LACHINA DRAPERY

Very poorly, I’ve spent thousands of dollars and my custom drapes are laughable. I shiner have paid for them until they made them right. I’ve waited over a month and no one has come out. Go elsewhere.

Go with Lachina if you want to wait months to hear the blinds you ordered were discontinued, then wait a few more months to find out the factory, "automatically cancelled your order." You can call over and over and get a different excuse each time. Just don't expect a call back or someone with a pulse.

Had interior decorator come out going on a month now. The company then turned around and had a gentleman measure our windows which was three weeks ago and have not heard from this company . They did deposit half the check we gave them and of this morning called the company and said the interior decorator and the measuring gentlemen need to talk but this is been a month and very very upset with the process

Was told 8 weeks for delivery. After 12 weeks with no updates, my wife called to ask about our order status. The woman who responded was extremely rude and insulting to her, and on top of that she didn't even resolve the situation. At 14 weeks, with still no progress on our order, and after I'd made multiple attempts to contact the business this time (no way my wife was willing to call anymore), I left a message with secretary cancelling our order and forgoing our deposit. There are businesses more deserving of your money out there - I cannot in good conscience recommend Lachina. They definitely don't seem to value paying customers!

Awful experience. Replacing blinds that were broken with exact same thing, sizes printed right on the blinds but the inept help ordered the wrong size more than once. Also forgot to place orders, further delaying deliver. Start to finish was over 7 months. Terrible follow up, did not call when they said they would. Some of the most unintelligent people I have ever dealt with.

The sheers were beautiful. Just make sure you know up-front that there is an installation fee. I was not told this at time of purchase and my new sheers were literally dropped off at my house. To my surprise they were not installed nor was I left with hooks to hang them. Found out after the fact that installation is a separate service; separate fee. Had to purchase hooks on my own and hang them myself which took hours. Employees Pam and Harold, however, were very professional.

The cushions and valance finally arrived either at the end of December or the beginning of January. The cushions did not fit the chairs at all. The quality of the workmanship was very very poor. Aside from being a couple of inches too big for the chair, the piping went from thin to thick and was seamed in the middle of the front of the cushions. Where the cushion was turned, the hand stitching looked like a first grader did it. There were loose threads hanging everywhere. Aside from that, the fabric was hideous. The designer had suggested the fabric because she felt the colors matched well. She was looking at a small swatch. The trim on the valance was made from a completely different fabric that I had never seen and did not match anything. I kept calling but was told the owner's brother died. Then I was told the designer had a stroke. The designer finally came out. When she entered my kitchen she said, "Oh that's not good." I showed her the cushions and she said I didn't have to convince her. She could see the problems. I kept calling and finally the owner set up a call between herself, the designer and me. They wanted to do the cushions again. The workmanship was so poor I was not anxious for them to do the cushions. I also told her the fabric was hideous. She said, "Didn't you pick it." The designer stated we picked it together. I relented and said they could do the cushions with a new fabric. I wasn't thrilled with the valance but it wasn't nearly as bad as the cushions. She said the designer would check her schedule and they would call me back because she was just returning to work. More months passed and I called. I spoke to the owner and told her I wanted a full refund and did not want to keep the valance. I had been waiting since the first of September and didn't want to deal with them anymore. I had been waiting for her to call me and she never did. She told me - I was suppose to call her!!! Why would they be waiting for me to call??? The owner has refused to take the valance back and refund my money. The length of time was they had me waiting for 4 cushions and a valance was ridiculous. The workmanship was so so poor. Twenty + years ago Lachina did most of the drapes in my house. They were beautiful. Obviously, it is not the same company. I will never have them do any work for me again.

Use luchina twice, first time one window was not correctly measured. I moved had them again, and when blinds arrived, one was again the wrong size. I got a call from the salesperson who sais she measured correctly who took the order over the phone in Mexico messed up. Called and spoke to a person about the fact this happened twice, I hate moving lamps and furniture etc, what are you going to do for me, well they did nothing. This is a very high price company, and I foolishly thought they would knock like 10% off, but nothing was done to make me ever go back. And do business with them.

Things did not go well. When I called Lachina Drapery to set up the appointment for a consultation, I had indicated that we weren't sure what we wanted, but were considering the possibility of Shutters for our windows. Michelle showed up promptly for our meeting and said, "I understand that you are looking at Shutters". Since we set up the appointment, we had realized that shutters weren't a good option, so we told her that and we were interested in some less expensive options such as pleated shades or roller blinds, which are not that inexpensive either. First thing she did was to look at our old window coverings and started to talk bad about the product and how she thought that the piece that was attached to our door was not very nice and questioned why they would tell us to do this. First of all, we liked what was done and didn't appreciate her unprofessional comments. After we sat down and looked at some options, Michelle seemed very disinterested in helping us. She said that she was tired because she was at an appointment until 8:30 the night before. Guess what...I was tired too, but I still put on a happy face and was pleasant. Michelle did suggest that we could do some of the options that we wanted, but it would look much better with drapery around it. I'm sure it would, but that is not what we wanted. First of all, it almost tripled the price and we weren't getting the look that we wanted. I'm sure they do great work, but we felt that unless we were going to spend $1,000 on each window, they didn't really want our business. Too bad, because we have some ongoing things that we need to get done over the next 12 months and they could have had that business too if all worked out well.

Everything went perfectly. Lisa Lachina returned my call immediately and met with me shortly after. She had a general idea what I was looking for based on our phone conversation and she came with many samples that were exactly what I was looking for. As soon as the order came in she promptly scheduled the installation. The installer was polite, neat and took pride in doing a terrific job for me. I was extremely pleased with the service and product. I love my new drapes. Would definitely hire again and recommend to family and friends.

All went well...the turnaround was approximately 5 weeks so very pleased. The color matches perfectly with the walls; the fabric was as expected (what we picked); the installer was quick and efficient. He shared 'care' tips with my husband who was there at installation. They hang beautifully!!! I would recommend!!!

I had no idea where to begin? Margaret took the time to listen to my needs, provide suggestions and even made a house call to help me with colors and final decisions. The drapes were installed on the date and time promised? They look fantastic and will use Lachina again.

Service was completed satisfactorily but took longer than expected. Problem resolved and I would do business with them again. Personal response from owner because of Angie's List.

As far as I can tell, the chair seems to be fine. Prompt service, a plesant and agreeable person came out to preform the job.

This company was great to work with. Ready to phone them again for another home project.

they came to look at our window promptly, took measurements, the installation was super prompt and the men were lovely and polite and tidy. i called the next day, after i saw how it looked, to have them take it down. they said someone would call me immediately. no one has. now i've got to call them again. a nuisance. i didn't ask them to credit me for a different shade, since it was custom. but they didn't apologize when i politely explained that the shade is unacceptable. i find this aspect of their service unfortunate. i'll never use them again.

Everything was as promised. Workmanship of the drapes was excellent and the installation was perfect. Wonderful appearance.

They did a great job on making the window sheers however when the hung them they were not straight. We had to have them come back and straighten them out. They did and without a problem. They were very nice to work with.

I requested a quote for 2 windows dining room & livingroom. The windows are wide but nothing nonstandard or ridiculous. Including a cornice with the drapes and sheers without new rods, the quote was $6,700 dollars. I could not believe the price! Oh, by the way, this was with a 10% discount. Right! Least I forget, the cost included 2 throw pillow at no charge. The sales person later phoned to communicate I could receive another 10% discount.

The final work was an A, but the first installer did a bad job. I called the next day and they sent some one out right away to re install. The second installer did a very nice job. The designer worked with me and the drapes were just what I wanted. The color and design worked great in the room.
