King Electric

We called King Electric to get an estimate on replacing our circuit breaker box. We have used them before to do our lamp post, attic fan and to replace some light fixtures. They were always great to work with and this time was no different. They called twice to verify the schedule. We decided to go with the estimate for the 100 amp box, the surge protector and the upstairs outlet. We did not get any other estimates but it seemed reasonable based on feedback be received from other people that had similar work done. We scheduled them to come on Wednesday June 5th at 8 am. Mr. King called on Monday to see if he could change the time for Wednesday to sometime between 10 and 11 and I said fine. They were on time and everything went well. They had to move our box and grounding to get us up to code and that work was part of the estimate. No problems so far. An inspector came and signed off on their work. We had this work done because we wanted to remodel our kitchen and we wanted to add outlets. When the remodeler went to work with the circuit box he was impressed by how thoroughly King Electric had labeled our box.

The company response time was amazing. I called in the morning, and they offered to send someone out the same day, around noon. I was told, the electrician will call before coming. He was at my house in time, but didn't call beforehand. I explained the problem(s). I knew something was wrong with that electric switch, but since other parts of my electricity in the kitchen stopped working i suspected a bigger problem, therefore called the experts instead of trying to fix it on my own. He told me troubleshooting and fixing one circuit would cost $217, i had no choice but agree (especially because back then i didn't know the extent of the problem). It took him about 10 minutes to replace the switch, and turn the other electric outlet back on. Took another 5 minutes to remove the light bulb (it was badly stuck), and it cost me over $200. I consider this my tuition fee, but i found it very steep.

King Electric was great to work with from start to finish. Tony King returned my call immediately to set up an estimate, and Justin King was at my house the next day. He was very thorough and polite explaining everything to me. The work was then completed in less than a week, and the price was outstanding. I would definitely use King Electric again and would recommend them to anyone!

It was very good. I was pleased and glad he pointed out things about my garage door opener. He also gave me prices on other things if I wanted them done. Charge by the job not by the hour. I would recommend them.

This is my second experience with King. It was fantastic. I had a number of odd and ends stuff that I wanted to have done. It started out with replacing a ceiling fan and my list kind of grew which resulted in me contacting the professionals. They showed up on time as expected. Joe and (can't remember the other guy) worked a very hard and solid 8-9 hours to get all the work accomplished in 1 day. It included spending time in our attic which was not cool. Due to having a child, this review got put up late. I can tell you that we have not had any issues in the 9 months since the work has been completed. Things I like about King and their employees: They do great work. I have never had an issue with their work. I like the fixed pricing model. They clean up after themselves and leave everything in great condition. They wear booties when inside your house. I know this is a pain in the rear for them but it is worth it. If an issue occurs they are up front with you and don't hide it. While drilling for a remote outlet, the drill bit came out the wrong place. It was caused due to an unknown header. They told me about the issue and why it occurred. Honestly it wasn't a big deal anyhow. It's a 50+ year old house, things are going to happen.

They were excellent. The price was reasonable and they did an excellent job. They fit me in a week or so after the initial bid. I would highly recommend them. I was very pleased. The price was very fair. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves. They did exactly what I wanted. They made suggestions and it looks great. They were right on time. The two gentlemen were very nice.

Provider showed up on time, performed service in a professional and timely manner, and the price was is accordance with price listed on price sheet. Found out later from a neighbor the basic ballast element cost less than $30 and they had similar service from a local handyman for $100. King's is very professional and does stand by its work. I chose the professional who stands by their work, even though it was a bit more expensive.

They returned all my calls. They were at my home when they said they would be. Very polite. I was happy with the work. I would call them again for other electrical work

Came on time. Looked at job to be completed and gave a quote. Completed the job in record time and was very professional. No complaints.

We were really grateful. They were extremely professional and the cost is reasonable. I had them come back and do other modifications. It's just a positive relationship. They know the house. They know the prior work. They know how to respond to our requests in a very efficient and professional manner.

