Jim Wadding Washer & Dryer Repair

I called Mr. Wadding and he made our appointment for 8:00 that same evening. He called later to say he could come over a little earlier, which was great. He showed up, within minutes had replaced the broken part, and explained what had happened. The part that broke was made to do that when the washer is extremely overloaded to prevent further damage to the washer. It was a quick fix and a good lesson. Mr Wadding was dressed nicely, was very friendly and helpful, and made an excellent impression.

Saturday morning the washing machine would not drain. We called Jim and he came out within two hours, just as he promised. After 40 minutes, the machine was repaired. Jim was prompt, professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend Jim.

Waited three weeks for Sears to schedule the repair... so I called Jim and within one day my dryer was running again. He was professional, kind, helpful, punctual, and personable. I should have called him from the beginning and next time I need a washer or dryer repair he is the person I will call. Excellent service.

Jim called me back within an hour and we set an appointment for that evening. He diagnosed the problem with my dryer right away but was thorough and made sure. The whole repair took less than half an hour. I appreciated his quick response since it was right before the holiday weekend. He is the ultimate professiona, will definetely recommend him to others.

Jim called me back within 15 minutes of my leaving a message and we set a time for him to come by that same evening. Jim arrived promptly and was friendly, personable and very professional. He quickly assessed the problem (broken lid switch). Instead of replacing the switch (which we had already replaced a few years ago), he bypassed the switch so that we wouldn't have the same problem in the future (the switch is a safety feature only if you have small children). As he was working, he also gave me some tips on extending the life of the machine, which was very informative. Jim charged only his service fee, with no hidden costs. Jim is like a master mechanic for washers and dryers. It's obvious he loves what he does, tinkering with machines and figuring out the best and most efficient way to repair them. I highly recommend this company.

My clothes dryer stopped working on a Monday. I called Jim that day, and he called me back within a couple of hours. (He works a day job and does his appliance repair work in the evening.) We scheduled an appointment for the following day. Jim came to the door at the appointed hour. He turned the dryer on, listened to the noises it was making, and said without hesitation that a belt had broken. Within minutes he had taken the front of the machine off and removed the tumbling unit and broken belt, as I stood watching. He had a replacement belt in his truck, and within another few minutes it was installed. Jim then vacuumed the inside of the machine and inspected the other components. All was well, so he reattached the tumbling unit and closed up the machine. He then put the dryer through its paces on all settings. The entire operation took less than twenty-five minutes. Jim was friendly, informative, and professional. I would call him tomorrow and would recommend him to a friend without hesitation.

Washer was not draining. Jim quickly diagnosed the problem and removed a switch that gets activated with closing of lid. He could have replaced it, but since we don't have kids that are likely to play with the machine, the safety measure of the switch was not needed. The machine runs normally now, it just doesn't stop spinning when the lid is opened. Jim was great - quick, responsive, and did not do unnecessary repairs/parts replacement.

I called Jim at 7:50 a.m. on Saturday and left a message that our dryer had stopped working. He returned my call at 8:30 a.m. and said he would come to the house at 9:30 a.m. He arrived at 9:20 a.m. I explained the problem. He opened the dryer door, spun the drum and said the belt was broken. Within a few minutes, he had the dryer apart and the belt had clearly broken. He said the new belt was $30 and his visit was $50. We ok'd the repair. He replaced the blet , vacuumed out the lint in and around the inside of the dryer-checked the bearings and wiriing, turned it on- worked well and put everything back together. Job completed in less than 1 hour.

We called Mr. Wadding. He was able to come to our home the next day. He called to tell us he was on his way. He was courteous, prompt and an expert at fixing our washing machine. His charge for repairing our machine was great. We were afraid we were going to have to replace our machine. Mr. Wadding repaired our machine quickly and perfectly.

I called Mr. Wadding when he was out of town. His answering message told me that he would return my call when he returned -- and he did so promptly. We made the earliest possible appointment -- and that was on a Sunday! He arrived promptly, was courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and made the necessary repair. His price was more than fair. I will certainly use his services again if needed and recommend him very highly to anyone who needs to have a washer or dryer repaired.

I called Jim after finding on Angie's List - was looking for fridge repair. He apologized that he only did washers/dryers but was prompt in responding even when he could not perform the work and also provided the name and number of someone who could. It was fixed the next day. if/when I have w/d repairs I will be calling Jim.

