 + -1 moreGreg and Ron did the entire job in a day. Following their watering instructions, the grass sprouted about 10 days later and is doing great. It used to be a pitted, root-filled, and sloping yard with patchy grass; it's so much smoother and level now. The new garden areas on the sides will be wonderful for the planting we decide on in the future. Since we're on a corner lot, the curb appeal of the backyard is important. We're really glad we had this done.
Description of Work: Created new back yard/lawn where heavy shade and poor soil had deteriorated the previous lawn. Greg discussed in detail ideas for creating a sunnier yard without getting rid of all the trees around it. He recommended Neighborhood Tree Svc, a great company, to do the tree removal and pruning work first. Then he and his partner, Ron, came in to: spray old lawn to kill the weeds, turn/till the whole lawn and delineate/define 2 adjacent garden areas, add 6 tons of soil/manure and grade the lawn, fertilize, lime, seed, cover with straw, add 6" organic compost to garden areas.