The whole experience was extremely professional, from the initial estimate to the finished work. There was actually a problem with my home's phone line and King Electric worked out the problem until everything worked perfectly. I am extremely happy with the results and am contracting them out to complete more work in the very near future. If I had a chance to recommend them to any of my family or friends, I would not hesitate and tell them of the fantastic job they performed. They provided timely quotes when requested. When I scheduled the job, they arrived on-time. They took the time to trace and label all of the new circuit breakers, thoroughly cleaned and reorganized the rat's nest of cabling coming into the breaker box, and then walked us through their wiring job, including pointing our old wiring that we should be aware of for future reference. They also thoroughly cleaned their work area when finished. I was very happy with their professionalism and quality of work.

He was very professional and he did identify the problem and finish the work really quickly. Everything was fine, but we wanted to get a quote on the porch light replacement because the wires were eaten away by animals, or something. His quote was too expensive to replace a light though. He was really quick, as he came in like, a half an hour, so we were surprised. We'll use him again for any minor repairs, but not major ones.

We were doing a major renovation on our kitchen/dining room. During the renovation we found many hidden junction boxes in the ceiling. We also needed new lines and breakers installed for the new appliances we were going to install. We knew the hidden junction boxes couldn't remain in the ceiling and installing breakers was not something we could undertake ourselves, so we called King Electric to come look at the job and give us an estimate. King electric were prompt. While they were here they looked at the work that needed to be done and fully explained what needed to be done. Also explained what they would do to minimize the work needed. The initial estimate was $1050.00. That amount was more than I expected or could afford at the time. So I did as much of the work as I could. I called King Electric and explained to them that due to the high amount of the estimate, I did some of the work on my own. They informed me on the phone, he would make any adjustments when he showed up to do the work. On 12-3 they showed up on time and completed what was left of the scope of work. I was pleasantly suprised when my bill was $332.50. King Electric had me in a position where most customers do not want to be. They could have hit me a lot harder than they did, but they gave me an extremely fair deal, based on the original estimate. They came in inspected all the work I had done, installed 3 new lines, breakers and recepticles. I will certainly use this company again for any future electrical needs.

Received prompt return call to an e mail inquiry. Job costs were clearly explained up front so really no surprises. Technician was prompt and work was completed timely and job area was left clean upon completion. It was a nice bonus that non emergency work could be completed during a Holiday week. Will definitely be contacting King Electric for future work.

On 12/06/12 I contacted King Electric to perform an inspection of my home. Joe and Eric were there the next day and performed the inspection. I found out my home needed and complete rewiring as I had knob & tube wiring and many other problems. After reviewing their proposal I decided to have the job done and they began the work on 1/9/13. They were very accommodating in working around my work schedule. Joe and his crew arrived each day on time and completed the job in eight days. I was impressed with their work ethic. They worked hard from the time they arrived until they left. Any questions I had were answered completely. Joe took the time to explain everything that they were doing and how it would work. I couldn't be more satisfied with the work that was done!

All the work was done promptly, professionally and clean-up was good. All charges were explained before any of the work was done. I will use this company again.

Two service men showed up to do the work. They were polite and went straight to work. They completed the job within an hour. Also cleaned up after they were done with the work. They offered to take old light fixtures down into the garage to the garbage can.

These electricians were good. They showed up at the appointed hour, explained the details of the job & pricing upfront, did a very nice job cleaning up aftward. The only issue I had was with scheduling with office manager - the original appointment was scheduled a week ahead of time, and on day of appointment when I called to confirm the time slot, the scheduler said they weren't able to fit me in - in the end, she worked my appointment back into the schedule but the process was un-nerving.

I called early in the morning and they called back within two hours. They said they would be out that day! They arrived when they said they would, and were very polite. After plugging the thing in the outlet and asking if I had GFI, they stated that it would be $217 to fix the problem, even though they didn't know what the problem was yet! I said no and they left. I guess they thought since I lived in Wexford, that I had money to burn! Ridiculous!

They installed everything properly and it went well. They were prompt, professional and very responsive.

It was an excellent experience. They are very good with communication before they do something. They know when to talk to the home owner. They are very aesthetically astute in ensuring that the home owner likes the way that it will look when completed.
