What a great, family owned small business! We used Thomas and his team to help move us to a new house in the city. Not only was Thomas professional throughout the process leading up to the move day, but he and his team were very professional and pleasant to deal with during the big move. I wish we knew about Thomas’s company for our other loves as we would have definitely worked with his team. He and his guys are wizard spatial organizers and maximized the amount of belongings in their truck making our move very efficient. Please consider using Thomas and his guys for your next move!

Tom and his team were very professional, easy to reach, and extremely affordable! I got several different quotes, and some were two to three times what I paid Metro Movers. There was no extra charge for moving on a weekend, which other movers had. They brought everything they needed to protect my furniture, and were careful, yet efficient. Definitely the best experience I have had with movers, and would recommend them to anyone!

Metro Moving moved furniture from my mother's house in Elizabeth Township to an assisted living facility in Mt. Lebanon. They were on time, courteous, and professional. The furniture was delivered with no mishaps and carefully placed in the room where designated. I could not be with them when they picked up the furniture or when they delivered it. That says to me that this company is reliable and honest. I highly recommend using Metro Movers and Storage Inc.

Tom Boyd and his crew are all EXTREMELY courteous, professional, and dependable. I sent them to the wrong location initially. They unpacked their equipment then had to put it back on the truck and go to the right place. My fault. I ended up having to move more stuff than I told them initially. They had no problems with it. The day was cold and snowy, and when we got to the storage unit they couldn't get the truck up the driveway to the door, so they had to carry everything from the truck up a gravel snow covered driveway to the garage. They still didn't complain. I expected them to hammer me with the price, but the final cost was so low that I had to give them more than what they asked for!!

They had the whole move completed in about four hours. However, our mattress was damaged when it was dropped going up the stairs. I was present when the mattress was dropped and was relieved no one was hurt. Tom was very resistant to even admit that it was dropped at all. He insisted that mattresses are made to be bounced and folded (they are not). He said he would have to see springs sticking out of it to believe it was damaged and was unwilling to file the insurance claim. He also said that since we didn't purchase additional insurance, we wouldn't be covered for more than $30 or so (the mattress retails at about $1000). However, he never offered us additional insurance, even though I had inquired about what he had to offer before the actual move date. He helped us in a pinch with our last move, and we were very grateful, but after this experience, it has become clear to us that you get what you pay for.
