Paul checked out the job and called me to talk through questions, parameters and options. I told him I was looking for something basic (since this area isn't heavily trafficked) to keep weeds out. He came up with the option mentioned above, sent me an estimate and I provided half the cost as a down payment. Didn't hear from Paul for almost two weeks, so sent him an email to ask about scheduling. Same day I sent the email I got home to find that the job was DONE! A nice surprise, though wish I'd known they were coming. I'd planned to move the firewood, grill, etc. in the area, but Paul and his crew did all of that and re-stacked the wood (better than it had been, originally). Area looks much better and glad to have this work finished. Slightly better communication would be appreciated, but all in all it went well and I'd use Kimicata Bros. again without hesitation.

Kimicata brothers were professional from start to finish. We had some heavy rain the day they were to start so they called to cancel because they didn't want to create a mud pit in my back yard. They kept me informed every step of the way. The crew was courteous and went above and beyond in cleaning up and repairing any part of lawn damaged from putting up the walls. I would hire them again and will recommend them to any one.

I had the worlds ugliest front yard. Kimicata came in, presented a plan, and then executed flawlessly. I immediately got positive feedback from my neighbors and random people on the street. It was a tough winter--Kimicata has agreed to replace the plants at no charge. I'm going to hire them for the backyard next!

We contacted Rick in late Aug. about getting an estimate for a patio and fire pit. Rick was very prompt with returning phone calls and scheduling appointments. He provided us with a very professional design plan and a very reasonable estimate. Unfortunately, not many landscapers are as prompt and professional as Rick. We were trying to get at least one other estimate in the fall for this project and were not able to get even one landscaper to return calls/e-mails and get us any concrete numbers! We waited again until after Christmas to contact some different landscapers. This time we were blessed with 2 other very completive and professional bids. It was a very difficult decision, and our choice was based on very minor details. We would HIGHLY recommend Kimicata Brothers to anyone with a landscaping project and will definitely keep them in mind for future work.

Scheduling is easy. Go online to their website and pick a timeslot that is available and works for you. Each time I have used them they arrived on time, observed professional conduct, wear booties when going into the home, and completed the services as expected in a timely and professional manner. I have had this experience with two different service people from this business. I have no reservations about recommending them to others, and plan to continue using them for spring and fall irrigation system service

Also had Rick give me some quotes in various stages for doing landscaping later on my property. Of course for a free quote you don't expect drawings or anything that a landscape designer would provide for a fee but if you don't have a lot of complicated landscaping to do, Rich can provide a great estimate and detail on what he would do to make it much nicer. They came out on schedule and performed the work in 1/2 day. Cleaned up the area very nice.

The provider have not done the service, only an estimate. We were happy with it, but decided to wait until the spring. The provider was very accurate with his estimate and we were impressed.

Was looking for someone to overhaul a lawn prior to a sale. We discussed our options and were thrilled with the end result.Will certainly use them again.

Kimicata Brothers were absolutely fantastic. We had to communicate 700 miles apart, but this was not an issue. They gave a prompt and detailed quote. They started exactly when they said they would. We have used Kimicata Bros for about two years on my mother's yard. I live about 500 miles from my mother and we needed a professional and reliable service. Her lawn is now lush and green! I find their prices reasonable.

We are pleased, more than pleased. We got a professional estimate, a professional crew, and a professional job. Our front yard looks 100 times better than before. And it's clean, with no debris left behind. We highly recommend this company! The crew from Kimicata Bros. removed limestone and chicken wire and black cloth on the front yard. It was replaced after roto-tilling. with top soil, ajuga, and mushroom manure. Our hosta plants were moved and replaced in a pleasing pattern. The flagstones were moved and then replaced in a much nicer pattern. The crew even took the time to adjust the rock wall on the sidewalk level, and to pull all the weeds at the curb. (A note to all the other companies that I called and asked for estimates. Thanks for not calling me back. If you had, I might not have gone with Kimicata Bros. I'm glad your lack of professionalism made me choose Kimicata Bros. I will certainly call them again! But not you....)

