All the work was completed in about 11 hours total. The new roofs, gutters and downspouts look beautiful. There was a little confusion the 1st day because the roofers scheduled to replace our roof ran into issues with unexpected rotten wood on a porch roof of a previous clients job. They needed to make repairs to this clients porch roof before starting our job. This was an unforeseen event and as a result the crew didn't arrive the 1st day until late afternoon. I didn't want to start repairs on our home at this late hour because the weather forecast called for rain the next two days and I was concerned. I asked them to start by replacing the garage roof instead which was a smaller job. The crew went to work right away and had the roof removed and replaced within an hour and 1/2. It was amazing. The next day they came at 7:50 am and worked though the day with only one break for lunch. It was pretty hot out. The crew removed the old shingles, installed the new rubber under lining, replaced the shingles, installed a new roof vent, installed a new vent stack for our wood burning stove and removed and installed the new gutters and rain spouts. Including the clean up, the entire job on our home that day was completed in 9 hours. There was an over site concerning the downspout size but when brought to Ty's attention he said it was his fault and they would replace the installed 2 X 3" spouts with the contractor specified 3 X 4" spouts. The parts were ordered and a few days later a crew showed up and replaced this spouts. I was very pleased with the roof replacement and the response I received from Ty. I would hire and recommend this company again for this type of roof and gutter/downspout repair.

They did okay. I didn't climb up the roof and check the work, but I had to just rely on the trust. The guy who came out climbed up there and said the gutters looked pretty bad, which I would expect it too as it was not cleaned for a couple of years. He was honest. The guy who came out for pre-inspection didn't climb up to check the gutter. The price was fair. He did what he was supposed to do.

From the start, Brad went out of his way to give an estimate, and then to get samples out to us. They were priced in the middle, but were the most professional to deal with. Originally we were set to have the job done in 4 - 6 weeks, but due to a cancellation, we were scheduled for 1 week out. The crew was very courteous and professional and worked clean and fast. Any debris that fell and landed in a neighbor's yard was immediately picked up. They finished the job in 2 days, even with some rain. They left the yard pretty much spotless. The final price was actually $500.00 less than the quoted price. The quote was for a double roof removal, but it was actually a single roof. We've had a few downpours now and no problems even the flashing around the chimney, which was a problem for some time.

The job was done well. The company was not always good about returning phone calls.

Meredith Home Improvement were pretty professional. They were a group of young guys, they were pretty punctual, and they worked on probably 5 of the hottest days of the year with no complaints. They just did a good job. I had one leak in a skylight I had and they came immediately out to repair it. Since then I've talked to them about coming out to replace the skylights. They are about 25 years old and I'm thinking I might get those replaced. I left a message last Friday and I got a message back while I was away over the weekend so we're kind of playing phone tag for that estimate. I recommended him to my son and daughter-in-law to replace a roof. Meredith Home Improvement are going to give them an estimate as well.

