I was extremely impressed with the work that Meredith Home Improvements did on the house and garage. Beginning with my initial phone conversation, everything was handled in a very professional, and yet personal, manner. Their sales rep, Brad, was cordial and punctual, and explained exactly what I could expect if I chose Meredith to do the roof replacement. The laborers arrived right on schedule and did a terrific job removing the old roofs and installing the new. All the debris was put in a dumpster, and taken away right on schedule. Later, when the weather allowed, they came back to vacuum the yards to pick up any nails or other refuse that might have been left behind. The roofs have been on now for over a year, and I have absolutely no complaints about the replacement. The new shingles have enhanced the appearance of the house and garage, and I have had no leaking problems whatsoever. I had a couple of other estimates for the work that were, in fact, lower than what Meredith came in at, but I have no regrets at having chosen Meredith to do this job. I truly believe that, all things considered, it was by far the right choice.

Estimator (Brad) came out promptly and provided great service and communication throughout the project. Pricing was very competitive, and included chimney re-flashing, ice & water shield, and a seal for the box gutter on my rear porch roof. I signed the contract on March 4, and the crew was finished by March 16: super-fast service, and the crew was efficient, friendly, and cleaned up the site thoroughly. Will definitely contact Meredith again for future siding job.

The great value this offer represented put some unexpected pressure on their scheduling due to sales volume and uncooperative weather. It took a bit longer to get started than originally stated. Other than that, this was a great experience. We got exactly what was promised. The job was completed in a very professional manner. The siding is straight and tight with no bulges or waviness. The crew was great. They respected my home and made sure details were attended to properly. The crew supervisor was very knowledgeable of construction in general. He made sure all flashing and caulking was properly done and siding affixed to studs, not just the celotex sheathing my home has. I think this will last even better than the original aluminum siding. He also pointed out some areas of work done by prior contractors that was substandard and advised as to how to resolve those issues economically. Originally, I was very concerned about prepaying a home improvement contractor. I'm sure this is not a good idea normally. However, the confidence I have gained in an Angie's recommendation is significant and Merideth was at the top of their list. So I took a risk and got a reward. A big one! Net of it all is that I got a great job for a significantly discounted price. A rare experience in "this day and age". Thanks Angie, thanks Merideth, and thanks to my great siding crew.

I found Meredith on Angies list, after calling several companies for estimates. Their estimate was slightly higher than some, but less than others. I wanted to be sure I hired a reputable roofing company, because I'm not going up to check the work, and have been burned in the past by inexperienced roofers. Ty was easy to reach throughout the process and Dave handled a small problem that cropped up after the installation. I never had the feeling of being "ripped off" or taken advantage of the way I had been in the past when getting a new roof. They installed shingles that stop ice damning. I'm very pleased with the end result. The roof looks fantastic. If the price seems high it's because it is a very large and steep roof. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ty and Dave, they saw to all the details throughout the process until we were completely satisfied, which is rare in this day and age.

I hired Meredith to install a new roof on my log home. Overall, I was very pleased. They maintained excellent communication during the entire process. Estimator (Brad) was very responsive to my concerns or requests. The pricing was fair and the work professionally done and in a timely fashion. Couldn't be happier and would highly recommend and use again.

Brad provided me with the estimate, and was timely in all of his communications. The breakdown came from the time I signed the contract (Sept 10) until the time the work started. Several weeks went by with no communication - After 3 or 4 weeks - I reached out and asked when my job was to be scheduled. It took me several calls, e-mails, and ongoing follow ups to multiple people before my job was finally scheduled. The frusterating part was the excuses that I received - "we didn't call you because part of our crew is on vacation for a month" - that's all well and good, but it does not excuse poor communication. My job was finally scheduled only after I explained that I wanted to cancel the contract if the job wasn't put on the books by the end of the following business day. I was told that the crew was to get to my home between 7:30 and 8:00 am - it was closer to 9:00 am before they arrived (I guess they got a flat tire) - which I understand - but I did not receive a call to let me know that they would be late. I was waiting for them and almost at the point of calling the office to find out where they were. Again, lack of communication. The crew was professional and curteous while they were here, and were careful to keep the gates closed to make sure to not let the dog out (which I appreciated!). The work was all done in one day like they estimated and looks great - no problems. At one point they did tell me that they were done with the siding, and I went out and noticed a piece that had not been fixed - but once I pointed it out they quickly corrected the problem. I gave them the check when they asked - about an hour before they were finished with the work - and they did not knock on the door or tell me that they were leaving. I would have liked a chance to walk around 1 more time and ensure everything was done before the left, but thankfully it was. They also did a great job cleaning up - you couldn't tell that they were even here. I appreciated that as well. Overall - the estimating and work process went pretty well. My only hang up and reservations was with the scheduling of the work and the overall poor communication.

Meredith Home Improvements responded to my request for an estimate quickly. The salesman arrived when scheduled. He did a thorough evaluation of the project. I received clear answers to all of my questions. The salesman made recommendations which would resolve complex problems. I received immediate follow up. I will use Meredith in the future.

All work completed well. Two man crew installed the roof, siding, gutters, etc in about a week and two days. Very pleased with results. Clean up vehicle was utilized to avoid debris on property. The crew was very hard working and took time to explain the operation.

Everything was good. I was very pleased.

When the technician came out, he criticized some of the other work I had done on the house in the past (wondering who last replaced the roof, who added the third floor), telling me what the other contractors did wrong. He never indicated that it wouldn't be possible for his company to conduct the work. I understand that many contractors have comments about previous contractors' work. But, to then not even get back to me in a timely fashion to say that they couldn't even do the work after telling me that I would get an estimate within a week and then to not return my call or my email when I asked for more details. With the way he talked about other's work, I would have expected a professional and timely heads up that his company would be unable to do the work and an explanation.

