It was a pleasure to deal with this company! Everyone from the owner to the sales rep to the crew were pleasant, courteous and efficient. Ty Meredith answered all my calls promptly; I never had trouble reaching him. I wasn't sure about having the roof done at this time of year; thankfully the weather cooperated. The crew showed up on time and worked hard all day. They completed the job in about 2 days and really did a terrific job cleaning up! The only snafu was my fault - I didn't realize they needed access to my electrical box in the basement, just in case they blew a fuse; I had to have a neighbor open the house for them while I was at work, which delayed their start on the first day, so they had to come back and finish on a Saturday. The roof looks fantastic and the new shingles greatly increased the value and comfort of my home. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends. Thank you Ty, Mike and the crew!

He's going to be doing it in the spring, as soon as the weather breaks. He gave us an estimate. He was running late. When he was supposed to show up, he called and said, "I'm going to be about a half an hour late." I just appreciate those things. There's been so many times people stand you up, so if somebody calls to say, "I'm just a little late," we said "Fine," and then we said, "Well, how about if we just run out and pick up something for dinner." And he said, "Sure. I'll come a little bit later. No problem." It worked out fine. He came, he brought the samples. He was delightful to work with.

They gave me a good quote and I probably am going to use them. Their quoted price was about $7,000. I liked the general attitude of the guy who came out and I recommend that people have them come out to see what they have to say.

We didn't end up paying any extra. It was only one or two shingles that needed to be replaced to fix the leak. They just kind of went along and fixed all of that shingles. They showed up and fixed it. We could hear them walking around and banging on the roof. They climbed down and left. They never spoke a word. It was a really good experience. After their first appointment, they actually had to cancel the first appointment and come back because they didn't have the rain shingle. They actually got their work done less than a week before a massive rainstorm and before the hurricanes came through. We are Pittsburgh, so we didn't really get a whole lot of it but we got days and days of rain and it never leaked, so they got it whatever it was. It was a quick job but they just had to reschedule so that they could get the rain shingle covered. They are a little bit difficult to get in touch with but once everything gets set, they are really easy to work with.

Meredith Home Improvements just completed a 420 square foot all Trex two story deck. The workmanship, price and service were all outstanding. Ty Meredith and his crews were great to work with and we are thrilled with the value that we received.

Poorly...no one ever called back!

Meredith Home Improvements was very prompt at responding & quoting my job. They scheduled the work within two weeks. When they discovered more rotted wood under the old siding than expected they cleaned it out & repaired before putting on the new siding and also coordinated with my insulation team to get all work done smoothly. The work teams were basically good and mostly professional...sometimes the young guys got a bit distracted but the team's leader always kept them moving. Once complete, they walked the job with us, noting any minor fixes/loose ends to take care of. The job site was thoroughly cleaned up. A few days after completion we had one concern with the siding and they promptly came & solved the problem. Likewise, months later when a small section of siding near the roof looked loose they were prompt to repair.

We worked with Ty and he was fantastic. He came out really quickly and gave us an estimate that was reasonable and did the work in a timely manner. His team was professional and responsive to questions and concerns that we raised. We would definitely use them again.

The provider was responsive and friendly. We are happy with their work.

Went very well. We had a delay due to heavy rain the day they were to come out, however I was contacted by the owner ahead of time who asked to reschedule. Meredith Home Improvement came out and performed the service in question. The only minor complaint I have is not getting a follow-up call.

I contacted several roofers for an estimate on a small job at my home. Meredith Home Improvements was the low estimate. We liked the salesman and decided to give them our business. In the six weeks since we accepted their bid I attempted to contact them several times regarding a start date. On December 3 I was finally able to speak to someone and we set a tentative start date of Dec. 13 or 14. The gentleman assured me that he would call prior to the work beginning. I received no communication of any kind. On Dec. 14 I called and left a message cancelling our contract and told them I did not want to have them do the work. I still have received no phone call from them.

Meredith was the low bid among 3 that I obtained. They came and did the work when they said they would, and did a great job, very neat and professional. I would highly recommend them.

They are installing the roof as I am writing this review. 6 workers showed up at 7:30 this morning and are working right now.

We picked Meredith because of the rave reviews from Angie's List. I must say that we are sold on them! We will use them again for other repairs. They were punctual, neat, efficient, hard-working. Their price was also the lowest bid!

