I received my annual High efficiency boiler checkup. Everything appeared to be running as expected. The Condensate pump was turning on and off regularly. A follow-up call was needed because the pump was running in half minute intervals. The contractor returned the next day and it was determined that the condensation pump was not working correctly. I decided to replace it. Temperatures will be dropping soon and everything seems to be ok.

McVay's came out and did a two day sewer repair job for me. It could not have gone any better. They even moved the cast cement steps and handrail from the front and put it all back when they were done. Well done Mark, Austin, Jordan, Steve, Mike and Tyler. Whom ever moved the steps is a master at what he does. Did not believe it could be done! Thanks again McVays!!!

McVay Plumbing is honest and provides timely service in a very professional manner with a truly fair price. They are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me. Here's what happened: After having a clogged toilet (only one in the house) sewer line on Thursday evening 5/8/2020, we called various plumbers. Gillece plumbing arrived Friday afternoon, gave a quote of $800.00 and sent a technician Saturday. Then they told us we had a broken pipe under the concrete floor and it would cost $5100.00 more to jackhammer the floor and repair it. We threw them out and contacted McVay, who sent their plumber (Devon) who snaked and inspected the pipe and found NO broken pipe, only a "soft" clog. It was remediated for $275.00. There you have it. Trust McVay! James H. May 13, 2020

McVay Plumbing was excellent to work with. Great experience with the people from the office who were helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I don't think anyone ever wants to need a plumber three times in one week (particularly when two of the jobs are large scale, and one of the problems was causing significant damage), but we were happy to have an expert in the field assisting us in resolving all of these issues. The large jobs (sewer line repair, gas line repair) were scheduled quickly, which was very important to us due to closing on our former house. The people in the office knew a lot about the process for lateral/dye testing in my municipality and had contacts at the water company which helped to expedite the process. Everything went smoothly in the repair of the sewer line and re-inspection as well, and there was good communication throughout. When we found ourselves in a bad situation at our NEW house (with a sewage back-up) on a Sunday, Mike was able to get us someone from his team to come out ASAP to resolve that issue as well. He even offered to connect us to another plumber in the area if they'd be able to make it out to us faster than he could, due to the type of issue/water damage involved. I appreciated that kind of honesty, though in the end McVay was able to come soonest anyway. I would definitely use their services again and would highly recommend them.

Mike from McVay was amazing! He came out quickly, camera'd our line, saw the issue, and even camera'd the neighbors line to be sure their's didn't join ours. Once that was done, he wasn't going to get to me for several weeks, but pushed us up on the schedule as he was concerned about the pipe clogging again. He did have to reschedule us once, but it wasn't an issue. This is a very busy company! The day of the repair, Mike and his crew were here, performed the job without incident, and we are good to go! Very professional, the entire crew were working hard, and very nice people. Not only that but his service included spreading topsoil and grass seed to finish up. I don't have to worry about this anymore! Thanks so much Mike!

McVay was very honest with what actually needed to be done with my sewer line and what would actually be worth the money and did not try to up-sell me on unnecessary repairs. They were prompt and professional and a pleasure to work with.

Gillece quoted me at $11,000 + for a job that McVay said we didn't actually need and if we did, it would cost about $1500. McVay installed a seal on our house trap for $350. Would highly recommend!

The tech did a great job locating the meter and neatly cutting in all the plumbing. But he did not have all the fittings and had to go out for them. In the end he still could not use the union fittings that came with the meter so it is permanently soldered in place and pipes will need to be cut if the meter ever needs to be replaced.

We use them all the time, they are the only ones we use. They are quick, very responsive, call you back immediately if they are not there, come within 24 hours, tell you everything that is wrong and what you should and should not do going forward to prevent future issues. It took about 15 minutes. Consistently do a good job and are very responsive more then anything else.

The estimate was free, and he camera-inspected the line without charge, unlike other companies. They came on time, did all the work in 1 1/2 days, restored the area. Very reasonably priced and professional. We had a french drain in the area that had to be dug up, and they separated the gravel and dirt, replaced the pipe and restored the drain. No extra charge for this either. I recommend McVay plumbing for sewer line repair/relining.

He backhoed a ten foot deep hole in our yard, put down the OSHA required shoring, removed a few feet of the old sewer line, used the epoxy based liner to line the old line, installed stand pipe and cleanout points, filled up the hole, tamped it down firm, spread grass seed and mulch to repair the damaged areas of the lawn. All good. He did what he said when he said it would be done. Price was as bid. He knew the local sewer guys and took care of all the coordination with the inspectors.

I thought Mike was great- we were trying to get the work done before we close; we were selling that house. There was so much ice and snow for the past couple of weeks that he had to reschedule a few times and he was able to move his calender around because he knew that we were closing- I feel that was the best thing about him. When he came, they did the work and cleaned up after themselves and I barely knew they were there. He was excellent. I would definitely use him again.

My main sewer line had backup into the basement. I called a different company to clean out the line and they got things flowing, but told me I would need a plumber to replace the main trap. I called my main plumber and he said he did not do this type of work and recommended McVay. The owner, Mike McVay, came out early on Saturday as promised, but could not give me an estimate, because the line was clogged again. He quoted $150 to clean out and run a camera through the line. He suggested I call the first company and see if the original company could come out and reopen the line before paying him $150. The first company came back later in the day and got the line open again. Mike came back later on Saturday and tried running a camera through the line, but it got stuck in the trap. He quoted $975 to replace the trap and then run a camera through the remainder of the sewer line. He said he could do the work on Tuesday. I told him I wanted to think about it overnight, since I was expecting another company to also give me a quote. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call when I made up my mind. I called early Sunday and told him I would like him to do the work. He was fishing at the time and said he would get back to me. When we finally talked Monday he wasn't sure if he could get to it Tuesday. However they were able to get to me on Tuesday and they came out and did the work in a few hours. He ran a camera down the main line and said that I did not need any additional work.

He poured two buckets of water down the drain and the water drained properly so he didn't think there was an issue. We had a backed up drain in the floor of our basement. We have a septic system and lots of plummers won't even touch it. There was water and fecal matter all over the floor. I needed to fix my sewer line to sell my home. I got price quotes from various people for both the traditional method of digging the entire line and replacing it, and the newer process of re-lining the sewer pipe. Digging would have required removing a portion of a concrete driveway. I called McVay Plumbing to give me an estimate for re-lining the sewer line. His price was very competitive. He took care of notifying the utility companies that work was to be done, obtained permits, showed up and performed the work on the days he told me he would be there, met the borough inspector to check the work, filed all the appropriate forms, and put all of my bushes and plants back where they were. The job came in at the price he quoted. I would highly recommend McVay Plumbing!