Ty came to give me a bid on my home back in March/April. He was very professional and "appeared" to have high standards. As with all other perspective companies, I asked how the flashing was applied. Ty replied that they grind out the mortar and bend the flashing into mortar and then caulk it. That was the answer I was looking for and I told him so. As my previous roof had the flashing just laying against the brick and then caulked along the top which is not as durable. The price was in my range, not the cheapest or most expensive, but Meredith Home improvement had very very good A+ ratings on most all work esp. work that was as extensive as mine. They also had an A+ rating with the BBB. I signed the contract on 4/15/13 and Ty informed me they were about 4 weeks back. On 6/1/13 I emailed Ty to check on a start date. He responded soon and then a couple of weeks later he sent an email that they would start on 6/25/ or 6/26. They did not start due to the storms and I was very understanding. On 7/2/13 I received a call from work from my tenant that the roofers were there and needed access to an electrical outlet. This was never conveyed to me by Ty but I gave her direction on letting them in the side/hall to basement door and asked her to relay to lock up when they leave as I worked til 7p that day. Upon returning from work I entered my home to find the air conditioning not working, I have a 15 yr old dog...I also found that the lights were left on in the basement where they used the outlet, the exit door was left unlock and they had tripped a breaker...and never reset it. I then proceeded up to the roof to inspect the work that they did only to find the flashing was done the wrong way...laid flat against the chimney and then caulked in a very sloppy and poor fashion, caulking on the brick but not on the flashing edge, etc. The flashing color was also too light, I had requested a dark gray. I also found damaged / cut shingles placed on my roof, no step flashing around the chimney, nails on top of the shingles, roofing laid over bad wood, and the box gutters that were jumped were just jumped over the hard metal tin lining of the box gutters which is very uneven and the corner of the roof was just attached to the tin lining that was not attached to anything due to bad/missing wood. I phoned and emailed Ty immediately telling him I wanted no further progress on the house until he came the next morning for me to personally go over my concerns. I also informed him that my initially thought was to dismiss him from the job but I decided to give him a chance to correct it. He agreed with the flashing and apologized, apologized for the tripped breaker, agreed the color of the flashing was too light, didn't seem to have a clue about jumping box gutters. But he reassured me they would fix everything and he would call the beginning of next week. I then sent him an email with a list of the problems so that nothing was left uncorrected as well as my expectations and he replied offering to let me go with another contractor. Then on 7/7 he sent an email asking how I want them to proceed which I had already stated in the last email so I reiterated that in my response on 7/7 and I have yet to hear from him. The ugly dumpster and stack of supplies have been left in my front yard. I asked Ty when I went over my concerns who was supervising these workers and Ty stated that he was there 3x that day. Seriously, anyone who would let the caulking and flashing job like that act like nothing was wrong when it was shown to them, I just can't fathom. I asked Ty if that was the way they usually do the flashing and he said yes. I reminded him of what he said at his interview during the bid and he did not respond. I felt that due to the fact that I was a single woman who he assumed knew nothing about roofing, that my house was not in the richest neighborhood, and that the company was just plain greedy to make more money and hire lord knows who to perform it any old way. I don't see where there is a place to upload photos but I sent them to a reliable contractor I found here on Angie's list and he agreed with ALL of my findings. All of them. I am completely appalled as I could have done a better job myself. We were up on the roof and I told Ty that there was no step flashing around the chimney and twice he argued with me that there was....until finally he lifted up the shingles to find what, yep......NO step flashing. I gave an F in all areas as I feel it was nothing but a sham. Nothing but a fake sales pitch.

They came out quickly to scope out the job, and then came back a few days later to complete the repair. They did it even though they said the kind of work I needed was not supposed to be included in the Angie's list "Big Deal." I've had no problems since.

Provider does not do the type of work I required for my roof by still responded quickly to let me know he would not be able to help me.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out great. They worked with me to pick the right schedule and they came and did the work as planned. I didn't pay any additional charges. It was the first time I used them. I thought they were helpful by staying in contact with me about when they were coming and when the schedule was going to be and they did follow up to make sure that everything was done satisfactorily. Everything was fine.

I contacted Meredith Home Improvements to replace my roof after taking a flyer from their booth at the Pittsburgh Home and Garden show. Once I told them what I was interested in doing they sent out a salesman (Brad) who did a great job explaining what needed done, the time frame and duration, and what to expect. Shortly after that we received a detailed estimate with everything spelled out. Once I signed off on that they were able to fit me into the schedule incredibly fast, only a couple of days since they had a reschedule of an existing project. The crew that came out was prompt, professional, courteous, and answered any additional questions I had. They finished the job in 3 days (one day was weather day due to rain) and I was very happy with the results. They cleaned up the work area and reiterated that if I had any problems to call them immediately. As luck would have it, I did have a small leak in a problem area of the roof (very steep pitch plus a valley where to points meet). I called Ty and he scheduled a crew to come out immediately to fix problem. They redid the problem area and everything has been great since. I couldn't recommend this company enough!

