Kim was supposed to do a detailed move-in cleaning. We even paid $100 extra to clean all the blinds. She said it would be "immaculate" but it definitely was not. All the toilets were still dirty, the mini blinds had been wiped but were stuck together and not clean, there was still dust and dirty everywhere and she did not vacuum in some areas. I was very disappointed that I paid so much money for a poor job. She agreed to return and finish the job but then never did despite multiple appointments that she and I set for her to come back.

Short and sweet: Service was never performed and I could never get a reply from her. Very irresponsible for a business owner. Over a period of TWO MONTHS I tried to contact her by phone and email. She would never respond. At one point her voicemail box was full so I couldn't even leave a voicemail!! I finally left her a very direct message saying I expected to be contacted in the next 24 hours. She responded to me later with a text, never a phone call!! I sent her the information she wanted, and told her any weekend or evening was fine, and had even started contacting her to give her a weekday or two that she could come if weekends and evenings were tough. Nothing could ever be scheduled since she would never respond. How long does it take to respond? And don't tell me you are too busy, you can't set an appointment ONCE OVER A TWO MONTH PERIOD?? Well...can't tell you how INFURIATED I was after 2 months of trying to get a response and her using the Groupon as an excuse for her busy-ness that I saw her do a similar deal on Google Offers!!! What the h***? Can't you fulfill your other obligations first before you take on more customers??? I had enough and went back to Groupon who was very awesome and gave me a complete refund. They also took my complaint in their database. IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS VENDOR, PLEASE CONTACT GROUPON AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU A FULL CREDIT. A friend is also having issues and will likely do the same. What a colossal waste of my time.

Kim and her associated arrived right before 9:30am and began by high dusting my upstairs and right around 11:30, Kim let me know they would be mopping themselves out. I checked their work once the floors were dry and I was pleased with the work they did. They essentially cleaned all the rooms in the house and performed all the tasks that were outlined in the e-mail from Kim. The rooms looked clean and smelled fresh. The products they used did not have a strong chemical smell, which was very refreshing. While I would like to see the communication response time improve, I was very happy with the cleaning job that was performed by Green N Squeaky Clean. I look forward to using them again.
Description of Work: I have been in search of someone to clean my house for a couple of months now... On August 25th, Green N Squeaky Clean offered a 2 hour house-cleaning service for $49 so I thought it would be a good opportunity to try this company out. I was a little worried in the beginning because it took a couple attempts to get ahold of the owner to schedule an appointment. I kept trying though because I knew that the company was most likely fairly busy due to their recent groupon offer. I was able to schedule a walk through with Kim (the owner) on September 9th. Kim was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I showed her around the house and mentioned what I wanted done. She e-mailed me the following week with a list of what a typical cleaning included and estimated in case I wanted future service. My 2 hour house-cleaning was schedule for today (September 26th).

