Their price is very reasonable. They are efficient. They seem to know what they are doing.

They are great and are just down the street from my house. I see them all the time. They are prompt and if I have any problems they come and talk about it. They get things done in a timely manner. They are a little expensive, but I get what I pay for.

Kimicata charges more than smaller guy-with-a-pickup operations (I've tried two, both recommended, both flops), but they respond punctually to phone messages, put contracts in writing, show up when they say they'll show up, and do what they were hired to do in a professional fashion. I'm entirely satisfied with their work, and in fact have contracted for another $1900 worth of improvements for the '09 season. The best part of hiring a proper landscaping company becomes obvious when a crew appears to do new planting in April. (When I hired others, they'd promise "this spring" and, after many messages, finally come in the heat of July, when new plants would promptly die.) Kimicata's plantings did well, and their trellis is much better footed and built than the one it replaced. The spray tech seems to know his chemicals, and made substantial progress beating back stubborn wild violets and some other bane I can't even identify. When I called midsummer to report I'd returned from a trip to find my lawn looking wan, they responded quickly (I had a fungus) and started treatment. (I actually wish they'd just started treating my lawn while I was gone and billed me, but I can see that some people would object to an unexpected charge.) Surprisingly, the spots of new, young grass they'd overseeded in the spring did best against the fungus, which speaks well of their work.

They took longer doing things than they said they would. They never warned us before they came. They were polite and professional while they were here. There were something things left undone. They came back and took care of it. They were nice people.

The man on the phone said they would call me back for an estimate on particular dates. But they never called back.

They were very good. They were on the high side toward expensive but the quality of the work was good. They weren't worth THAT much though. I was satisfied with the work.

They were quick to return our call and scheduled the work as soon as weather permitted. New grass grew in beautifully. No problems.

There are two men that do the work. They do a good and thorough job. They do little things at no charge that they do not have to do, like clean up apples that have fallen and they blow off the kids' play structure. They also provide Spring and Fall clean-ups.

I was trying to grow ivy to cover a Belgian block retaining wall. Every time it got started, they pruned it back. Then I'd call. A few weeks later it would be pruned back again. This year I told them not to prune ANYTHING and the ivy is starting to cover the wall. This little dance went on for 3 years. Largely due to inertia and not knowing an alternative, they have been working in my garden for 20 years.

Overall, I was very satisfied. Most of the flowers planted looked lovely once they got established. I would not choose to plant Xanthus again, as those did not do so well and the flowers were minimal. I think the landscaping planning could have been somewhat better, as they more or less "ran out" of flowers for along the side of the house. Despite these concerns, the work done was done well.

Very prompt and on time to all scheduled visits. After leaving a message with the answering service my call was promptly returned. Paul Kimicata came to give me an estimate and look over the yard. He took his time and did not rush me and answered all of my questions and concerns. Installers were on time and it was so nice to come home to a restored lawn. Sprinkler system took a few days and the plumber was very pleasant. Paul Kimicata came back and explained the system, answered all questions and made sure every part of the lawn and flower beds were watered..convenietly missing the porches. I even got to use the coupon from Angie's List.. a very pleasant experience for a change.

I called the company, the answering service took the message, the next day the owner called and made an appointment to look at the property. He gave advice and set up a time for them to come. I did not have to be home. They were here for approximately 7 hours.

We have a contract with them. They were on time and did a great job. They are not cheap. They did exactly what they said they would.

They do the everything there is for the lawn. They are reliable and pretty prompt. We had a tree down and they came right away and took care of it. They are also very personable and it is never a problem when the kids are around. They have all these different people who can handle almost anything involving the yard.