It went very well. Jason came out and gave me an estimate for the job which ended up being the actual cost of the job. He understood that this one particular part of our yard had never been very successful in sustaining grass, because of trees, (a very shady area) and run-off water, etc. He suggested using good shade grass seeds after putting down topsoil, and then mushroom fertilizer. I watered every day, but it had difficulty growing in spots because seed washed away in spite of our best efforts because of heavy rains this summer. He returned, as promised, planting more seeds and it is now growing again. It has been a labor of love getting this grass to grow in this one spot, but I think we finally have a yard in the back of our house that we can be proud of, thanks to Kimicata Brothers. In fact, our backyard overall looks greener and lush, better than our front yard! My only negatives are that it took a while to hear back from them (but they were the only provider of this service that DID) and that they are a bit pricey. Still, I would hire them again because they are as good as their word in guaranteeing their work!

Paul was great to work with from the estimate on. And the team lead, Chris, went above and beyond. Our yard looks great. These guys really know what they are doing and did a fabulous job!

Never showed up to give us an estimate. He didn't call to try to reschedule.

Everything went great. Our wall looks beautiful and Kimicata Brothers were professional, courteous, and prompt. There was a slight communication issue vs. what we actually wanted and what the Company thought they were to construct. However, I e-mailed and called them and the issue was straighted out immediately. They were always courteous on the phone and on the job. They always communicated with us if if work was not going to be done because of weather related issues. Any call I made was returned promptly. I communicated with them via both e-mail and phone. All that contracted for was completely done as per the agreement. We had a chiminea that was inadvertently broken during construction -- they took full ownership and we were able to deduct the retail cost of a new one from our final bill--no arguments at all. The rain made our backyard a complete mud pit...but as per the agreement, they fixed the yard with new soil and seed. I had obtained 3 bids for this job and this was the lowest using the materials we wanted. The wall itself is gorgeous and we have received lots of compliments on it!

They let the customer pick the day and time for service request, so that you can be there. I have never had that before. Really pleased with the responsiveness.

They responded quickly and gave a fair quote and started the job the next week and were done in a week. It is nice and clear behind the wall and the ivy is growing relatively fast and it looks much better! I would definitely recommened Kimicata and probalby will ask them to do other projects at my house. One thing I would suggest is to actually meet with them upfront and make sure you are on the same page; they are in my neighborhood and I am quite busy so I had them provide the quote and we discussed on the phone, but there were one or two small things that probably would have worked better if I met in person and talked (ivy grows slower than I originially thought and I thought the grading would have been a bit more than what was done, but again, it looked great) through with the designer / quoter.

When I originally called, they said that they would send someone out to do a walkthrough and write up an estimate. About a week later, someone wearing a Kimicata t-shirt came by and I did the walkthrough with them. I figured it would take about a week or so for them to write up the estimate. A week later I called to see where they were with the estimate and when we might get it. I was told that they hadn't had the chance to send anybody out yet. I was confused and told them that I had walked through with someone I had assumed was from Kimicata (since they were wearing a Kimicata t-shirt). They said they would heck internally on who it was and get back to me. Another week goes by and I still haven't heard anything so I call back again. This time I am told by the nice woman who mans the answering service that I should get a call back from them soon, hopefully that same day. That was a week ago. I still haven't heard anything.

I really like them a lot. They are very personable people that really clean up after themselves. They even maintained my son's and daughter's yards as well.

I have a south facing sloping sideyard that burns in summer. This spring contacted Kimicata Brothers for the spring service. It involved dethatching, reseeding of bare patches. I was given a free estimate. With Angies list discount eventually it costed $1330. The work quality was good. I just feel that it was overpriced though. The grass grew well in the areas, and he guided me install timed sprinklers. Unfortunately, a lot of weed also came up on the bare patches. I am not sure if that will be controlled: they just did the weed treatment few days ago. May be after giving $1400, I had higher expectation, but overall the quality of work is good.

They have come out to inspect the lawn, I am currently waiting on the estimate.