I would highly recommend this company. I called 4 different roofing companies for estimates to have my roof replaced. Not only were they the most responsive to all of my inquiries and questions, they also ended up being the least expensive. The work was done quickly and efficiently with a very professional and courteous crew. They replaced 2 sky lights that were in need of replacement. When I did not like how they looked on the inside, they sent another guy out to do finishing work to make them look better. Any issues or concerns I had throughout the entire process were taken care of quickly.

I contacted Ty and Brad and received a fairly prompt response. I received and estimate on 4/05 and the work started and was completed on 05/17 (yes, full roof and gutters in one day). It's a busy time of year for good contractors, so I understand the time between the estimate and work. Brad even met me at my place of work to get the contract signed. I had asked both Brad and Ty if thier crew could take care of a couple of small tasks outside the scope of work and they agreed that it would be no problem. However, one of the task never got performed, as the foreman (Drew) did not know anything about any of these tasks. It was simply straightening out some soffit that had come loose over time and Drew would've taken care of it had he known about it in time, but they had staged the dumpster beneath the area needed straightening and could not get a ladder up to it. Drew stated that someone would come back to fix it, but I haven't heard from anyone. No big deal, I just dont' have a ladder that tall to reach it (at least 30 feet). Doesn't affect the rating, but I did want to mention it, as there could be a communication issue. The crew showed up at 7:00 am and wrapped up around 7:00 pm. We have no compliants at this time, but it hasn'treally been tested with any rain yet. It looks great, though.

They did my neighbor's home first which they had to completely redo, but when they did the service on my home I was satisfied with the work that they did, and how my roof looked.

Brad was our salesman he did a great job commutating with us and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The roofing crew showed up on time was very polite and professional could not have asked for a nicer group of guys. They also answered all my questions. When they were wrapping up the job the supervisor made sure everything was cleaned up and neat. Just before they got in their cars the supervisor asked one of the guys to make one last trip around the house to make sure everything was cleaned up. Would definitely use again!

Once the company actually got here everything was excellent They were on time, installed everything in one day and cleaned up like they had never been here.Workers were very professional. The gutters look and work beautifully. My only complaint was the months it took to get an installation date. I purchased a " big deal" in the fall of 20012 for gutter replacement. Evidently so did everyone else. The company's schedule was backed up. I had to wait til spring and needed to call them as I had been lost in the shuffle.Meanwhile my gutters leaked all winter. As I said once I was on the schedule Meredith company was a delight to work with.

Because of weather delays, the project took quite awhile to complete, but that was not a problem. Eventually, the job was done and we are happy with the results.317

Their price was very good, and Ty was very professional in many respects. The work, once completed, was high quality. However, they didn't finish the job in a timely manner. They came out and did most of the work on one day, and then several months went by before they came out and straightened the gutter as promised. To be fair, some of this delay was because of inclement weather, but this was only a minor factor in the delay. I was very disappointed that this took so long to finish. Once they finally did come out, they did a nice job fixing the gutter and even did a little extra work to compensate me for the long delay. If only they had finished the job quickly I would be able to report being very satisfied with them.

I thought they were the best contractor that we have ever had. They were very professional and stuck to their estimate. The workers were very experienced and worked hard every day. They went above and beyond the call of duty. We had some repairs that other companies could not foresee, but they were able to repair them. They worked around my schedule and were there during hurricane Sandy. They stuck to it during the storm, repaired the leaks that came into the room, and covered the roof with tarp. Ty was very concerned about our wellbeing and offered to put us in a hotel. He was great and very nice! Keith and Kenny, the workers, were excellent and we trusted them. They were very friendly and did a great job. They even came out after the work was done to make sure everything was completed correctly. I highly recommend their services to others and will use them again.
