They gave us a fair estimate; came when scheduled and completed the work in one days time. They cleaned up and everything looks great and we no longer have lights blinking randomly. We are very satisfied and would recommend this company to anyone needing a reliable electrician.

King Electric was terrific. They sent Joe Jacobs--Residential Electrical Expert to look at the work that we needed and to give us an estimate. He sent us the proposal the next day (on 07/01/10). He and another electrician (Tim) came to do the job on 07/09/10. They came at 7:30 AM (on time--the time they said that they would come) and left about 4:00 PM - when the work was completely done. They were professional and made sure that our hot tub was working properly before they left. I can't give them enough praise! Both guys worked hard the whole day long (1/2 hour for lunch). It was a very big job. They had to go through our concrete front porch (enclosed) and drill holes down to our basement. The wiring had to be done through a pottery studio and build in cupboard and across our basement ceiling (which you can't even tell wiring is there)--the work is incredible. Joe was able to explain in layman terms exactly what he was doing and why. I so much appreciated that he took the time to explain the GFCI disconnect and the wiring inside of it. Prior to his explanation, I must admit, I was completely ignorant of the importance. I will use King Electric again - in fact my husband and I have already thought about other electrical work that we need done in our home!

King electric did a great job. Getting this amount and type of work completed on our house made me a little nervous. However, King electric did an awesome job. They were prompt and professional. They completed all of the items requested in a timely manner. Their work was neat. I was very impressed with the wiring for the sub-panel. It is on the outside of our house and looks great. I was very impressed with the small details as well. For example, they made a point to get our power back on in a timely manner. They hooked up our freezer to power to keep our freezer contents from going bad. They put all of the debris from the job in a very neat pile. They took the time to cut up the large pieces of trash. The indoor receptacle they put in for us looked like it was there from day one. This was out first phase of electric work in our home. They are now my electric contractor. When I ever need electric work, they will be my first and only call.

JOE AND TIM DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB START TO FINISH. ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AS THE WORK PROGRESSED WILLINGLY AND TO MY SATISFACTION.

The Electrician from King Electric came for an initial review of the needs of the house electrical system. He installed the whole house serge protection at the time of this visit. A second appointment was made for him to return and install the seperate line for the boiler and the extra outlets and lines to the electrical box. He was prompt and on time for both appointments. always polite and very thorough. The experience was very good and we will be happy to call on King electric for any future electrical work.

First call was for emergency service on Sunday, 10/4/09. From phone call to job completed, the experience was one of professionalism and friendliness-- and nothing was a surprise. I also felt confident in the quality of the work. I had exposed an old BX cable that was shorted when I started to replace an inoperable pull-chain light fixture in my basement. That problem was fixed on Sunday by Glenn. While Glenn was working, he identified a few problems and also suggested a whole-house surge suppressor for my breaker box at the SE. I asked him to have the office call me to schedule this work. I was told the price upfront and it was within my comfort zone/price tolerance. I got a call on Wednesday for the return visit to be scheduled on Friday around noon. Friday morning, due to another customer having to cancel, Joe contacted me and asked if it was okay that he come early. I said it was no problem. He was punctual, worked neatly and efficiently and while he was working, he identified problems with my breaker box and brought them to my attention. He suggested that a new service should be installed for safety reasons. Among things like corrosion on one of the two neutral lugs, moisture in the panel, rusted areas and lack of inspection sticker, he also properly noted other issues of slightly less importance that would be addressed by the job of replacing the service. Joe struck me as involved in his work and its outcome; he was patient and interested in answering my questions, and left me with the feeling that I would like to have King Electric come back and do the work. All prices are upfront and forthright, no guessing or surprises thus far. Both Glenn and Joe left me with the impression that they were personally concerned with the quality of their work and leaving me with a good feeling about the company they work for.

Everything went very well from scheduling to project completion. They called to ask me a couple basic questions about the electric box so that they could ensure they had the correct parts. The electrician showed up on time and was very courteous. He showed me their price sheet before performing servce in which various job were assigned to a level. Our particular issue was level 2, which equated to $99.00. The fix was straight forward and quick. Overall a very good experience. What I like most is that they have their prices pre-printed on a sheet and review them with you before beginning any work.

The visit was prompt and professional. The work was performed in a timely and courteous fashion.

