Ty was great working with, very responsive and quick turn around on work. The finished product looks good and I'm happy with the results. The only thing that wasn't great was that they needed to plug a generator in inside of the house. With wet weather, the floor was messy and there was damage to the door and door knob. I also let a crew member in to use the restroom and they left caulking all over the sink. I reached out to Ty and all of these issues were fixed the next morning so I appreciated the quick response in resolving these issues.

From day one, Meredith Home Improvements were fantastic to work with. Zack came out promptly the week we called and quoted us for the basic work we wanted done, and also additional work that we were considering. At this stage in our project, we had multiple companies giving us quotes for the roof replacement. Since we had several issues with our location (slate roof tear down, house is 3 stories high, house is up on a considerable hill, project would take 3+ days to complete) we had several roofers give us prohibitively expensive quotes, some as much as twice what we were expecting. Ty and Zack gave us a quote right in the ballpark that we were expecting, and although we had one other company in a similar range, we went with Meredith due to their professionalism and punctuality. They scheduled us just over a month out from when we signed the contract, though we were set back from our anticipated start date due to rain. However, Ty kept in very good communication with me during this touch-and-go period, and they were able to get started a few weeks later. The crew did a great job, leaving things in good order after every day of work, and always answering questions when I had them. They worked until the sun went down each day. After 3 and a half days we did a final walk through, and now we have a beautiful new roof. Thank you very much Ty, Zack and the Meredith team!

They gave me a great estimate and was lined up with another contractor I had also got an estimate on. The only reason I didn't go with them was that the company I went with did my neighbors house and they did a superb job so I decided to go with them, since I saw first hand the job they did and how they worked. I would definitely recommend Meredith Home Improvement though.

We called to have Meredith come out and evaluate our roof for leaking around our skylight- Got a voice mailbox and left a message on 6/3/14. My call was promptly returned the next morning, but I was told they only do new installs, not repairs. I give an overall rating of C after seeing the ratings on Angie's list where they have done repairs. The two quotes I received so far have been to replace both of our skylights from other roofing companies that came out on 6/4/14 to evaluate our problem.

Excellent service. They were responsive, accommodating, & professional. The installation-team was courteous and efficient. I am very happy with my new roof.

Meredith Home Improvement did an excellent job replacing our roof. The crew was friendly and professional, the cost came in exactly at the price quoted, and the job was done right on time. The crew took particular care to protect our porch, and left the job site extremely clean after both days of work. They seemed experienced, to have the right tools and, most importantly, to really care about their work. My ONLY caveat to the ratings assigned would be that I only got two quotes. Meredith was substantially cheaper than the other roofer, and Meredith's price seemed quite fair, if not lower than expected. It might be possible to find a cheaper roofer (I really don't know), but I am extremely happy with the quality and value delivered by Meredith. Hopefully I won't need another roof for a long long time, but if I ever did, I would certainly use Meredith again.

The project went smoothly from start to finish. Brad the sales rep. that I dealt with was very helpful , knowledgeable and put any of my hesitations at ease. Drew the crew foreman was very professional and had his roofing crew complete the job in less then two days. The results were magnificent. Needless to say we could not be happier. Did I mention that they will not accept payment until job completion. I had a few small issues that you would have on any project. They came out and addressed them immediately.

The estimate was right in the middle between three other contractors. E-mails were answered promptly and they were the only contractor that did not require a down payment. The crew showed up when they were scheduled and cleaned up everyday before leaving. End of the job cleanup was excellent. I would certainly recommend them.

Ty and his team were excellent from start to finish. They were very responsive both via email and phone which is very important these days with everything going on. Any issue or concern I had was answered or corrected in a timely manner. Ty even installed new finial balls on three roof turrets months after the roof completion date free of charge. Since then I have had some minor issues with freezing and ice and Ty's team was out the same day to fix the problem even though it wasn't their fault. His entire team was very professional and careful of our privacy and cleaned everything up. I would highly recommend Meredith Home Improvement for any work that you may have. Grade A company in my opinion.

The crew was very professional and courteous. They showed up on-time each day and worked until early evening the last day to complete the job. All debris was cleaned up and hauled away to my satisfaction. This is my second experience with Meredith and I would most definitely hire them again.

The men were pleasant and knew what they were to do and how solve any problems. They did a good job.do. I would use them again. They worked when it was cold and sometimes when it was raining and got the job done

Estimator was scheduled in a timely fashion, he showed up on time. Worked up a quote that night and dropped off shingle samples the next day. A few tweaks on final options, but we were happy with the quotation. We had a tentative start date from the office, depending on the weather. This was pushed back to the following week when a firm start date was established by the foreman. The dumpster arrived early that morning, and the crew (2 crews, actually) arrived shortly after. The work was completed that day, and the dumpster picked up the next morning. The crew was very careful with cleanup. We did sweep the driveway and found a few roofing nails, but they could have fallen out of the dumpster -- can't blame the roofers for that. I had some old landscaping timbers that I asked if I could put in the dumpster if there was room left when they were done. They took care of it for me. So far, we're very happy with the service and the results.

Ty worked with us on our schedule. Professional crew of 7. Arrived bright and early. 2 day job. Had two slight problems and they returned and remedied the situation the next working day. Overall pleased with the job. Good crew. Good company, worked with us, did what they said they would do for a reasonable price. I would recommend them. B on quality only because of the amount of caulking around chimney flashing. Unsure how well that will hold up in the long term.

I was very pleased with the outcome. Mike Meredith had great design ideas, and the 3 workers were very professional and did a great job.