I would like to respond to the business owner. I never cancelled on Green and Squeaky clean. I let Kim know in advance that I was only available until 11:30 on September 16th, and when she said she could come over at 2:00 pm, i told her I was not availble as we previously duscussed. My e-mails (that I still have) are word for word, there was no intrepretation or exageration. On September 16th, I did received a call from the owner of Green and Squeaky clean. Our scheduled consultation time was between 8-9, and Kim did not show. I did not receive a call until 11:00 am when Kim stated that she went to the wrong Angela's house that morning and she could be at my house around 2 in the afternoon. I had told Kim previously that I was only available uinitl 11:30 that day and told her "this is not working for me". She then told me to contact groupon and they will give me a refund. I did so, and Groupon refunded my money within days. Maybe this service should focus less on selling 387 groupons and focus more on customer service. I have never know of a small business owner to thank thier lucky stars a customer didn't use them. Seems like that is a bad attitude and would hurt the bottom line. With any luck this service will not be causing consumers headaches much longer. Buyer beware, I would not recommend this service to anyone. In fact I have already contacted a few of my real-estate friends in the area to make sure they know about my experience so if their clients ask, my friends can relay what happened. Having grown up in a family with small a business, I have and will continue to be a supporter of small business, but this small business is NOT worth supporting. My husband and I have been searching for a cleaning service and when we saw the Groupon for Geen-N-Squeakyclean the end of August we thought it would be worth a shot. We were (are) not just looking for a 1 time cleaning but wanted a service that we could set up every 2 weeks. Sadly after numerous poor communications with this company that started at the end of August, they stood me up for the consultation. I never received a phone call canceling or saying they were running late. They just didn't show. I read the unfavorable reviews on Angie's list, but I was trying to give Green N Squeakyclean the benefit of the doubt and it bit. I want to say that I was more than willing to wait a month or more for a consultation, but I was never given any information as to why there was a lapse in communication once it started at the end of Aug. Were they busy or were they just unresponsive? I did not know. Had I know that there were over 370 Groupons sold and they were trying to get to everyone, I would have been much more understanding. A simple ?we are backed up from the sale of the groupon and we are scheduling consultations into October? would have sufficed. I would have gladly scheduled a consultation further in advance. Below are the agonizing e-mails and 3 weeks it took to even set up a consultation, only for them not to show, and never call to cancel. Like the other reviewer said...was this in retaliation to me voicing my annoyance? Since I am not the only one that was stood up, I'm thinking this is not just a fluke but the way the business is being poorly managed. I purchased my groupon on Aug 28th and contacted Green N Squeakyclean that same day. In my initial e-mail, I introduced myself and provided my full address, phone number and e-mail. I received an e-mail back from Green N Squeakyclean the same day asking me to provide my phone number full address and my availability for them to do a 5 minute walk through of our home. I then wrote back again on Aug 25th, provided my name address and phone number again, along with my availability. I stated that I am generally free in the evenings after 4:30 and on weekends, but that I had 2 days off in September (the 2nd and the 16th) and would be available those days as well. On August 30th, I received an e-mail back that said ?sure could work let me know?. Since I did not know what this ?could work? was in reference to, I followed up with another e-mail on August 31st and said ?would you be able to set something up mid morning on September 16th?? I did not hear back, so on September 7th I wrote Green N Squeakyclean again and said, can you confim if you will be able to come for a consultation in the morning of September 16th or if you will be able to come another night/weekend?. Still hearing NOTHING back from Green N Squeakyclean since the ?sure could work let me know? on Aug 30th, I wrote AGAIN on September 12th. I said: ?My first e-mail was on August 25th, and this is the start of week 3 of trying to set up a time for a consultation. The trail of e-mails (with my address, phone number and availability) is below. My fear is if a consultation is this hard to set up, will it be this difficult to get on a steady cleaning schedule? I read a review on Angie?s list about this service being unresponsive and I dismissed it as sour grapes, but I?m starting to rethink the comment I read. Are you able to come on the morning of Sept 16th? I will only be home that day until 11:30. If you are NOT able to at least schedule a consultation please let me know so I can request a refund from Groupon.? I received an e-mail on Sept 12th that said: ?we sold 377 groupons and are getting to everyone as soon as we can. You will have to be a bit patient. I will be doing walk throughs in the south hills today again- could you be available anytime before 3?? to which I responded on Sept 12: ?I understand that you are busy because of the Groupon, I was hesitant to buy the Groupon because of what I read in Angie?s list but I did so because I didn?t want to let one bad review bring everything down. Then when I was having the same issue, I began to worry. It was because I did not hear back one way or the other that worried me. Had I known about the influx of new customers, and the delay in getting to everyone I would have (and will be) a ?bit? more patient. I will not be available today. I work until 4:30. Per the e-mail I sent on Aug 25th, I am generally free evenings after 4:30 pm and most Saturdays and Sundays all day. I also have the day off of work on September 16th and I can be available that morning until 11:30.? Green N Squeakyclean wrote on Sept 12th and said: ? I can be there between 8-9am on Friday 16th. See you then!? I wrote back on Sept 12th and said ?Great I will mark my calendar?. I waited on September 16th and Green N Squeakyclean never called and never showed. I will be contacting groupon and asking for a refund.

Business Owners Beware: I thank my lucky stars for customers like this cancelling on us, which is exactly what happen when I called to advise the customer I had some confusion in our schedule with the time and had to push the time back. I know this is contrary to the misrepresentation that was wrote on here and her interpretation of "agonizing" emails. There are some customers you know you are never destined to please, and then there are customers who appreciate a good,detailed, consistent cleaning company whose owner fights hard to find a balance of supervising ever job coupled with meeting the needs of customers who want to meet the owner at the original meeting. If this customer spent a little more time being a bit flexible with a small business owner who just recently sold 387 Groupons as she did writing this awfully long and exagerrated review she would have a cleaning service that actually cleans, unlike any other one in Pittsburgh.

Kim and her crew have been cleaning our house for several months now. Kim initially arrived and did a walkthrough. I told her which rooms needed to be attended to and the services I wished. They do an excellent job. She arrives with a few women and do a speedy job, but the house is nice and clean. We have a large, old, somewhat cluttered house and they manage to make the place look neat and smell wonderful every week. Their efforts have even inspired us to clean out some of our clutter! I really appreciate that they use all natural products.

