Excellent!

They are very good and affordable. It's kind of a routine job. In gutter work they could do a better job. They try to go the least expensive way for gutter work.

Sad story takes over two years. Initial job was piecework upon our move-in to an older home (1940) with original slate roof. Slate work was OK, but they failed to fix the leak. Their crew initially sealed the wrong dormer valley. But then sealing the correct dormer valley did not stop the leak. Multiple return visits still failed to repair the leak. I lost many days of work on this. Serious interior plaster damage resulted. I finally used a different roofer (Kuhn) who successfully replaced the dormer valleys (instead of attempting patches/seals). Cost to do it right: another $1700 for the second roofer, and another $500 for the plaster repair, or total $5200 for what was originally going to cost me $3000. Conscientiousness is appreciated, but without competence it doesn't mean much.

What can I say? He came out, and found the two leaks that were in the roof. I don't know how he found them, maybe he does.

They are prompt, their prices are reasonable. They do not go for the most expensive solution.

I was very pleased with the job. They were very responsive. They reacted quickly to my call and descended upon my house like a swarm of bees to get to work on it. They were very professional. They even did some extra stuff for me. They were on ladders and they saw a spotlight bulb that was out, so they changed the bulb for me. I thought that was so nice of them.

We found Josowitz Roofing on Angie's List. They came out to inspect our roof and provided their estimate. They came on the date previously scheduled and finished the job on time. They also did a thorough clean up of their work, which was very nice.

I have used the folks from Josowitz Roofing on previous occasions and I am happy with their work. They arrived at the scheduled time and were thorough in their work. The new slate blends in well with the existing ones and although we did loose two more slates after they had finished, they are coming back out at no charge to fix them as well. I will call them in the future and recommend them to others.

Weather delays caused delay in repair job. Workmen came and performed job. Steve came over the following day to inspect the work. After most recent rain there are no signs of leaks.

This went very well. I spoke with several roofers and met with three to get estimates. Two out of the three that came out to my home actually climbed on the roof prior to submitting their estimates. These were the same two that actually submitted estimates in writing via fax. Both of these two roofers appeared to be very competent. Josowitz's quote was for less work (Steve Josowitz said he thought my gutters were fine for now, as opposed to the other estimate that included some work on the end of my box gutter). It is not exactly comparing apples to apples but it did cost me about a thousand less than my other written quote. And both of these roofers were told that I found out about them from Angie's List. Anyway, Steve Josowitz was on-time, very professional and reasonably priced. I also really liked him when we met and hoped he would have a good quote so that I could hire him. I am glad that I did and will use him again in the future.

Steven came out to estimate the work. His assessment of the problem (overflowing gutters and ice build up on walkways) and solution seemed sensible to me. We discussed various ways of dealing with the problem, and I opted for the more expensive solution since it seemed more likely to be a permanent solution. They turned up a few weeks later, and did the work. I am completely satisfied with the outcome. They were neat, punctual and pleasant. They not only solved my ice problem, but by finding and fixing the vent flashing they solved an interior leak which had been frustrating me for a year. I have since used Josowitz roofing for other jobs, and all were done perfectly.

He came on time and was very knowledgeable and professional. His estimate was very reasonable. I ended up using someone else, but it was really a toss-up between the two.

Steve was very professional and came out quickly to provide an estimate. The job got pushed back several times (agreed to estimate on May 1, job was originally scheduled for mid/late June, work actually done mid-August.) The workmen were efficient and professional and did a good job. Other than the delay in getting the job done I was very satisfied. Steve even reduced the price of the job by about 10% after stating that the gutters needed less reconstruction work than he had originally thought.

They had a very quick response, showed up when they said they would, fixed the problem, and the price was very reasonable. They will be my first call for any future roofing issues.

I was really happy with the professionalism shown by Steve. He showed up quickly to look at the site. Gave me an estimate quickly, and then quickly got the work done. I didn't have to play phone-tag to get an estimate. I hate phone tag.

Josowitz roofing has always been prompt, responsive, and gotten the job done thoroughly and completely. The jobs have always been done completely and thoroughly. We have never had to call them back to have work redone. If there is any question of roof integrity such as a leak, they have always assessed the situation the same day and repaired it immediately! Their estimates have always reflected their final price and no extra charges have ever been added. We have and will continue to recommend them highly to friends. The only complaint I can even furnish would be that their billing department can be slow to send the bill. The invoice often lags well behind the work done, but you can easily call the office and send in payment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A+++ COMPANY! I wish we could find such dedicated service in other areas of home maintenance.