From the beginning of contacting Meredith Home Improvements until their completion of the job today (10/10/2013) everything was done above what I would have expected. Brad Little assessed our problems accurately and in a confident manner. This and Angie's List's rating and reviews (and I read them all) had me choose Meredith Home Improvements. The team of Nick, Sam, Drew, Pete and Troy arrived on time and worked nonstop for 2 days. They were efficient and knew what they were doing. Our 31 year old roof was totally replaced with Owen Corning architectural shingles, our back gutter was replaced with a seamless gutter, and our 3 old skylights were replaced with beautiful new Velux skylights. The roof is really nice looking and a good match for our house. Brad came out 2 times to show us shingles so that this important decision was correct. He explained the cost and what was covered. The contract was mailed to us promptly after we could not receive their emails and notified them of this. Their projected date to start work was off by only one week. Not bad considering contractors. They completed the job in 2 days and not the projected 4 since their team worked so seamlessly. The cleanup was wonderful and our shrubbery did not help matters, yet not one word of complaint about that. They also rescued one of our dogs (without being asked) that ran away. (I sound like the ad, but it is true and was appreciated.) I would highly recommend them for roofs, gutters and skylight work.

Awhile ago, we contacted Meredith to redo an outside wall facing our back deck (about 8 X 25 feet). When they came out, i talked with the person about my idea about using brick veneers. He said that was fine and that he would send us an estimate. We never got the estimate until i called about it. At that time, i spoke with someone else, who told me that in fact, they are not able to install brick veneers, but could do vinyl siding or hardy plank. That was frustrating that they discussed the possibility of one thing when they came out, but then claimed later they could not do the work that was initially discussed. We sat on this for awhile, but finally came around to the idea of using hardy plank. we called and emailed them and were strongly leaning toward hiring them for this. However, i could not get them to call me back. after calling several times, i finally heard back. i explained that we would like to go the hardy plank route. We both agreed that they would have to come out to re-look at the job because it had been awhile. That was the last time i heard from them. Now, i understand they are busy, but they could have come out, we could have agreed on the job specs, and they could have told me that they could not start for X amount of weeks or even months. Instead, just silence. I am disappointed because we still need the work done and they were highly rated here on Angie's List.

They were awful. They cancelled on me twice. They did finally showed up the third time and told me they were going to quote me and then I never did get the quote. I never heard back from them at all. I understand contractors get busy for the summer months and everything but it takes 5 minutes to pick up the phone and call me. The first 2 times, they didn't even call to cancel, they just didn't show up and the third time, he finally did make it here. My husband and I were leaving work early to come home and meet him and it was a bit of an inconvenience for us, I wouldn't have mind if he would just show up and give us the quote but on the third time he finally did show up and he promised a quote and we never did get it. They never followed up with a phone call, nothing and of course I never even bothered to call him back but the I thought that's probably how they deal with their customers so I think I wouldn't deal with that company. I just threw their information away but I kept it for a while and I just said forget it and I wouldn't go with them. We actually wanted to have some work done on the outside of our house. We have some storm damage and one of the things that we were looking to do was to have the French door put in to the dining room. There's also some fascia work that needed to be replaced and we basically had an aluminum awning that collapsed under about 2 feet of snow and it slips and broke 2 windows. My husband replaced the smaller window but the fascia board just came out of it and it was just some work we were hoping to get done during the seasonal months while the weather was warmer. He came out and took measurements, he did look at it and promised a quote but he just never got back to us. I didn't like anything about them. They weren't attentive, they didn't return phone calls to let me know that somebody was not coming. I ended up having to call them and they have just a bunch of excuses and things like that. For the first time, I did understood, I think something have come up and they got held up on an appointment or something and I understand that but when they did it the second time and then when they finally did show up the third time and then I never did get the quote. Obviously we weren't too happy with all that, it was a lot of aggravation.

They eventually gave us a quote and the estimate price was about $13,000. The responsiveness was very slow; I am having a hard time getting response from them. They were very professional and described their services very well. I considered them a front runner for the project, but it took a long time to get an estimate. I contacted them for clarification because there was not a lot of detail in their estimate. I just received that clarification a couple of days ago.

I was very happy with my initial contacts with this company and the price that they quoted. Things started to go down hill after I signed my contract. I was contacted by multiple different people with no explanation of their role so I was never sure who I was supposed to contact when I needed something. After I sent in my contract, I waited two weeks for informtion on a next step, and finally followed up with them myself. No one ever contacted me to confirm the start date of the work, but they had at least given me a ballpark and called to tell me that they had equipment issues and work would be delayed. The roofers were nice and completed the job very quickly- even came out on a Sunday to finish the job which I appreciated. They did break some of our lawn decorations and killed our plants, but I kind of expected that. They didn't do a great job of cleanup, leaving nails all over our yard and in our grass driveway which almost gave me a flat tire. My biggest compliant came when they invoiced me- nobody told me that they didn't accept credit cards. This might be standard practice, but as a new home owner, I wasn't aware of it. So, I had to go down to my credit union and get a cash advance on my card to be able to send them a check. I informed them that I had to do this, yet they called me every day wondering when my check was going to be in the mail. It hadn't even been two weeks since the work was completed and I didn't like being hounded at work for payment. So, overall the work itself looks pretty good, it was done quickly, the workers were respectful of us, and they were significantly cheaper than any of the other estimates I obtained. The main drawback/frustration is dealing with their various company contacts and lack of cohesive communication.
