Description of Work: Tuned my Chickering walnut Parlor Grand Piano that had not been tuned for quite a few years, although it was purchased from him in 12/80, and he had tuned it in the past. So he tuned it twice during the visit, so as not to place too much pressure on the springs each time as he progressed. Also, removed the "action (the entire frontal section with the keys and connecting action) and dusted out the exposed interior metal surface beneath the springs. The piano had not been used or played in some time, as it was covered with a transparent thin tarp, due to overhead roofing leaking in the area, so several of the adjoining keys had to be separated properly to relieve sticking or malsounding notes. The present re-tuning was only done once the roof had been replaced and the leaking stopped. Played a tune or two when done to display the tuned sound. He can also be called about moving pianos.