The overall experience was very good. Since this is my parents home and they are in their late 80's, I was present to oversee entire project to make sure the work was done according to the signed contract. The job was estimated to take two days depending on weather conditions. Fortunately, we had two beautiful days for the roof project and the entire roof was complete by the end of the second day. All roofing material and the dumpster were delivered the day prior to the roof project begininng. The work began on a Thursday. Five employees showed up on time and worked late the first day, only stopping for lunch in order to completely remove old roof, make repairs to roof deck and install all underlayment material. On Friday, work began at approimately 7:30 AM and entire roof was completed by 5:30 PM. Two employees did return on Saturday morning to install a downspout that was not included in the original delivery order. They also did some additional cleanup and left an open bundle of shingles behind in the event they would ever be needed for repairs. Ty Mereidth was excellant to work with. He showed up for the original inspection on-time. Once we decided to except his proposal, he returned to my parents home on-time, met with me and my parents to discuss in detail the scope of work and left with a signed contract. This was in early September. Ty indicated his crew could complete the work by mid to late October. I received a call in mid October and we collectively established October 25th as the starting date. I did call and text Ty on a few occasions and he always responded in minutes. He was always available to answer questions. Incidently, the roof looks great!

Meredith home improvements was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The extimate was clear, they came in a timely manner and were neat and pleasant and very hard workers. Our home looks wonderful! Thank you MeredithHomes and thank you angies list for referring them.

No problems. I called, they came, they fixed, I'm happy.

They were efficient and I can't complain about the work, but I can't imagine that it would cost $300 to do that job.

After seeing water dripping from my ceiling during a torrential downpour on Monday evening, October 29th, I went on Angie's list Tuesday morning to look for a roofer. I saw Meredith Home Improvements and contacted them. I left a message on their message system asking them to return my call. Within an hour, I received a call back. I explained what was going on with the water that dripped from my ceiling the night before. Ty said that they were really busy and asked if Monday, Nov 5th would work for me adding that if the ceiling continued to drip water to just give him a call and he would be out sooner. I agreed and Ty said Keith and Ken would show up Monday morning November 5th between 730 and 8 am. Keith and Ken were here at 732 am. They repaired the leak which turned out to be re caulking the flashing where it met the chimney. Very Friendly and professional. I am extremely pleased - The charge was very fair - much better than expected. They also took care of a few nails that needed hammered down. I would recommend Meredith Home Improvements to anyone.

I was having a problem with two gutters that were overflowing and creating a hazardous ice condition in the winter. The Meredith crew installed a shield in the one gutter to stop it from overflowing onto the steps in front of my house. They also cleaned leaves and dirt out of a gutter at the back of my house where the gutter was overflowing, with the water hitting my kitchen window. This should address the problems I have been having. There was no additional charge for these services. They were very professional and responsive, and I would use this company again for other work on my house.

I called Mike for an estimate in early August, based on a leaking shingle roof on a rental property. Unfortunately, he brought a ladder that was too short, decided it was a simply problem (that he could see from his low ladder), wrote an estimate for $900, and schedule the work. It took a long time to get a crew out (early September), and when they got there, we determined that the entire roof was in grave need of replacement. (This was confirmed by another estimator as well.) So, already 1 month delayed due to their poor planning for estimation, I got Ty's estimate and scheduled the work. His estimate was much better than another company's estimate for the same work. Additionally, I have used Meredith Home Improvement for a large siding job 3 years ago, and I was happy with the quality (at a "B" grade... not perfect, but good enough for a rental property.) Unfortunately, it is now almost November (nearly 3 months after my initial call to Mike), and I still don't have a roof. Every time I talk to Ty (when he returns my calls or emails, which is sometimes, but not all the time), he tells me it's "a couple weeks out." When I signed the contract (for their new estimate) Oct. 2, he told me it would be on the schedule in "2-3 weeks." Now past that point, I have an email in to him, hoping that he can get to my roof, which is leaking, with some very unhappy tenants inside. MORAL: I knew I had a roofing problem on August 5th. I called Meredith Home Improvement. At every juncture, I've given the go-ahead quickly, because I need a new roof. At every juncture, they suggest the work is a couple weeks out. Don't call Meredith if you need work done quickly; despite the fact that they do some things well, quick work just isn't going to happen.

We had two gutters that were leaking and purchased the $99 deal to have $225 worth of repairs done to our gutters. Mike was very responsive and came out to provide an evaluation in advance of doing the work and let me know that the repairs would be covered within the deal that was offered. His team came and performed the repairs within about 10 days of scheduling (it was not a time sensitive project). They seemed to do a very thorough job in performing the repairs as they returned the following day to touch up based on the fact that they had run out of some of their materials the previous day. So far, the gutters seem to now be performing properly. We'll continue to watch the gutters with some expected bad weather over the next week. We're very happy with the service that we received from what we can tell so far.
