Made an appointment for an estimate. Didn't show up, didn't call... Waste of my time.

Nice salesman. From start to finish it took maybe three weeks for completion. Workman came w/o notifying to drill & cement in the partial railing. Looks nice.

We're very impressed with the work. You can't tell the difference between the 50-year old railings and the new ones, it's a perfect match.

Excellent, the rails are just beautiful. I'm really well pleased. They didn't stop until they got it complete and got it all done in one day.

Lux Ornamental was very responsive from scheduling the appointment (when I was off work), giving me a detailed explanation of the job and the estimate, to completion of the job. They actually had a cancellation and was able to install earlier than expected. They fabricated the railing to match the existing wrought iron railing on my porch for a seamless look. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that they only apply a primer coat so it's up to me to paint it with a final coat of rust-resistant paint. They aren't the cheapest, but they do quality work.

Had come to give me a price for security bars for three Windows. Changed the price three times during the course of our conversations and did not return calls.

Overall Great price compared to other estimates I received. I feel the difference in design was not worth the additional money stated from another company. I read this in another review but the top rail is a U-Channel that is tack welded to the up-right spindles, instead of a solid piece of iron. Some people may not like this. What I did like is everything was dipped so the primer was actually thru the whole railing to prevent rust. The 2 guys who installed where very professional and touched up the railings after installation. They even were able to address my concerns as I wanted my railing slightly lower to the ground than suggested height. The only negative was my installation date was suppose to be on a Friday but ended up on a Monday due to a miss-communication.

We got a new railing for back steps and another smaller one for side steps. They came out and measured, then installed three weeks later.

Excellent!. Lux Ornamental rep came out as promised to evaluate the job. We talked about options in installing wrought iron railing in stone/slate steps. Prior to Lux, two other vendors came and were very discouraging about the installment difficulties and refused to take the job. Lux, went the extra mile, never said they couldn't do it, and worked out a solution, immediately sent a quote, and about three weeks later they were here with my beautiful railing. Installation took maybe about an hour. They cleaned up and they out of here. Experience was very satisfying and and quot;smooth as butterand quot;. Five stars, Five Diamonds!!!

company rep came and discussed railing type, measured for railing and gave price. After contract was signed and mailed in with deposit railing was made, when finished company called and installed railing with no problems.

The only complaint I have is that a few pieces are U-channel, and I expected them to be solid iron. I did not clarify my expectations, so I can't blame Lux; however, I know to be more specific for future orders.

This provider had many styles of railings, very nice, but did not finish the rails, we would have had to paint ourselves, so we went with a vendor that painted too

The whole process took about 4 weeks from the time the contract was signed and deposit made to the installation of the railings. It could have been a little sooner, but we needed to paint the trim on the stairs first. The two gentlemen who came to install the railings were on time and pleasant. They got right to work taking down the old handrail and installing all the new railings. They cleaned up after themselves as they made drill holes. The process was completed in a timely manner with no problems. The railings were made as specified in the initial estimate and look great. We are satisfied so far and anticipate no problems.

Fantastic all around. Called for an estimate, and they came out the same day, within hours. We actually had them do an estimate three years ago, but couldn't afford it at the time. This latest estimate was actually about $75 cheaper! They were very helpful while we considered different options, and once we finally chose a style we liked, they only took about 10 days to make it. They removed the old railing and installed the new in about an hour. Amazing. Excellent craftsmanship. Highly recommended.

We are still in the process of receiving estimates but, this company was very quick in response to our call and went to the location quickly to give us an estimate.

a Bob at Lux was punctual and courteous. He did the work when he said he would and changed his schedule to accomodate me after I was able to get the rail sandblasted and powder coated faster than expected. The repaired railing looks beautiful and is more securely attached than it was originally.

An estimate from another company to have a vinyl railing installed was over $4,000. I called Lux for an estimate for a wrought iron railing. The salesman came when he said he would. The price was reasonable - $1100. The installers came earlier than expected and installed the railing in a few hours. I'm satisfied with its appearance and functionality.

Very responsive, came and gave and estimate quickly, performed the work within a week of receiving my deposit.

I have a rod iron fence that goes all along the front walk and then down the side of the house. A 6 foot area must have been a bit loose and the deer knocked it over. The rail had been not only attacked to the rest of the railing, but also a post. Anyone walking up the stairs would have missed seeing the missing railing. I called Lux Ornamental Iron Works to see if they could do the job of attaching the railing back together and also attach it back onto the post. The job wasn't big but not having it fixed was dangerous. The company came right out and looked over the job and we agreed on the price. Two days later I looked out and saw two men welding the fence back into place. They worked quickly and they were gone. When I went out to see the work, I was delighted. Not only did they do a great job welding it all back together, but they painted the area the same color as the rest of the railing. They also gave the post some paint so that it would all blend. I will use this company again. VERY PROFESSIONAL! I am very please with the work. Thank you Lux Iron Works for a job well done.

Gentleman came at appointed time and took measurements. Called later that day (as promised) to give estimates over the phone. Estimates came to $540 for both jobs. That was substantially more than our lowest estimate and was a fair amount higher than our middle estimate. That, and a few negative reviews amongst the huge number of "A" reviews on Angie's List - caused us to go with another railing contractor. (Presumably, Lux would have provided a written quote had we indicated we would use their services.)

They provided a timely estimate and completed the installation on tight time frame exactly as promised. The quality of the railings is excellent and the installation is perfect. They cleaned up spotlessly and left no debris.

They came right away. They measured the window. They fabricated the guard and came back and installed the window guard. They completed the job as soon as possible. They performed the work quickly and cleaned up well. It was a good experience.

I called Lux and the next day someone came out to measure the area. The following day they called with a quote. Their quote was the best price, but I went with another company only because I was able to sit down with them and look at pictures of the front of the house and samples in their shop. I got to decide what I would get and how it would be installed.
