We were selling our 100+ year old house which comes with a lot of added effort to get the house up to today's standards, while keeping the old time character in tact. Jared was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with things we could do to increase the value of the house, and seemed to have a lot of experience with older Victorian homes, such as ours. The pictures he took to present online were extremely impressive and made us realize how truly unique & beautiful our home was. We were skeptical at his suggested list price initially as we were convinced there is no way our house is worth that much, however by the 3rd viewing we received an offer at full asking price. He kept us informed throughout every step of the process and did a fantastic job keeping our stress levels at bay. During this same time, we were also searching for our "forever', home. We gave him a handful of wants/needs and he presented us with several options in each neighborhood requested. During our visits he gave us positives and negatives about each neighborhood without trying to steer us in any particular direction. He made us aware of red flags to look for during our search and pointed out things we would have never realized (being a younger couple, novice to real estate). The process felt like it was mentoring in real estate rather than any sort of sales tactics. When we finally chose a home and put a bid in, we were outbid by another couple and thought we lost a house we really loved as it was out of our price range. Evidently, he kept up to date with the transaction of the 'winning' bid, and notified us immediately when that house was back on the market as an issue arouse between the buyer/seller. Because of his awareness and responsiveness, we were able to jump back in the bidding process and ended up getting our forever home. During the negotiation process he was able to get the final sale price of our new home much lower than asking price, and was also able to get several updates done to the house. Per request, he was able to get the buyer of our initial house, and the seller to the new house to push the moving date up in order to accommodate for our planned vacation. Jared went above and beyond during the entire process and I would recommend him to anyone buying or selling a home.
