Higgins Painting

From the beginning Mr. Higgins was very responsive. Even though we had to change the date a few times he was extremely understanding. He showed up the morning of the job right on time. His painter was a little late but this was not a problem since my time was flexible. I indicated the walls to be painted each color. I used two different colors. I then left to work. When I returned from work the room was painted but the first thing I noticed was the door was not painted. I also notice there were so spots that the paint was thing or little places not painted at all. This was gray paint over white so they stood out. I found trace about of paint spots that had not been cleaned up. I emailed the company and indicated in my email that I had some questions about the job. I wanted to find out what happened but I didn't get a response.

We were very satisfied with their work because they were professionals, personable and courteous. They were on time and kept things clean in their work before and after completion. I intend to use them again.

I was very pleased. They came when they said they were going to come. They were prompt.

They were extremely professional. Everything was just extremely accommodating to my schedule and his schedule. The gentleman that came out was very professional. I wasn't there but the gentleman that came did his work throughout the day. I am actually going to hire them for another one of my bedrooms.

I purchased a deal from Angie's List for $199 and was able to have all the painting done that I needed. I left a message with Cory to schedule the work and he phoned me back in a very timely fashion and was able to schedule the day of painting soon afterward. Cory came to the jobsite to introduce me to Chuck, who would be painting for the day. Chuck did all of the painting to a high standard of quality. I Both Cory and Chuck were extremely professional, friendly, and competent. I would definitely use them again for any painting I am unable to do myself.

Chuck got right to work and was very nice and polite. My 5 year old daughter asked him questions and talked to Chuck as he worked and he was very pleasant to her and never complained. Chuck was very professional and we are very happy with Higgins.

Awesome. Shortly after the Groupon was purchased, I called and spoke with Cory Higgins directly and he took his time to discuss with me in detail the scope of the work. He was very patient with my questions and explained exactly what they do and what was coverered. He gave me a ver accurate timeline of when they would be available to come over and work (after Thanksgiving) and we agreed that that was fine. He told me what was covered and what materials we needed to provide (just the paint). As discussed, Cory called me one week after Thanksgiving and setup a day to come over. He was very flexible when I asked if we could move it a day later. Cory and the painter, Chuck, arrived very promptly at 8AM (maybe a little earlier) as they said they would. I walked them through the areas and went over what was needed. Then Chuck went right to work. Cory then took 15 minutes to walk around the exterior and interior of house and discuss some of our other potential painting projects. He set up for Don from his company (the owner) to come over and take a look and to give a detailed estimate. Chuck was very neat and very thorough in his work. There were some tricky corners and high spots and he covered them all with ease! There was ZERO mess left behind and aside from the freshly white ceilings, you couldn't even tell anyone was there working. GREAT JOB! Before leaving he walked my wife through and asked if there was anything else. That evening I received a follow up email from Corey. Communication was great throughout and the service was of highest quality.

Wow! Talk about knocking it out of the park! I am so pleased with the work. I wasn't sure that they'd be able to do all that I had on my list but they did and WHAT A GREAT JOB! My walls are beautiful!!!

The communication between the painter and the owner wasn't good. He didn't communicate our conversation to the painter that I also wanted the bathroom painted if the first two rooms were painted and I had some leftover time. Those 2 rooms were done by 1:30 and the guy was ready to leave. I pointed out that I had paid for a full day of painting but he clearly had hoped to leave. I did not have the ceilings or woodwork painted because I really needed the living room and den painted.Also, the painter was pretty chatty and was on his phone quite a bit so that's why I gave the professionalism a lesser grade. Otherwise the painting service performed was good

Overall, we were satisfied. Communication with Cory was quick and clear. We bought a big deal to have someone paint the bathroom and garage for our house that we were readying to put on the market for sale. The quality was pretty good.

Bought this through Angie's List Big Deal. Everything went well except the punctuality as the painter called multiple times extending the time they would arrive. This made the day extremely inconvenient as we had certain hours available to allow such a major service to be performed. When we complained to the owner ... he was responsive and professional. The work was fine. The pricing for additional services was excessive and of no interest to us. They definitely got a decent amount of work done for the time we hired them for ... it was worth the purchase.

Very professional...on time, neat, and adressed the items I requested to have done. Worked an entire day (8 hours) for $199! I will have them back to do my next painting job.

We really liked dealing with Higgins Professional Wall-Covering & Painting. After making the arrangements with Cory Higgins, he and the painter, Chuck, showed up promptly at 8:30 a.m. He began working and only took time for lunch and finished the job within the 8 hours. The room is approximately 12 x 13 with high ceilings (highest point 17 feet) Chuck did a neat, professional job; we would definitely use this company again and would recommend them.

