We are busy working and running around, that we lack the time and energy to take care of our nest...our haven, The place we call home. As a direct response to this, a new business, specifically that of a professional organizer for homes has emerged. On a small scale, becoming organized at home is about getting rid of your clutter and re-organizing your space. On a large scale, being organized is about reducing stress. But it doesn't stop at home, we also help streamline and organize corporate environments. Reducing stress in your home will make your time at home more enjoyable, help you sleep better, and improve your workday. Simply put , if you organize your home, you will not only dramatically improve your home, but more importantly your life.

Jodi was very friendly and professional. She knew right away what needed done and the best way to do it. I would definitely use or service again and would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for help with getting organized.
Description of Work: Due to my not feeling well when she came we decided not to remove anything from where I had it and move things around, so Jodi made some post it notes and put on my kitchen cabinets with suggestions of what she felt would be the best place to store certain items. She did a great job. She came up with great ideas that I never even thought of. I'm very happy with her service. She also told me that when I felt up to starting to organize that I could call or with any questions that I may have.

It all went very smoothly. We discussed each step along the way. I really appreciated her advice on how to make my apartment more spacious looking. She's small but mighty and very easy to work with.
Description of Work: Helped unpack boxes, reorganize furniture, and decide what to keep, donate or throw away. She was very pleasant, thoughtful energetic and helpful.

Jodi is not only personable but professional. She exercises compassion with real tactics to help you get control of your clutter. I was pregnant when I moved into our home three years ago and hadn't had the time or energy to truly set up my home for my family. Jodi helped me organize my home office, the playroom, our basement, my pantry and the garage. She helped me purge boxes of things that had just been taking up space and took the time to understand the emotion of why it may be hard to let go of material things. It used to take me a weekend to clean up my house if we were having guests over, and now I am comfortable having people pop in because I can put things away in minutes. We cleaned out the underbelly of my house so I could have room to organize the things I really use on a daily or weekly basis, and not just shove things in closets. Most importantly, she gave me the tools and a system to make my house function. If you were going on a diet, you would hire a nutritionist who could teach you how to eat healthier. Jodi teaches you how to organize your belongings to make a lifestyle change.

We sat down and talked for about 30 minutes. During that time, Jodi provided a background about herself and the company. She discussed the many ways that her organizing solutions could help the customer. Then, we spent a lot of time walking through each room of the house and talking about various problem areas. Jodi discussed her philosophy of organizing and how her services could help me. We spent the last hour of the visit streamlining project folders and items that were on the desk. Jodi's ideas were very helpful. Jodi is very talented and has good organizational strategies. I would recommend her services.

We misunderstood the service this company was providing. I thought they would help me organize my garage/den by moving various pieces of furniture around but it turned out to be a decorator to help me organize things. That is not what I wanted.

[removed member name] purchased professional organizing services. She was free to check my website to understand exactly what she was purchasing. I drove 40 minutes to her home, showed up on time and was promptly turned away when she realized that I did not show up with 2 moving men. I'm not sure why she expected a professional organizer to be a moving company

Description of Work: My husband died unexpectedly three months ago. He was a data base designer, systems analyst, and computer programmer who kept every manual, motherboard, and minor screw from the early 1980s until the day he left us. After his death, I took over the bill-paying & record-keeping...at least I tried to do so! As it turns out, Richard kept EVERYTHING--papers, computer parts, important documents--in big tangled, dusty,messy piles. I'm sure he knew where everything was--roughly, but I was in trouble. | |Not only were my son & I dealing with our grief, but we also had to make sense of Richard's "system." I finally broke down and joined Angie's List (thank you!)in order to find a reputable professional organizer. I had heard of Jodi Eisner through the grapevine, but the fact that her company was on Angie's List made the choice much easier. | |We are 30 hours into a 40 hour contract. We have divided the house into zones that work for me and my son. Slowly but surely we are gaining a sense of order & control over our lives. Jodi and her crew have been patient and understanding, but have helped me to take action. | |If you contract with Method to the Madness, you must participate in the process. So, do not get into this if you are expecting a "mom" to come in every week and put away your toys for you. You've got to put on your "big kid" pants and get grubby. If, however, you are ready to take back your life, to make some tough decisions, & to trim away the excesses that weigh you down, then Jodi Eisner is an absolutely wonderful coach. | |We will be done with the major paper/bills/household zoning work next week. I will then make another contract with Method to the Madness in order to help me organize my clothing (...uh, I have a little handbag, backpack, briefcase addiction...)and to make sure that everything is ready for us to put this too-large house on the market next spring. | |I am so very grateful to have Jodi and her team in my life--it's a life that they have helped to make calmer, more comfortable, and far less cluttered...sigh...the stress is slowly seeping out...ahhh...

Excellent! I would highly recommend Jodi to anyone looking to make improvements in their homes and in their lives. She is exceptional at what she does. She can quickly assess any situation and recommend a course of action that is life enhancing. I really cant say enough good things about Jodi.
Description of Work: Working with Jodi has been life changing. She is an angel on earth! Virtually every room, closet, and drawer in my home was disorganized and filled with clutter. I was overwhelmed with paper, boxes, all kinds of miscellaneous stuff, and I couldn't move forward. She works with me in a very non-judgemental way to help me let go of non-essential items and reduce the clutter. She helped me establish comprehensive filing systems, and re-organized many drawers, cabinets, closets, and rooms. She is a joy to work with and makes tedious work fun.

Excellent. She really knows how to organize. Her team is excellent as well. She has great ideas, things I never thought of.
Description of Work: Jodi and her team unpacked us after a move and organized several rooms. She called back right away and rearranged her schedule so she could come by for a free estimate. She was very professional. Her work is excellent. She works with a team and everyone did a great job. We had probably over 40 boxes to get through and they made it easy. I will hire her again in a few weeks to do more specific organizing.

I'm a working mom with three kids and recently diagnosed ADHD and lots of stuff. After the initial consultation ($150), I hired Jodi for 30 hours ($1350 or $45/hr). Prices vary from $45-60/hr based on hours paid ahead. The cost seems crazy at first glance, but the process of dedicating a block of time to a project and completing a room inside of 6 hours was something I could never do myself. It was hands-on therapy to get my house back under control, and decrease the stress in the house to make the family function better. It was money very well spent for me. It was like having my sister come and help me. Jodi is easy to work with and pushes just enough to make me realize that I don't need to keep what I don't use. Every room was streamlined. She coached me on what would work for me, considering my personality and ADHD (her social worker background comes through)! She requently reviewed how to keep up and use the systems we put in place. After we organized my daughters' room, Jodi helped me decorate and even donated some items to the girls. She's focused, generous and is a hard worker.
Description of Work: Formulates plan, organization coaching, motivation, creating systems to improve function, simplifies environment, defines zones in rooms and house, physical work of tearing things apart and putting them back together while purging excess (donating, tossing, removing things that don't belong), general cleaning during project, decorating advice, space planning, brought lunch each day, takes "donate bags" to donation center, even helped me with a discipline system for the kids. We worked 6 hours each day on a specific room (kitchen, living room, office/filing, kid's bedroom, basement/laundry) for 1 or 2 days a week for about a month.