Our experience with this company was very positive. The crew arrived on time, and brought all of their own supplies. Although I wasn't initially concerned so much about the "green" part as much as I was concerned about the "clean" part, I ultimately ended up very happy with the eco-friendly products they used! The construction had left quite a mess throughout the house, with dust and debris settling in places I didn't even understand how made it there. Green N Squeaky Clean seemed to find every last speck, and the house was impeccable when they were finished. They were at the house quite a while, but it was a very big job so that is understandable. And the smell... the products they use smell so fresh and clean! I was very pleased with the results. I did request that the windows be cleaned as well, inside and out. I was nervous about that, because windows are tough and we have a LOT of them. I don't know what they used, but they were PERFECT. No streaks. Unbelievable, especially when I tried to do it myself a while back and it was a disaster. I would recommend Green N Squeaky Clean to anyone looking for an eco-friendly solution...or just a clean house!!

After many discussions, a walkthru, etc. we decided to give them a try. We have a very open floor plan of 1000 sq ft (one level) and if it were not for a party we were preparing for, I might not have called - but given the appearance of professionalism by Kim - my expectations were high and at the time I need help! During the clean (there were 2) the carpet on the threshold of the bathroom and kitchen were soaked with water and when called on it, I was told that it was run off. Found film and dirt on our pictures - in essence they were dirtier after the cleaning then before. Having ones house cleaned is to add a sense of calm but all this created was aggravation and stress. My comment for the owner - quality, quality, quality, if you are going to charge these rates. The two of you sped through this house like you booked too many places in one day and had too much caffeine...AND IT SHOWED.

We completed this job April 19, 2010 and was told these 2 women would like regular bi-weekly cleaning services. We did our normal excelllent job and priced it fairly given the condition and amount of animals and animal hair that needed cleaned up after. This customer called and advised she no longer needed our cleaning services and that she decided to go another route never mentioning being disatisfied with our services in the slightest. We guarantee our services and would have happily come back to re-clean anything that was not cleaned properly, for free. Instead, this customer listed this post 8 months later without any contact to us at all. We have been in business since 2007 without a single complaint unresolved and not a single complaint period on Angie's List or BBB.

How did it go? It didn't. I did receive a quick reply to my initial email on 8-15-2009, and we set up a time for her to do an estimate later that week. Unfortunately, I was working at a job that was demanding and sometimes unpredictable, and was running late on the scheduled day. I spoke with her by phone to see if she could come an hour later, but that wasn't possible. I apologized, and asked in a follow-up email on 8-25-09 to reschedule for just after Labor Day, which she agreed to do. I contacted her via email on 9-10-09, 9-21-09, and 10-1-09, and finally received a reply on 10-5-09. She said she needed my address again to determine when she would be in my area next. I responded immediately with the requested info, and received a reply on 10-13-09, asking if I would be available on Tuesday, 10-20-09. I responded on 10-14-09 to say that 10-20 would be perfect, and to ask if Tuesdays would be a good day for ongoing cleaning, as I could organize my work schedule around that day. She responded on 10-15-09 to offer me a time of between 10 and 11 am on 10-20-09, and said that, yes, Tuesdays could be available as a regular cleaning day. We exchanged a couple more emails over that week to confirm time, address, house description, etc. On the date of the scheduled estimate, I received an email from her at 10:39 am, saying that she was running "terribly behind" and asked how long I would be at home that day. I responded to say that I could be at home until 2 pm and asked if she could make it by then. She never responded to that email. On 11-5-09, I sent another email, indicating that I did have another commitment on 10-20-09, but hung around until 4 pm just in case she might show. I did ask one final time if she was available for an estimate and cleaning services. She never responded. I don't know if the whole jerking me around in October was some kind of payback for my having to reschedule in August, or if she just is that disorganized and not in control of her schedule. The only reason I gave a D for responsiveness and not an F is that I was the one who initially had to reschedule our first appointment. In any case, her behavior was completely unprofessional, and I'm letting the Angie's List membership know about it. BTW, I can be this specific about the dates and conversations because I still have all of the emails. Description of Work: I found this service on Angie's List in the summer of 2009. The website, WWW.GREEN-N-SQUEAKYCLEAN.COM, looked impressive, although there were no reports submitted to the list. I also was somewhat concerned about a cleaning service that claims to serve Pittsburgh and ALL surrounding suburbs - that seemed unrealistic, and not typical of most cleaning services, who limit their service areas. But I contacted her anyway.

In response to this report I would like to apologize to the Member. We did have a hard time connecting, mostly on my part. I am not sure of the reason for the hostility though. I am a house cleaner trying my best to run a small cleaning service. I would never intentionally try to mislead anyone and don't feel this post was warranted. We are an EXCELLENT cleaning service that cleans homes in all parts of Pittsburgh happily and we are very proud of that.