Tom came out at the first time convenient for each of us. (He only does this in the evenings.) He was prompt and was very efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly, had the part in his truck and replaced it. The price above is for both parts and labor (and travel!) I highly recommend him and would happily use his services again if the need arises. (Though he did mention he doesn't work on front-loading washing machines, so it will have to be another dryer issue...)

The price included the cost of the part and labor. I got them from Angie's List. I called around. He was located very close to me so I did pick him. He got a good rating from other people. He had that fixed rather promptly. It went well overall. They came out and looked at the job and assessed what the problem was. It took them a few days to get the part and they came back and put the part in. I wasn't in any super rush because the machine was workable even though it leaked. It has been fine since and I haven't had any problems. You can't beat their price. He put in a quality part and it didn't take him long to do it. He got back to me right away. He may have showed up sooner if I recall. His professionalism was great. I would use him again in the future.

Called Jim on Monday night after reading all the rave reviews on Angie's List. I looked into having Sears repair come out but after finding out that it was going to cost me $129 just for the service call I decided to try another route (and glad I did). I got Jim's answering machine and left a message. He returned my call later that night and set up an appointment for Tuesday night. He arrived promptly at the designated time. He took time to confirm that his diagnosis was correct before fixing the dryer. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He even vaccuumed under the dryer while he had the front panel off. I would highly recommend him.

We returned from vacation to find our Kenmore dryer (age 10??) not working properly. It would spin, and the heat would come on, but then the heat would go off within a few minutes. The Auto-dry feature was not working. I called Jim based on his great ratings on Angie's list and to my surprise he was able to come that same evening. I was all set to haul my baskets full of wet vacation clothes to the laundromat, but Jim fixed our problem by replacing a part. As a bonus, it was fascinating to hear him explain how the dryer works, and great to do business with a person so pleasant.

Our dryer was spinning but not w/heat, so I checked Angie's List to find a repair-person, saw Jim's excellent reviews, and gave him a call. He came that very night to check it out, discovered that he needed to order a part and said he'd return by Saturday afternoon. I got a call from him Saturday morning saying that he could come over right away, in order to free up our afternoon. Jim worked very quickly and extremely courteously. I hope I don't need any more washer/dryer repairs, but if I do I will most definitely call him, and I'll certainly recommend him to others.

I called Jim after Sears said it would take them 3 days (and a minimum charge of $129+parts) to respond. Jim called back within the hour and he came over that evening (he was even 15 minutes early). He did his work with the highest professionalism and he really knows his business as his repair took less than 30 minutes. So, by 8:30 p.m. we had our dirty clothes in the washer, and we were very happy customers. Jim Wadding is now the only guy we'll call for washer and/or dryer repair. He earned very high marks from us.

Great. On Sunday our 15-year-old Frigidaire washer wouldn't agitate or spin. On Monday we called Mr. Wadding. He came over Monday night and figured out that it needed a new belt. He didn't have one, so he ordered it. On Thursday he called to say the belt was in, and he came over Thursday night to install it. The washer works great now. I will definitely call Mr. Wadding the next time we have washer or dryer problems.

It started when a spring came off because the bottom of the washer had rusted out. Jim came and drilled a new hole for the spring and was on his way only charging me 50 dollars for his time. I was expecting more. A few weeks later the spring rusted out and broke. He came back out and replaced the spring for free. I would recommend this guy to anybody in the area.

The project went well; we were satisfied.

It took him no time to find the problem, fix it and was gone. He was excellent. He was very pleasant to work with.

My dryer was intermittently failing to heat. I called Jim Wadding and he came to my place that evening. He was punctual, very nice, and extremely honest. He tried replacing a couple of parts but he took them back out when they failed to fix it. He left when it seemed to be running properly, charging me $45, but just in case it failed again (since the problem was intermittent) he wrote down the part number for a sensor that he didn't have in stock. A few days later, the dryer failed to heat again. Jim came again as soon as he could get the sensor -- after the next business day and right at 6 PM, just when he said he'd come. But replacing the sensor didn't fix it, so he pulled that back out and worked on it some more until he found another part that seemed to be failing intermittently. He replaced that part and charged me only $24, parts and labor, for the second visit. Throughout, Jim was as pleasant and as honest as could be. I'll definitely call him again if/when I have another washer or dryer problem.

Came on time, immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed the washer. He does repair washers and dryers only. Very friendly. Will definitely call him again.
