Kimicata Brothers saved me from having to tear out a wall. They were very professional and their landscaping background helped with our drainage problem. We tested several different options to come up with a plan so we would avoid tearing out the wall. They are very good thinkers and brainstorming. They are very timely and got the job done quickly. The crew who was working at our home were long time employees. They came back to check on their work a couple of days after the job was complete and after the next rain. The price was reasonable as well. I would certainly use them again.

We received a call back and were put in touch with the landscape designer. He came out to review our property and our needs but never submitted a quote or design. We never heard from them again.

They are fantastic. They even did some of the leaves at my neighbors. They are always here when they say they will be and they always do what I ask. The workers are very, very polite and they are kind of warm and make me laugh. They are high but they are worth it. Sometimes they leave things.

Kimicata Brothers provided an evaluation of the lawn quickly and easily. The owner of the company discussed the possible work, from irrigating some or part of the lawn, to laying new sod versus treating the lawn with chemicals. The owner was knowledgable and helpful. After deciding to have an irrigation system installed for the entire lawn and re-sod as well, the work was scheduled very quickly. I was kept informed of everything that was being done, talking with the crew supervisor daily. The lawn now looks great. The sprinkers are working well, and I plan to continue to use Kimicata for regular lawn care.

I phoned for an estimate. My call was returned within 24 hours with a phone estimate and we set up a date for the service. The technician arrived 30 minutes late apologizing stating that there were 3 accidents on the freeway. He then proceeded to do his job and was very professional, courteous and seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing. Job was finished within one hour and he told me I would receive a bill.

Great work. Paul took the time to listen to what I wanted and made suggestions of his own. The price was reasonable and the crew was respectful and did great work. No slackers on this crew! I am completely satisfied with what they accomplished. Will definitely use them for any future landscaping/irrigation projects.

When they began the work they sent an army of workers, seven in all. They did a fine job, just what I asked for and wanted. Paul Kimicata was friendly, fair, and professional. I have additional work that will be done in the future and Kimicata will be my first choice when I consider bids.

I am extremely satisfied with our experience with Kimicata Brothers. I sent an email to Kimicata and got an email response that evening to set up an appointment to come out. Paul came out to our house and told us exactly what he recommended for our lawn and suggestions for some landscaping. He was not out to get us to do more work than what was needed. He was extremely knowledgeable and had great ideas. We asked him to separate the different parts of the job on the quote and he did that for us. We got the quote within a day and decided to use them for the work. The workers that came to do the job were great. They showed up early and worked really hard all day long. They were very polite and answered any questions I had. I was always told what there schedule was and if they were not going to be there due to the weather. Paul also came and checked on the job a few times and always contacted me if they were not coming a particular day (which was only due to excessive rain). I highly recommend Kimicata Brothers and will use them again in the future.

I'm satisfied with the lawn care contract that I have with Kimicata. There were additional charges for lawn and scrub clean up and the above rate reflects an approximate monthly mowing rate.

Once we returned the signed quote, Kimicata contacted us and let us know when they would begin and that's the day they arrived. The workers were prompt, professional and knowledgable. They dug the trenches for the irrigation, installed the piping which had to be placed specifically due to property line concerns, and identified the number of heads our water pressure would support and installed accordingly. Then they cut the existing yard and removed the entire surface, dug up the soil to loosen the area so the seed could grow, put down seed, and covered in mushroom manure. While they were turning the soil, they hit a huge boulder which they dug up and placed in our island - a bonus for us as we were looking to add a boulder to that very island. Their willingness to move this was above and beyond and were quite appreciative. It looks great. They also filled in two areas in our back yard that had settled from a retaining wall being built and created an uneven surface. Prior to the project beginning, we had asked about the leaves that would soon be covering our yard from neighboring trees and how this would affect the grass. Paul Kimicata assured us that long before we needed to rake leaves we would be mowing our new lawn. We were quite skeptical but now, just 10 days later, the yard looks green and fuller than it did all summer. We have a way to go before we mow, but I am now a believer that we will need to mow before we need to rake! Paul also indicated that they would be back after about two weeks to address any areas that did not germinate properly. The irrigation works wonderfully and we are very pleased with all the work Kimicata performed. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an irrigation system. We will also be utilizing their lawn care treatment services.

I was called within hours of placing an inquiry, and was given a fair estimate. Considering the amount of hedging around my house, I was surprised it was not more. They arrived while my wife was at home about a week later, and finished the job with little mess or noise. The work was impressive, and if needed I will surely be giving them another call. Might even use them for larger projects in the future.

