Excellent!!!! However when trying to reach him again for another job getting him to return our calls and schedule a time became difficult enough for us to have to hire another electrician for the job.

We are in a house approx. 110 yrs. old. some of the outlets needed to be updated. We called Mendelson. He was on time. We walked the house checking the outlets to decide which ones to replace. He replaced the chosen ones quickly and professionally. He also checked the electricity available to the front doorbell. Mr. Mendelson was friendly, very knowledgeable on the needs of an old house. WE will be calling him for additional work.

Having used Mendelson Electric in the past, on August 14, 2013, I checked Angie's List, followed the link to the Mendelson site, and sent Marc Mendelson an e-mail explaining that I needed a kitchen light fixture replaced and a light switch repaired. He replied by e-mail that evening, stating that he would call me the following day. No call was forthcoming, and, notwithstanding a couple of e-mails from Marc in ensuing weeks, to all of which I replied, averring that either he or or one of his crew would contact me and then come to my house to perform the requested work, contact was not made, nor did he or any of his employees ever appear at my house. Interspersed amongst the e-mails were phone calls to Marc, all unanswered, inquiring as to the status of my request. Then, on Labor Day, i.e., 2 1/2 weeks after my initial e-mail, he left a message on my machine, perhaps anticipating that no one would be home on a holiday, stating that he was now prepared to perform the requested work and leaving a phone number at which he could be contacted. I called that evening and left a message that he could contact me telephonically at any time and we could arrange an appointment. This message, like others, having received no response, it is now September 15, over month since the original contact, and I am thoroughly disappointed, frustrated, and disgusted. On the basis of this experience, I must give Mendelson Electric a failing grade and urge potential customers to beware of empty promises emanating from Marc Mendelson.

I had an excellent interaction with them. We have used them on several occasions, including major renovations that we have done in our kitchen. They responded quite quickly to our service call needs. We have used them on several occasions and we have always been very satisfied with their service. They were professional and highly competent. Easy repairs were delivered as promised. I have always been happy with their service and I have paid what they have asked for.

Making appointment was easy. Morning after phone call he came out. Fortunately he had proper switch on the truck and repalcement took about half hour. I will call him again when I am ready to hard wire some lighting in my basement office. Nice young man.

Everything went very well on all my jobs. 100% Satisfied. Arrives on time for work. I have been working with Mendelson Electric for over 10 years and they always get the job done right. They arrive early and work hard the entire time. Very personable, responsible and dedicated.

Every project that Mendelson Electric has done for me has gone extremely well. They provide meticulous attention to every detail. Mark and his crew are respectful, polite and extremely careful with regard to cleanliness as well as protecting flooring and furniture,etc. They have always been receptive to the my ideas, and are willing to do whatever possible to complete the projects with a high regard for safety and aesthetic appeal. Old homes usually present many challenges for electricians as well as for others in different disciplines. In my opinion, Mendelson Electric has an incredibly high level of expertise with this type of work. It is also my opinion that this type of electrical work can be the most challenging. I have always been particular about the way that I like to have things done and they do not find that to be unusual or intimidating. Excellent in all respects!

Their work was outstanding. I live in an old house, which can (and does) present a lot of challenges to contractors generally. Mendelson electric workers were very efficient and careful in their work. For example, I wanted a ceiling fan installed in a living room where there was no pre-existing power. Mendelson was very careful to minimize any damage to walls or ceiling for the installation (holes had to be drilled). On all the fans, they very carefully measured prior to installation to ensure that the fans were centered, and they assembled the fans so that they worked perfectly, without wobble. While working in the attic, they pointed out to me some shoddy electrical work that had been done by the previous owner (tangled and frayed wires). They were able to correct the problem very inexpensively. They cleaned up the entire job site and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. I found the company to be honest and experienced and I would not hesitate to use them again.

His men were prompt, and the job site was kept very clean, as with all other jobs he has performed for us. All work passed code at first inspection. Mr. Mendelson was either working on the job site with his men everyday or, at a minimum, attended the job site everyday to monitor progress and check work. He always took the time to consult us for our opinion prior to pushing forward with something. He respected both my husband's and my opinion on placement of switches, lights, etc. and general aesthetics. In addition, he and his men interacted well with, and were very well-liked by our contractor's staff. He and his staff were (always have been) very cordial and friendly to our children and pets. We enjoy Marc's quiet nature, thoughtfulness and attention to detail. When the electrical was finished and his team had moved on, I had to call Marc regarding arrival of a switch that we had been waiting on for over a year. He installed it the very next day for us!

The contractor was a no show/no call for the first appointment. He showed up for a second appointment, but did not provide an estimate and has not called (this was over 2 months ago). A phone call to him was not returned. Our job was held up because we were waiting for his estimate. We have finally given up and gone with a different company. Mr. Mendelson, returning calls is polite and professional, regardless of if you are interested in the job or not.

We had an appointment scheduled for 7-7-06 at 5:30 pm. He called in the afternoon to ask if he could come earlier, which was fine. However, he did not come early & instead didn't arrive until nearly 7:00 pm. He was difficult to communicate with & conveyed that he did not approve of our lighting plans (locations, types, etc.). He also did not approve of our plan to upgrade the service panel from 100 to 150 amps. A 100 amp panel is serving a 3 story, 11 room house & is currently overloaded. It cannot support the new wiring in the 3rd floor, but he was in favor of further overloading it by doubling up the circuit breakers (it already has several mini-breakers, he wanted to add more). He said he would mail our estimate within one week. We decided that night not to use him, but we still expected to receive the promised estimate. It has been one month & I have left several messages at both of his numbers, all not returned. We still have not received an estimate. What a waste of time!

I feel I was overcharged. He originally charged me $700.