This project commenced on Thursday, 08/24/2014 at 7:30 a.m. and was finished on Saturday, 08/26/2014, at approx. 1:00 p.m. Saturday? Yes, I said Saturday! Who works on Saturdays? The good people at Meredith, that's who! The crew began their day at approximately 7:30 a.m. and never left before 7:00 p.m. When the job was concluded, there wasn't even a nail left behind...everything was cleaned and put back in its place. Everyone that we dealt with at Meredith Home Improvements was professional and very helpful. We couldn't be happier with the job done by Meredith and giving Meredith an "A" rating is a no brainer.

From start to finish I could not have been more impressed with Meredith Home Improvements! Brad came to my home and reviewed the issues I was having with my current roof, did an exterior assessment of the roof at which point he informed me he was going to order satellite images to confirm his estimates and would get back to me in a couple days. Within two days I had a bid in my email with an invite to call with any questions. They were running a bid deal on a lifetime warranty roof and though it was not the cheapest bid I received the extra expense made sense for the warranty. Do to continuous bad weather in the region my project was pushed back two days, which I was still impressed with seeing how bad it had been raining over the last couple weeks and I was sure their projects were getting ground to a halt. Upon beginning the project I quickly realized why my project was only pushed back two days. The work ethic of the roofing team was astounding!! The team showed up at my door at 7am and worked until 7pm almost every day! I have never worked with such an amazing group of guys. The project ran over the weekend and they didn't work on Sunday, which I completely agree with, however I received a knock on my door and it was the project manager, I am kicking myself for not remembering his name, he drove an HOUR from home on his day off because it had rained and they hadn't had time to finish the caps on Saturday. He wanted to make sure that the house was water tight. All was well, they tar papered the roof properly and not a drop made it inside! Throughout the entire job the team was completely professional and courteous, making the experience just that much better. They made sure to clean up every night and must have gone over my property with the magnet 20 times. Upon completion Brad came back to my home to ensure that we were happy with the work performed and to ensure we didn't have any further questions. All in all, fantastic experience! If you are thinking about hiring Meredith Home Improvements, HIRE THEM!!!

Mostly happy. - Had to call back for a couple of things wrt the roof but no grief. Note: Roofing is inherently dirty. Expect to find bits of shingle and nails for months afterward, especially if you have a yard or garden around your house's borders (as opposed to pavement). - Originally ordered the wrong size windows; sent back all eight without any hassle. Notable in that they believe in their work so strongly that they don't take any payment until the work is done to your satisfaction. Bottom line: I'd work with them again.

Called the estimate. The office did not give the person our street address, gave him the name of the street but not the number. Eventually he was able to get our street number. Over a week passed and we never received a quote and this was after the email address was confirmed while the person was here.

We arranged for an estimate, the individual came out to our home to discuss options and pricing. We were provided a contract about a week after the meeting, the price was reasonable in comparison to other bids that we received. However, we selected another individual due to the fact that the lifetime warranty on the shingles was not pro-rated. As we did not have a service performed, I cannot speak to the work performed; however I would not have an issue receiving a quote from them for future home improvement work.

From start to finish we could not have dealt with a better company. The estimator Brad was thorough and showed us different materials. He was direct and answered all our questions. When the crew came, on time, they were terrific. Drew was the foreman and the work was done efficiently and with such attention to detail. We have had several home projects done and Meredith definitely gets a five star rating.

Overall good. Crew was professional and clean. I wish I had been told to cover items in the attic--quite a huge mess from putting in the ridge vent.

Applied caulking, problem solved

Wonderful they did everything that we talked about..two workers did the job in awesome timing...Siding and shutters went up..old taken away..very clean work left our property very clean....our home looks amazing.. Everyone we talked to from beginning to end could not have been nicer and very knowledgeable.

They did a really nice job. I was afraid I wouldn't find somebody at the end of summer, because it's kind of late. I called Meredith and they came out and they were able to schedule me by the end of August, which I was really happy, that they could get it in before winter came. They came out and they replaced both roofs. They had it done in like two days. They were quick. They were efficient. They came and put a dumpster down the day before to put all the stuff in. They cleaned up after themselves. I had a little of an issue with the downspouts. They put the wrong size on. I called them and they came out the next day and did that. I did have a problem with the one gutter on the right hand side of the house. It was just pouring off the ends. It took me a little bit of time to get them to come out, but they did come out and they lowered it in the middle so that it started draining properly. I didn't have to pay them for that. They came out and I thought it was good that they were honest about making the repairs. They just didn't string me on for three months and then send me a bill for it. They came out and they took care of it. I was happy about that. They did better than I expected. They were real nice. They even ran around with magnets and cleaned up after them. I thought they were pretty conscientious and the guys they sent, they worked really hard. They took one little break for lunch and then they were back up on the roof. I thought the price was good. I got some other bids and they were a little bit higher, but they were in the neighborhood of what other people had given me bids for the same exact work. I think that we got a quality product. It looked good. They were a little slow when I called them back, but they were much better than I expected when I initially started with them. I thought they were honest. I know it's their busy season and things sometimes get lost in the translation. But I admired the fact that they did come out and they took care of it and they didn't give me a hard time about it.

They called on a Wednesday to tell me they were going to be there on Thursday because we had a few nice days of weather coming up. Aside from the short notice (don't always read my emails), everything went well. A crew of about 8 guys showed up at 8 in the morning and knocked the job out in one day. The shingles are exactly what we wanted and the look really enhances the house. I had to leave while they did the work but my neighbor kept an eye on them and she said they worked continuously and were very courteous.
