I truly enjoyed working with Andy. I am in the process of purchasing my first home and don't really know a lot about houses, issues and things to look for. Andy was very helpful and explained many things to me like how the electrical system works, the wood floors, pluming and the heating/cooling systems. He also encouraged me to ask him whatever questions I may have. I felt like he wanted me to have all of the information I needed to make a sound decision. Although the process was about 3 hours, it was well worth it and I am glad I came for the inspection because I learned a lot from Andy.

I could not have been happier to be honest. They hit my 3 Ps.. Punctual, Personal and Professional. Andy and the team really showed they cared about the level of detail in their work. I was more impressed that they actually took the time to explain things to me which provided me with a level of understanding that allowed me to make informed decisions about what to do when buying the home. If there is one thing I learned when walking away from this service, it's to never assume that newer is perfect and to always get this kind of thorough inspection when buying a home. If I buy another home I will get my inspections from Griffin Inspection Services no doubt. I will also recommend them to anyone I know that is buying a home. As a result of this, I decided not to proceed with the property as there was too much discrepancy between what the owner said it required and what the inspector reported.

Our experience with Andy was extremely positive. All of what you might expect, punctuality, professionalism, knowledge were provided. What we were most impressed with was the thorough and painstaking detail of the work provided. WE were provided a lengthy report cataloging everything we had seen at the house, complete with pictures and recommendations. When we met with our realtor (and contractor) to review the report, they were blown away at the quality of the document. What the contractor appreciated most was the fact-based assessment of potential issues (as opposed to alarmist rhetoric). They had never seen such a well-prepared and comprehensive inspection report. The realtor asked for his information so she could recommend him as well! An added bonus was that Andy's demeanor was friendly and confident, not rushing or impatient. He answered all of our questions and framed our concerns appropriately. I couldn't give Andy higher marks.

It might be wrong to hold him to the standard of my previous Inspector. My previous inspector gave estimates on repairs, told me what needs to be done now and what can wait. I was in a rush to close and Griffin Inspection was available and on the Big Deal so I gave him a shot. One question Griffin asked me, I thought it was strange, was do to I have any concerns - I said that is why you are here. I felt he never gave me a firm answer of yes or no; he was being very careful with his answers. He provided me with a report and maybe if I knew more about construction I would have been able to decipher it because it seem very detail and it included pictures.

I was not able to be there, but my parents said, Andy took the full 4 hours and looked at every nook and cranny. They said they have never seen someone do such a thorough job before. The full report came via email within a day or two with full pictures and explanations and recommendations. The document was extremely helpful in the negotiations for the price of the house and I feel like I really know what I'm getting into. This guy is a professional and takes his job seriously. Couldn't give him a higher recommendation.

Cant say enough good things about Andy. Very responsive and easy to reach. Answered my first call on a Sunday evening and was able to schedule with very little wait time. Paid through Angie's list making the payment part a breeze. Arrived on time and did not rush through the job. He estimated this to take 3 hours but had no problems spending way more time, patiently answered my questions and addressed concerns and even provided suggestions on possible improvements. The report was very through with pictures and descriptions, quick summary to make an informed decision. Very little surprises after the move in and for most part, knew what i was signing up for. Well worth the service fee! Very knowledgeable and friendly, would definitely call him for help as well as refer to my friends and the Angie's list community.

Andy was on time and took his time walking us through the inspection. He answered every question thoroughly and went above an beyond our expectations. We felt he was honest throughout the process and that we got our money's worth. He was prompt to answer emails and phone calls. The final inspection report was clearly laid out and submitted quickly (see the website for an example). We would use Andy again for similar work, and we recommend him to other folks in the area looking for a quality home inspector.

Andy was excellent. He showed up on time and checked the house so thoroughly. We were really impressed with the time he took to check out every single nook and cranny in the home. My agent even said he had never seen such a thorough report. I spent a lot of time researching who to have come inspect the home... because it is a huge decision. We were really glad we chose this company. If you are looking- I would go with this company and stop agonizing over the decision. You will be glad you did. We decided not to purchase the home Andy inspected. We are still looking and when we find another one- Andy will be hired to do the inspection.

It seems to me that home inspectors are much like contractors - there are hundreds to chose from but only a handful that are worthy of high praise. In my opinion, Andy should be considered or called by anyone considering an inspection. What set Andy apart was his willingness to explain and educate me on any issues he found and his patience with my questions. His attitude in general was cheerful and his appreciation for his craft was evident from the first few minutes. I've had only a few home inspections done but I've seen my share of reports. Andy was thorough and provided detailed photos to corroborate all findings. Furthermore, he embraces technology and made the often overlooked elements of a home inspection a breeze. (ex: payment processing, report access, etc). Even after the report was issued and payment was made, Andy continued to work with me and explain elements of the report. In short - I highly recommend Andy.

Everything went very well. I was able to reach Andy Griffin immediately and we scheduled a time for him to come to my house within a few days. He arrived on time and performed a very thorough inspection of the problem areas throughout the house, including the basement, all the way to the upper floors, as well as the outside. He gave me his opinion as to what could be causing the problems, as well as suggested some possible solutions. Within two days, Andy emailed me a very detailed report, including several photographs summarizing his findings, with advice on how to address the problems, including links to foundation repair products and companies that I should consider. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, as well as very professional and polite. I thought the fee he charged me for the service he provided was very fair, in fact, it was a bargain! I would not hesitate to use Griffin Inspection Services in the future, and would highly recommend Andy for any home inspection work that you need.

Andy was fantastic! I called him and he was very informative! He explain the entire process to me over the phone even though he knew when I first called I was only checking pricing and his availability in scheduling. He does a bundled price for all three inspections to be done which is 475.00$. He was less than other companies I called over all but since he did not have a lock box code thing (I have no idea what it's called) our Realtor charges 50$ fee to come out and unlock the house. We chose him anyhow because he was so informative with me about exactly how everything would happen. After the inspection started and I met Andy I knew I had made a good choice. The Terminix guy Tim he had in for the pest inspection was great. He knew his stuff, answered all my questions very well, and gave us a details as we walked around the property. The Radon guy I did not personally meet but he made sure he was in the house 48 hrs prior to our date of inspection to put up his equipment. He had a preliminary report for us by the time we were having our home inspection done which was convenient. Andy himself was also fantastic. He was willing to walk all around the property with us and answer questions and point out things as we went. He also offered solutions and options for fixing certain things in the house. We had a lot of questions and Andy was very patient with us. We spent a total of 5 hrs for the home inspection. I was tired I know he had to have been but he never made me feel like he wanted to rush out of there or get home. This is our first house and we have been very stressed going through the whole process. Andy was really great and made the home, radon, and pest inspections all go very smoothly. I'm so happy I called him and I will use him again in the future!!

Hired Andy for a home inspection and he was AMAZING! Even though the home was a foreclosure he was able to give a report that was pretty much complete. He had all the gear to properly perform an inspection and provided an in-depth report that was 66 pages long! He was professional, trustworthy and VERY FAST at responding to emails or phone calls. Will definitely hire him again in the future! Don't think, just call him...you'll be glad you did.
