Mertz Plumbing & Heating

This is a family owned business. Mr. Mertz rapidly diagnosed my plumbing problem and fixed it quickly and cheaply. Highly recommend them.

Eric W. was knowledgeable and professional and immediately went to work assessing and fixing the problem. Very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him and Matt Mertz Plumbing for any/all plumbing issues!

It didn't. The did not show up for the scheduled appointment, nor did they have the courtesy to call and tell me that they could not make it.

I called them on short notice as was in the middle of remediating a water and black mold issue and needed a sewage pipe moved and replaced ASAP. Not only were they able to fit the project into their schedule, they did it in the middle of the winter, finished it early and came in under estimate. That is right, under estimate, but I would expect nothing less from Mertz Plumbing & Heating having used their services for years.

Excellent. The plumber unclogged the drain and by adding a vent vastly improved the draining. He also removed a piece of copper pipe inside the plastic drain line that apparently caused the clog. The only negative was that the plumber didn't arrive until around 7 pm. He was promised to come in the afternoon and I received no call about him being late. (I assumed he wasn't coming.) When he arrived, he said it was a bigger job than he could do that night and so he returned the next day. (Though I was scheduled for 10 am - 2 pm, he was kind enough to call to say it would be after 12:30 pm so that I could keep a scheduled event I thought I would have to miss.) The results were so good, I did not mind the small delay. The sink now drains far better than ever.

Jim B was excellent in searching for any possible causes and thoroughly explained what was causing the odor. First, Jim B did a thorough inspection of gas lines, and all components both upstairs and downstairs where the connections to the gas line are located. He was respectful of my home, wearing booties and arrived even earlier than anticipated. I really learned a lot about gas heat from him and what it actually smells like. He asked me to open and close the door to that room and describe what the smell was like. (as compared to the odor of my gas cook top) Ultimately, he disovered that the foul odor was from the glass rocks in the fireplace, breaking down and melting. Thank you for having such a knowledgeable employee! He answered all of my questions and concerns and was very patient with me. Will ask for him specifically whenever I have any additional issues and concerns at my home.

I have been longing to find a local company that I can trust. I sure have found it with BOB MERTZ Plumbing. They will go out of their way to serve you. Prices reasonable. Honest & reliable. Prompt service. Extremely pleased with cleanliness during & after. I would HIGHLY recommend this company---you will not regret it !!

They were quick. Their price wasn't out of line as far as their actual cost. I priced the water heater wholesale versus their casts for the water heater plus instillation and it was reasonable. They did a good job. They actually came early. I have a regular plumber, so I kind of called them when he was on vacation, but that's not their fault. They were responsive and reasonable with the rate, so that's about all you can hope for with a plumber.

Did an excellent job repairing our problems. Since he regulated our water pressure, the water flow during showering is so much better. I asked him a number of questions regarding gutters and he gave me excellent advice. I will definitely call on them again for any plumbing needs.

It was good. They came out and fix it. The price was good, the biggest thing was they came immediately which is what we needed because we had flood in the basement and they came out to figure out what it was. It was better than what I expected.

Beautiful job, solder all over the floor- which my dog found before I did. I didn't know if I had a "talk or short" in place...i described it, took photos & emailed to the address given-got home & I have this MASSIVE dark gray water heater in the cellar & several hundred dollars increase in what I was quoted-didn't they look at the photos? Why did I waste my time emailing them the photos? I have used them in the past for drain issues & they were fantastic, I am NOT happy about this job.

Rory was on time, knowledgeable, performed work in a timely manner and cleaned up afterwards.

They are confident ,punctual and professional. If we had a emergency they come out quickly.

Adam did an excellent job. I was so pleased with the work and the friendliness of the plumber.

Their representative quoted 20,000 dollars for the job, claimed entire basement needed to be ripped up, he tried to bilk the homeowners insurance for this, ended up being a simple 1,750 plumbing job when the other team from th esame company got here

I've used them for years. I've known them all my live. They are a local company, that does extremely good work at a reasonable price.

Upon calling Mertz Plumbing, I was able to get an appointment within a day or so. Mr. Mertz called the night before to confirm our appointment and their serviceman was on time. He assessed the jobs and was confident he could repair them without any trouble. He had the correct parts needed to repair the faucet, even though the faucet was about 40 years old. He explained what he did to make the repairs and both jobs were completed to my husband's and my satisfaction. It took a little over 2 hours to do both jobs and I felt the price charged was very fair. I will be calling them in the future for any other plumbing issues that may arise.

His work is good. There were a couple of issues. When he does the work it's fantastic.

after a very satisfactory repair of three toilets, we had to call Rory back because one of the toilets began to "run" again after the tank had filled up. although the problem was not part of the original repair job (to the flush seal), Rory and Mertz repaired and replaced the flush valve with a new one, free of charge. We were and are very impressed with Mertz and with Rory, and how Mertz stands behind its work.

Crew arrived on time & went right to work. It took about 1/2 hour to finish the job. They explained what they did and suggested using Root-X every so often to help keep the roots from growing too fast. My bill was written up and they departed. Very happy with service,

Mr.Mertz had all of the materials to cut broken copper pipe and replace. He also had spare hardware on his truck for faucet valve. Made adjustments to toilet hardware to eliminate leak in tank. Very efficient and thorough.