They were prompt in getting back to me with an estimate. They ran into a small problem when doing the work (something to do with the house, nothing that was their fault) but came back the next day and fixed it and finished the job. They were polite and professional and I was satisfied with their work.

They came on time to do the work. The work was scheduled a week after the initial call. They were able to start sooner than they initially thought. They were also able to finish faster than anticipated.

I had several ideas for an electrician, but didn't know if they were doable. Tony King came to my house for an estimate of all the projects. Due to missed phone calls, I did not receive the estimate until I made a phone call to the company. They were apologetic and ASAP a written estimate was emailed to me that day (on a Wed.), and I scheduled the electricians for the following Monday. I was told it would take 2 days, but it only took one and half days to do the majority of the work (2 skilled electrician journeymen were sent). Excellent work, explained pros and cons of various under cabinet lighting products, cleaned up and vacuumed when completed. Since the job was not finished they accepted only half of the fee, the rest was due at completion of all installations. As soon as my lighting fixtures arrived from the lighting company, I called King Electric, they quickly scheduled a time to put up the fixtures (took only an hour with 2 electricians again!). The company called a day before to confirm the date and time and the electricians called from another job to tell me their estimated time of arrival at my house.

They did a good job, but they left all the equipment that they removed behind in my garage. It was a lot of very heavy metal and I wasn't happy that I had to dispose of it myself. They didn't tell me that they were leaving it there. I also had them install a surge protector that would protect my appliances from a lightning strike. Ever since they installed this I have noticed that when my refrigerator kicks on my lights flicker very briefly.

The service man arrived on time and installed the fans, which I had already purchased elsewhere. The wiring had to be snaked through the ceiling and walls and I was pleased at how neatly and easily the work went. I especially like the dimmer switch for the lights. I would recommend this company as neat, reliable, and quick to respond.

Tony showed up for the estimate at the exact time that he was scheduled to be there. The estimate was completed and returned to me in the agreed upon time. The scheduling was within the time that he estimated when he bid the job. For the project, the day that they started, Tony introduced the crew on site. The work was done on time, the team that did the work did a first rate job and they were a pleasure to deal with.

Mike and Joe were wonderful. I was home with a 4 month old every day, and with my two year old one day a week. They worked around us very well. They did a lot of fishing and the damage to the walls was minimal. They expected that they would need to cut through the attic flooring, but they were able to do the work without it. They also expected that we would have to remove the glass tiling on the bathroom ceiling, but they were able to fish around it. They were professional, courteous, clean and experienced. They did a few extra jobs for us also (fixing doorbells, changing light fixtures, adding outlets, etc).

Came to survey scope of work and to get information for an estimate and were never heard from again.

Electrician came the morning after I called within the time period promised. Seemed very competent and completed job expeditiously.

THE OWNER (TONY) CAME, LISTENED TO WHAT WE WANTED DONE AND MADE SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT WAS NEEDED. PROMPTLY MAILED US WRITTEN ESTIMATE. WE ORIGINALLY GOT ESTIMATE WHEN ROOMS HAD DROP CEILINGS. WE LATER DECIDED TO TEAR OUT DROP CEILINGS & RESTORE ORIGINAL HIGHER PLASTER CEILINGS. CALLED COMPANY & TONY GAVE US REVISED (UPWARD) ESTIMATE, BASED ON ORIGINAL CEILINGS & ALSO ADDITIONAL OUTLETS & FIXTURES THAT WE DECIDED WE NEEDED. PROMPTLY SENT US NEW WRITTEN ESTIMATE. WORK WAS DONE BY 2 ELECTRICIANS (MIKE & JOE) WORKING TOGETHER, 8:00AM-4:00PM, FOR 9 DAYS. ARRIVED EVERY DAY AT 8:00AM SHARP. WORKED VERY STEADILY. CREDIT TO THEM FOR WORKING AROUND A MOM, 4 KIDS, 1 BARKING DOG, AND 2 CATS (1 OF WHICH INSPECTED EVERYTHING THEY DID, NOSE-TO-NOSE). DID VERY LITTLE DAMAGE TO WALLS & CEILINGS, & PATCHED ALL NOTCHES. VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THEY DID. (WE PICKED THEM DUE TO PRIOR SMALL REPAIR WORK THEY DID FOR US, AND THEY HAD CLEAN RECORD AS MEMBER OF BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.)
