Patrick and crew did an excellent job cutting back several years of overgrowth.They trimmed overgrown hedges and removed dead shrubs.and trimmed branches over my driveway. Everything was hauled away,including old flower pots and misc yard debris. The guys blowed out all areas including driveway and street!!! They were wonderful and I will definitely use them for several other landscaping projects.

An approximately 110-120 ft. hillside of honeysuckle behind my home had been landscaped 3 years ago with pine trees, viburnum bushes and burning bushes surrounded by mulch. I was looking for something both aesthetically pleasing and low maintenance. That particular landscaper assured me it would be "maintenance free". I learned that "maintenance free" meant weeds growing in the mulch all the time. The hillside is fairly steep in some parts and that paired with getting older does not enable me to climb around the hillside pulling weeds and if I sprayed a weed killer it could soak though the mulch into the plants so I had to do something. Patrick, Ken and their crew replaced the mulch with river rock and trimmed the shrubs on that hillside plus cleaned up another smaller area of an old holly bush that had died the previous winter and put down new weed barrier and river rock. If was a mixture of medium and large river rock so when one of the early loads came in with small pebbles (much smaller than I was expecting) he immediately notified the stone company that he needed a different ratio with bigger 'medium' rock and more larger rock which resulted in a much better look. The results were fantastic!! Patrick was a good communicator and always kept me informed of what was happening with the job. It took a few weeks but that was due to weather and unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. They finished the job and told me that if I wasn't satisfied for any reason or if any problems occurred to call them right away. About 1-2 weeks after they were finished I noticed two small areas where the rock had slid down the hill leaving a bare spot. They were there within a week adding more rock to cover the bare spots. They are very nice, polite young gentlemen and I would highly recommend them for any landscaping job....big or small.

Patrick was professional and very pleasant to deal with. He communicated clearly and did what I wanted as we had agreed. The first workday was rainy, but he and his assistant worked through it. His price was fair, and he is doing the right things to build a successful business.

Patrick arrived on the preset day and rototilled a 6x50 garden area for my blueberry bushes. He then laid down railroad ties as a border. He was diligent and worked hard to finish the job quickly. He made five separate passes to ensure the soil would be well aerated and tilled. He even planted grass seed along the border to clean up the job. I was very impressed. He's also just a very nice and pleasant guy to work with. Highly recommend.

Patrick and Ken have been doing our lawn for the past summer. That includes mowing, edging and weed-eating. They come when scheduled and we have never had any problem with the work. They usually work as a pair so the job gets completed quickly. Besides the lawn care they have also done stump removal for us and we are currently planning a French Drain project with them. These guys are easy to deal with and always seem willing to work with your schedule. It might not not matter to some folks, but they are are also very kind to my son. My son loves to watch them work and they have let him come check out the tools/mowers on their trailer which is a nice touch for a parent.

I initially scheduled mulch removal and replacement along with one or two shrub removals. About 1 week before my scheduled work I requested a change in scheduling date as well as additional work. Local Roots was extremely accommodating in this request; and were able to perform the additional work within the time frame requested. They were extremely professional and wanted to ensure that all work was performed to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them for any landscaping project.

Patrick and Kenneth are hard-working, eager young men who were punctual, professional and cooperative. They completed the work we wanted in a timely manner. The groundcover that they planted did not survive, and Patrick returned this spring with more plants and replanted the entire area, with more individual plantings than before, at no charge. It has been a pleasure doing business with them and I would hire them again if we needed more work done.

Patrick and Ken have been cutting my lawn for 2 summers now. They have done a great job and I'm pleased with their work. They mow and trim the lawn once a week from about April to October (depending on weather). They usually cut on the same day of each week unless it rains, then they cut the next day. They are reliable, and provide both a weekly printed invoice and a monthly e-mailed invoice. In addition to lawn trimming, Patrick helped us out with sanding and painting a side porch, painting a gas pipe, and both he and Ken relaid some stone steps that led down a slope in our back yard. We are happy with the results of all of these extra projects. I would absolutely consider calling them to help out with any projects that were too big for us to handle on our own. One thing that stands out to me with their service is how responsive they have been to communication. I've contacted them by phone and e-mail and they have always responded promptly. For just this reason alone I would highly recommend this company.
