Brian & team were incredibly responsive - came out to give me an estimate soon after calling, and the job was finished less than a week after that. Past that, very fair pricing and simply an amazing job done. Highly recommend this company for any of your drywall/plaster needs - I know I’ll be contacting them again.

Kalanish Plastering and Drywall did a fantastic job on our new house. Brian and his guys were professional, prompt and experts in what they do. The finished product was seamless, literally. I would recommend them to anyone needing plaster or drywall work done as they've been the best I have seen and the work speaks for itself.

The guys that came were very professional and prompt. I really appreciated that they took precautions to make sure the kitchen was closed off so dust wasn’t flying around the whole house. They also laid down paper for a walk way so they weren’t messing up the floors. The drywall they fixed looks sooooo good and it wasn’t an easy fix. There were corners and cabinets and doorways involved so it was tedious. They did amazing!!

Got the job done very quickly and professionally.

On March 4th. I selected Brian after a two foot crack appeared in my living room ceiling. On March 5th, eleven feet of the ceiling collapsed. I called Brian immediately. He completed the work yesterday March 18th. The job took about six hours including minor repairs in the kitchen and bedroom. I am very pleased with the quality and detail of the work. They took care to minimize dust and debris and sealed and protected the work areas. Brian, Brandon and Ed were a pleasure to work with.

My experience with him was disappointing.

It worked out well. They were on time and did good work. They came at the price they quoted me. They cleaned up very well after the work was done.

He came by and gave an estimate and assured he could/would do the job but that was the last I saw of him. I got stood up twice...big waste of time.

It went good. They have been responsive. They cleaned up after themselves. They came and did the job when they said they would.

Never received an estimate. When I called a week later he was very apologetic and said he would put one in the mail immediately or drop it off. Several weeks later there was still no estimate.

Appointment 7/29/08 at 4 pm - did not show and did not call. Next day, I called Brian, who told me there was an emergency and he was going to call to re-schedule, which we did for that night 7/30/08 at 4:15 - 4:30 pm. I got home and there was a message from Brian (left around 3:15 pm) asking me to call him, which I did. He was in Squirrel Hill on a job and I told him there was no way he would make it by our scheduled time. We talked and I said what about tomorrow 7/31/08 at 5 - 5:30 pm. He said fine. He did not show or even call. I waited until 6 pm and then had to leave. I e-mailed the following "I realize it is hard to set up a times to meet with customers and things come up. I left work early two days 7/29-30/08 to meet you and on 7/31, waiting until 6 pm. Would have been nice to get a courteous call if you were not coming. You never asked, but I got your name from Angie's List and figured since you were in the area where I live it would make it easier. Not sure what else to say. I guess the ball is in your court if you want to call and stop over for an estimate." on the next day, 8/1/08. I waited until now to write this hoping he would e-mail me or call - he has done NEITHER. I would rather him just tell me he could not come over and schedule the week of Aug. 4th. instead of hanging me up. Not sure what else to say but I'm disappointed.

Work was well done. The pattern the plasterer applied to the ceilings mirrored the existing pattern on the walls. The work crew were very neat. Plastering can be a messy job but the crew took the time to put down drop clothes and seal off work spaces with plastic. Before they left, they even cleaned the wood floors on their hands and knees!

Contacted Brian for an estimate on repairing ceiling and small work in two bathroom. His response time to give the estimate was very fast. When we contacted him to schedule the work, the response time again was also fast. However, on the day he was to do the work he did not show up as expected. I called later in the day to find out that he had forgotten. He told me that he would call me back later that day but that he would still be able to fit me in during the same week. No call came later. I called and left a message that was not returned. I called the next day and left a message that was also not returned. I asked for a certificate of insurance that was not faxed. After talking with Brian when he gave me his estimate, my husband and I were looking forward to him working on our home. But he never followed through or called us back. I would like to know why. I am saying that I would not use this contractor again until I know why I did not receive any calls back.

This was a two day job. Crew showed up at exact time promised each day. Moved furniture when necessary and thoroughly covered all remaining furniture and carpeting. I had requested ceilings be textured and the finished product was perfect. Workers were very professional and obviously took pride in doing a great job. Considering the size of the project I had expected there would be a lot of cleanup on my part. The guys did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each day.

From time I received the written estimate to when they started job was less than 1 week. Mr. Kalanish did not personally complete the job, but the two employees who did so were very professional and easy to deal with. I was pleased with their quick turn time and quality work. Each of the two mornings they started, they were here promptly and worked without disturbance. I had questions regarding how soon I could paint after job was completed and Mr. Kalanish promptly returned my phone call.

They did an outstanding job. This was a huge ceiling that was pretty bad and it looks great now. I had a few small things that he fixed while he was there with out changing the estimated price. They were very, very prompt which was nice because it was an urgent job.

Brian Kalanish was very timely in arranging for this work to be performed. The two man crew who did the work were knowledgeable, efficient, polite and did an excellent job. The price was reasonable.
