weather related work. I had a small issue and they came back the next working day and fixed it right away. I would highly recommend.

Meredith Home Improvements bid was $2000 less then the next closest bid. Mike Mereidith said that he would start in two weeks,and it was two weeks to the day. The men were polite, meticulous and very good craftsmen. They did an excellent job. I had a carpenter, who's a friend of mine, look at the job and he could find nothing at all wrong. I asked Mike about a bad report that he got on Angie's List and he said that someone wanted bathrooms remodeled and he only does siding, roofs, windows, gutters and downspouts. And that he is so busy that he can't call everyone back.

Unfortunately, this is not an unusual experience; not returning calls seems to be Standard Operating Procedure. It's an awful way to treat potential customers, though, and I would dissuade anyone from using a contractor that behaves this way.
