Unprofessional and condescending after an admittedly frustrating day dealing with insurance company paid to for years w/o a claim. Questioning insurance and those they employ

This is the second time that they have been to my house, as they are contracted through the water company insurance protection plan. So the cost I listed is the service fee that you pay through the plan. But even if something was not covered, and I had to call a plumber on my own, I would definitely call this plumber. John is SO knowledgeable about so many things. As he is fixing the problem, he is also dispensing advice and tips! Even about local ordinances, as it relates to building codes. Things I did not know, when I bought my house. Just a wealth of plumbing information as a bonus! Very, Very helpful. He clearly knows what he is doing though. They showed up within the window that they said, and worked very quickly as well. Would definitely recommend.

I employed this company to repair water damage to my kitchen. These repairs were not performed in a workman like way and must be redone. An estimate was obtained from another plumber for $2,243 to repair the work done by John, who charged $3100. He was supposed to clear out the plaster ceiling and the LATH ceiling, seal and paint the ceiling, and wall paper the kitchen. He put an additional ceiling over what was there. As the ceiling dried, the pieces that he had cut are coming down. The wallpaper was a disaster. It has to be redone. When I opened the dishwasher door, it ripped off a big piece because of the way he had applied it. There are numerous air bubbles under the paper because he did not adhere it correctly to the wall. There are lots of pieces that are patched, as opposed to going ceiling to floor. I wanted to pay him later, after I felt the work was satisfactory. He coerced me into paying him immediately. I couldn't stand up to him that day. He yelled at me/threatened to take down the wallpaper and I gave him the money. He was out of control. I paid him the money and he did not give me the 10% discount for seniors and has not answered my calls. I got his wife on the phone and she wouldn't let me talk to him. She said, 'We did the work. You owe the money.' I want him to refund my money so that I can have the second company referred to me by the insurance company come in and redo the wallpaper.
Description of Work: I called this company on January 11 and he came out the next day to repair plumbing in the upstairs bathroom. He opened up the ceiling in the kitchen to let water drain out. He charged me 1,005. I hired him because he submitted an estimate to the insurance company.
