Joe George Window Cleaning Service

I requested gutter and window well cleaning. Rosalie was professional and helpful in setting up the appointment. She said they would have to look at the window wells. She gave me a price for the gutters and window wells. When Joe George and his partner arrived, the partner got on the roof and cleaned the gutters. Joe George looked at the window wells and said he didn't know if they could do them. I said to talk to his partner and let me know. I then asked Joe George if he could take the patio glass door apart and clean the interior of it. He did this during which time I was busy in the house. Later, I saw the two men at their truck. They drove away without telling me they were finished or that they would or wouldn't do the window wells which they didn't do. They left the bill in the mailbox. Since the cleaning of the patio door there has been condensation between the glass panes on one window that wasn't there before. Also, we had someone come to check our gutter alignment a few weeks later, and they incidentally found areas clogged with old leaves. I cannot say for sure that either of these two things were a result of the glass cleaning or poor gutter cleaning, but given the poor communication with me while here, I would not use Joe George Cleaning Service again.

Went great. Joe has a great business. He came out shortly after we had the house repointed so he had a lot of mortar to get out of the gutters as well as the usual debris. Job was done quickly and cleanly. I really like dealing with Joe.

A gentlemen from Joe George Window Cleaning Service Company came out and looked at all the windows. I wasn’t home when he came out to do the estimate. The estimate the company gave me initially was $300. Then they told me if that I wanted them to clean all the windows properly it was going to be $600. So, they gave me an estimate initially that was half the price because of which I couldn’t get all the windows cleaned. So, they didn’t do any of the storm windows. They refused to clean the sky lights on the third floor. I had to call the company and request them to send someone back to get the sky lights cleaned. They told me that it was not a problem and they did send someone out. However, the person who came out had attitude from the minute I opened the door. He was awful. He left streaks on the window; it was terrible. He was unprofessional. He kept talking about how his wife and mother in law didn’t get along; it was just awful. Joe George Window Cleaning Service didn’t do what they said they were going to do on the price that they had quoted me initially. I would never consider using them in the future. I would not recommend them to anyone either.

It went well from the time I contacted them to the finish of the job. I used their email and the response was quick. They left a bill and I sent them a check...no problems.

They did a great job, showed up when scheduled, quickly cleaned the gutters and washed the exterior windows. Cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave any globs of gutter debris behind - like some other 'cleaners' have done! Offered to put me on their schedule so that I don't have to remember to call them next year which works great for me. I would definitely recommend this company.

Stopped by promptly to provide an estimate. Rosalie was very responsive over e-mail on questions and scheduling. They sent me an e-mail the day beforehand, performed the services without me having to be home, and left an invoice to mail payment. Very happy to not have to climb on the roof to do this myself and appreciate the convenience.

Went quite well. Getting an appointment was a little difficult, and they did not come on time, but when they came out, the job was done well.

I called for service and two men came out within a couple of days. I have used this company before and when you use them regularly, they tend to put you in the schedule anticipating that you'll want the service again in the coming season. This has caused problems because they do not always notify you of when they plan to come. Sometimes they have come in the fall to clean out the gutters while the leaves have barely started to fall from the tree without getting your okay for them to proceed. This is is not good timing and would be a waste of money. So make it clear that you want to approve each cleaning because there doesn't seem to be any sort of discount for repeat customers.

I called to have the gutter boxes cleaned on our flat roof. It's a relatively small area. They returned my call to tell me that they would drive by and call back with an estimate. They did. I thought the estimate was rather high and expected it to be about half what they quoted. However, they were quite clogged, many people in my neighborhood use them, and I was anxious to get it done. So, I agreed. They arrived a couple days later and were done in about 20 minutes. (So, basically they charge about $180/hour.) While I was on the phone with the company, I asked that they also give me an estimate for window cleaning services. She said they would. When the gentleman were there doing the gutters I reminded them that I'd would also like an estimate for window cleaning services. They walked around the house and said they would mail it to me. I've never received it. I can't say I was displeased with the quality of their service, but I thought they were expensive and follow-up has a little to be desired.

Response to my initial message was quick, and I was able to schedule the work for within a few days -- always a plus when your gutters are clogged. They charged substantially more than I've ever before paid for gutter cleaning; on the other hand, the gutters have stayed clear for long than usual, so they seem to have done a better job as well. I was a bit worried about what seemed to me a cavalier approach to walking on my (very expensively restored) tile roof, but the crew didn't break any tiles, so I'm willing to consider the possibility that their waving off my concerns just reflected confidence. Also, there was a (previously) broken tile right next to one of gutters that they couldn't possibly not have seen, but they didn't mention it to me. (I already knew about it, but they didn't know that, and the spot is very hard to see from the ground.) They'd get higher marks for professionalism if they'd taken the trouble to alert me to a possible problem, and hadn't left a bag full of wet leaves and associated gutter muck sitting in front of my house. I have garbage can sitting behind the house -- they might not have noticed it, but they also didn't ask. (My previous gutter cleaners carried away the leaves -- although, fair to note, my previous gutter cleaners also stopped returning calls, which is obviously worse.) All in all, I will use them again. They showed up and cleaned the gutters, and considering how hard it is to hire someone to do that job at *any* price, I'm not going to quibble.