The room was tarped and furniture moved prior to beginning painting the ceiling and chair rails white. Two coats of the red was applied to the walls. The cleanup was complete and during the cleanup, Mark showed us how to easily keep the red roller cover from drying out for the applying the second coat of red below the chair rails. Mark showed that the roller cover was high quality and what to look for when purchasing roller cover. Mark was a pleasure to talk to all day. One other thing that really was impressive, and allowed Mark to paint for a longer time; he didn't have to tape the walls or trim. He painted freehand, red next to white. The room is beautiful, ready for the big Thanksgiving meal.

Arrived on time and started immediately. Were not afraid to ask questions of what was wanted. Clean up very good

I had purchased one of Higgins Professional Wall-Covering's Big Deals from Angies List on September 27, 2012, because I wanted to redo the color of my bathroom walls. I didn't like how my bathroom wall color was clashing with my new granite vanity top. By September 28, I had received an email from Cory Higgins thanking me for purchasing the coupon. I called him within a few days to set up the date for the job to be done. There was no need for an estimate as the coupon was for a "Painter for a Day". Cory was kind enough to allow me to use his name at Sherwin Williams to purchase the paint at a greatly reduced cost, saving me a lot of money. Cory and Chuck arrived at 8:00 am on October 11, 2012, to do the job. They are both very nice men. Chuck had the job done within the estimated time frame. And the room looks great. He painted the walls, and also the door and window. I was extremely pleased to have this job done in such a quick amount of time, with no hassle at all. I highly recommend Higgins Professional Wall Covering & Painting. And I would certainly call on them again.

Initially I had planned to use the Angie's List coupon, but I had a deadline of October 5 to get some wallpapering done. I sent email directly on Monday to see if the company could help me finish the job. I had already stripped the old paper, washed the walls, and fixed some wall damage with joint compound. I got no response, and so kept working on my own, hoping to get the job finished: bottom half of the wall in one pattern and primer paint on woodwork. On Thursday I finally got a call from the company- Corey was terribly apologetic- the company's email had been off-line all week and he had just gotten my message. He did send one of his top paperers over on Friday - at the Angle's List price per hour - for the four hours that we thought the remaining job might need. JT touched up the edges of the ceiling paint so we wouldn't get paint on the wallpaper. After that, I worked side by side with JT to measure, cut, wet and hang the paper for the top half pattern. When it was clear that we couldn't finish in the four hours, JT offered to stay until the job was done, no matter how long it took. We stopped while I fixed lunch for both of us, then went back to work, until 3:30. He drew a l line for me to run a level border around the room - which I finished after he left. I cleaned up the messes and the room was ready for my brother to sleep in! The wallpaper looks great! I would have JT come back to paint or paper any time! Corey and JT went far out of their way to help my predicament.

Excellent customer service! The owner showed up on time to do the estimate. He gave me a fair price. They fit me into their schedule right away. On the day they painted, Don Higgins and his workers showed up on time and were very professional. They did an excellent job and the room looks great!

Great! Purchased a Big Deal and called Higgins on Monday morning. Donnie called back in a couple of hours and was in the area doing a commercial job. We met at the house that afternoon and I had an estimate. He called that evening and said he could not work on the commercial job on Tuesday (outside work and it was raining), so could he bring a crew over. It would be a two day, two man job They started on Tuesday and even though it was sunny Wednesday, they came back and finished. Nice crew, did a very good job and while they were waiting for paint to dry, they found some trim paint and touched up the baseboards and crown moldings! Can't ask for more than that.

Mr. Higgins and his staff arrived at my home promptly every morning as promised. They spent several weeks on the job and I felt comfortable leaving them in my home when I was not present. They are extremely meticulous and the painting and wallpapering performed was flawless. I was having trouble choosing a paint color for my great room and per my request, Mr. Higgins was patient and actually put 4 different sample color patches on my wall so I could look at the colors for a day and see how the colors may have changed in the evening lighting. They also did a faux suede painting technique in my boys bedrooms that is absolutely beautiful. Mr. Higgins and his staff are pleasant and professional and I would highly recommend their service if you are looking for a wall covering and painting company. You may find someone who can perform the same service for a little less money but it is worth spending a little more to receive a top notch professional job.

The estimate was less than expected which is always a bonus. The workmanship, by the two employees of Higgins, was superb. They covered all the plants and bushes so none of the scrapings or paint itself damages anything. They even painted the mail box.

Did a great job from start to finish! Bidding job, saw, executed projecct, professional, timely. Would use again on any project!