I dealt with him over the internet. He came out while I wasn't home and our interaction was very minimal. I would probably hire them again.

Paul Kimicata came to give me an estimate for applying mulch and trimming trees. He argued with me on what I wanted done. He said he would mail me an estimate. The person who got the work gave me an estimate on the spot. The Kimicata estimate didn't arrive until about a week after the visit and requested half payment before scheduling work. This was about a day before the other person did the work. The Kimicata estimate was substantially higher.

i called kimicata bros on 6/28/2011--spoke to their answering service and requested a call back for minor repair and adjustment services for my inground sprinkler system== the following morning 5/29/2011 i got a call from jason asking what i needed done--i stated some of the sprinkler heads were not turning properly and probably needede adjusted or replaced-he said a man would be there the following day. ay 9 am on 6/30 2011 i got a call from jason asking if it was ok for his tech to come by in 15 minutes.i ageed and10 minutes later bob was at my door.i told him of my problem and 25 minutes later everything was good to go. this will be the only company i will seal with in the future regarding my system--the price was terrific--the service outstanding--the tech bob -- was helpful and knowledgeable great experience for me

Paul Kimicata impressed us with his knowledge of plants and his willingness to work with our long term goals. Kimicata Brothers also guaranteed the new plantings for a year from the initial planting. We have a number of underground springs and Paul suggested options to control the heavy spring water flows. We felt Kimicata Brothers were the most capable of the companies we considered and their proposal and pricing were acceptable. This was a large job and the Kimicata crew took several weeks to complete the work. The entire yard was clay and there was a lot of digging and earth moving required in order to smooth it out and add top soil. The foreman and crew were very professional and hard working. This was especially true during some very hot and dry days. They cleaned up at the end of every day so any inconvenience to us was minimal. We are very pleased with how the landscaping turned out. The plants looked good as installed and have all come to life again this spring (2011). The lawn seeding went well especially considering the front yard is a relatively steep grade. A few of the Cypress trees did not come through the winter, but Kimicata Brothers have since replaced those at no charge. The patio turned out very well, is a good match to our existing deck and is a nice compliment to our back yard. I would recommend Kimicata Brothers and would use them again.

Paul created a great landscape plan for our front yard and his employees executed the plan perfectly. We are very satisfied with the work Kimicata did and would definitely use them again.

They do the fertilization service once a month. The last time around, they turned on my irrigation service. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I had to call 3 times just to get an estimate. I received numerous exscuses for not receiving the estimate like, I don't work past 4pm, I was on vacation etc. It seems they don't really want your business.

They presented me an estimate within five days. I really appreciated the professional estimate that they presented me with.

The project went very well over-all. It was very long and drawn out because we began late in the season (November) and had to cease work for the winter. We also had some problems caused by the fact that we had unusually heavy rains and there was some problem with wall damage due to the incompleteness of the job when the rains came and the openings for the railings allowed excessive water to flow to the base of the wall causing some sinking of the pavers and movement of the wall. At my request, and with no hesitation, Mr. Kimicata consulted a geologist/hydrologist and obtained consultation to make sure we could replace the damaged wall without a recurrence of the problem. He furnished me with the report and followed the directions to the letter. The finished pation has withstood several severe rainstorms with no signs of puddling, wall shifting, or any other problem. The project is absoultely striking, giving us a large patio with an unusual design shape and a beautiful water feature accent. My wife and I had created the original design, and Mr. Kimicata carried it out beautifully and added ideas of his own that improved the overall project and appearance. We are very satisfied with the finished project, and would recommend this company without hesitation. The workers were neat, polite, professional, and very considerate of the family and the neighbors (there was a small bulldozer and lots of stone cutting involved). In addition to being well-rated by Angie's List, we chose this company because they are local to our community.

The owner called me a day or two after I contacted the company through Angie's List to say that he could not help us with our issues. While it was disappointing that they could not give us a quote for the work, it was very nice to get a call back to let us know that. There have been many instances when I contact a company on AL and I just never hear from them. It can be frustrating, especially if you are waiting on more quotes before making a decision. I appreciate Kimicata Brothers' thoughtfulness and I would contact them again for other projects.

They came when they said they would to give us an estimate. I have been in contact with them with some questions and they have been very responsive.

I’ve used Kimicata Bros. for landscape work for several years. Paul is very responsive and returns my calls the same or very next day. He will have the crew do what you ask and will provide advice when needed. This year, they laid sod in my back yard. It’s beautiful. The job was done quickly and cleanly. Jason called me during the project to provide an update. Paul called after the work was done to make sure I knew how to take care of the new sod. The place looks great!
