MARKETABLE SERVICES

Seemed ok, but by Fall of 2013, basement door paint peeled and curled off down to metal. I called Mark Sapp (the painter) who told me he would come fix it when the weather warmed up. Mark did not call back and in May 2014 we contacted him. He told us he would come by, on a rainy day, and take care of it. I again reminded him that he needed to prep and prime the door and that painting it on a rainy day (presumably when he could not work on other jobs) made no sense. At that point, he disavowed any responsibility for the paint problem and said he could not absorb the cost and that it was not caused by him (based on his many years of painting). We would have to pay him to fix the problem. We told him the door had no peeling or curling paint anytime prior to his crew painting (other vendors visiting our home for service work since the paint peeling began have commented that the door was not properly primed for it to peel off in this manner). We told Mark that if we had to pay to repaint the door we would hire someone else which is what we are doing.