They made sure work was done by a specific date we needed for a family party but were flexible enough to wait for when the rain was over earlier that week. They did a decent job with the windows although I can't say "perfect". They did a good job with the gutter cleaning and gave us a report on their condition without making a pitch for that job, which we appreciated.

The entire process was very easy: I called them to ask for an estimate for gutter cleaning, they stopped by to look at the house, called me back with an estimate, I told them to do the work, they showed up to do the work, and then mailed me a bill. The best part was I never needed to be home as they came when they were free to estimate and perform the job. I would hire them again.

Person who answered said Joe would get back to me - never did - so....no business for them.

They promptly sent us a quote. When I called to book, I checked with the lady that it was really for all three floors and all windows inside out. She realized that the quote was just for 2 floors. After checking with the man who gave us the quote, they told me that the mistake was theirs and that they would stick with this price but would do the three floors. Although the quote was high compared with others we got, the reviews on Angies' list were good and there were some specific ones saying that they had done all four sides so I was confident they would be able to do this well. Our house is old (100+ years), some of the windows are not in a great shape, and I was worried that many would not respond well to being manipulated. It was supposed to take 2-3 hours for 2 men, but a man showed up by himself that morning (exactly on time), his colleague was sick on that day. So he warned me that it would take him longer than expected. He started working and managed to make his way around and above all our furniture to clean all the windows (some heavy desks were placed in front of some windows and couldn't be moved. Despite being by himself, and most of the windows being quite large, he did an excellent job and nothing was broken (after he left, I noticed a small nick on the paint next to one of the windows, which must have been caused by his tools hitting the wall there -but that was minor, and I would have done a lot more damage if I had had to do the whole house the way he did, so I was impressed that's all the marks he left). He left the windows so clean and with no smudges. The windows were extremely dirty because they hadn't been done for many years and we had just gone through a major renovation causing lots of dust -I wouldn't be surprised if he had to do some of them twice in order to get them so clean. They were very professional, respectful of our house, and polite, and I am happy I found a reliable window washing service that I can call again.

They came and cleaned my gutters while I was at a doctor’s appointment so I never saw them. They just left me a neat little bag to leave out for the garbage man. It was very nice so I signed up to have this down two times a year. I recommend them.

The company sent two men to clean the gutters. They arrived approximately 1:30 pm and proceeded to start immediately on the front of the house. After, they worked on the rear gutter and the addition. They did a great job cleaning out the gutter and also removed a tree branch from the roof. They discussed and showed me what they had cleaned out of the gutters. The debris was bagged and along with the damaged gutter guards placed at the trash cans.They were done approximately 2:10 pm. The only issue I would have with the company would be that I had requested a phone call 24 hours in advance so someone could be home to discuss problems. I did not receive a phone call. But, that said, I would still use them in the future for my fall and spring gutter cleaning.

They did a good job with the work and pleasant to work with.

Mr. George is prompt, professional and does a terrific job. Any staff that I have worked with have been equally conscientious. His wife, Rosalie, usually does the scheduling and they are very accomodating. Mr. George leaves my house as neat as he found it, with not so much as a curtain out of place. Both he and Rosalie are polite and, as I have gotten to know them a bit over the years, very enjoyable to chat with. I would recommend their company highly.

When I was finally was able to get them to come over he brought himself and another man. They looked over the apartment and he said he didn't have his calculator and would need to call me for the estimate. He never called. I called him a few days later for the estimate. I sat up the appointment with them. They never showed up for the appointment. I called to see what happened, and no one answered the phone. He did finally call me back and the man that was supposed to come didn't have his equipment and never bothered to call me to cancel.

They were very professsional and prompt. They left no mess from the cleaning. We would strongly recommend this company!

I contacted the company by email, and they came out within two days to do an estimate. The estimate was competitive, and Joe George had good reports on Angie's List, so I went with it. When I accepted the estimate, I was told they would get back to me with a service date. They never did call or email, but showed up unannounced early the following week. I appreciated the prompt service, but not the lack of notice. They did a decent job on the gutters, but also left debris on some parts of the roof and on a porch. Still, I would use them again.

The crew showed up on June 10, 2010 and immediately got to work cleaning out the gutters! They made sure that all was cleaned up with no mess around our house. I am very pleased with ttheir work and will use them again!!!

I sent an email through Angie's List to request a quote on gutter cleaning. Rosalie sent me an email later that day requesting my address for the quote. I received a quote from her 3 days later. The quote was reasonable so I signed up for the service. The job was completed exactly one week later. They were quick and even cleaned out the gutter in the awning over my covered porch. I signed up for their once a year service and am very pleased with their work.

I called Joe George and left a message. I received a response almost immediately and set up an evalation time. After he had a chance to look at the house, I received another call estimating the cost of the work and asking about how often I need the gutters cleaned. I decided on a recurring twice a year cleaning because our house has several mature trees around it. Gutter cleaning isn't something that leaps to the front of my "fun" to-do list items, so I appreciate the automatic nature of Joe's approach.

The arrived as promised in their confirmation call the day before. They quickly started and were very efficient in cleaning all the inside and outside windows. There is no streaking and the windows look fantastic! The price was exactly as they estimated. They completed all the windows & were gone within 2 hours. Could not have been happier with the service.
